Welcome to another few days in my life living alone in New York City. This is me balancing my work life, marathon training, and social life in a few days in a regular week for me. Yes we actually get out of the house! If you're moving to New York City, maybe this might give you some insight into what it's actually like to live here as a regular average human.

Two of my biggest dreams have been buying a house and getting a college degree (in whatever order). I grew up bouncing from foster home to foster home with no stability. Owning a home meant stability to me. Within the last 3 years, I bought a house and got an associate's degree (currently working on my bachelor's).. both dreams were realized and I didn't have that big breakthrough emotional moment that I felt I should have. I worked SO hard to make them come true and I'm just like, great. Is it because I'm autistic? I don't know, but it's annoying lol. Like you, I've had to remind myself that I am currently living the life I dreamed about 5 years ago and that really does shift my perspective! When I'm feeling down, or unmotivated, don't want to go to work or do homework anymore, I remind myself of how far my day-to-day efforts brought me and that it wasn't always glamorous or fun back then, either.
I love hearing your philosophical thoughts on every day life in your videos, because it normalizes a lot of what, I believe, many of us are thinking.

I totally feel you about running in this heat. Was doing a run yesterday in Prospect Park and it was so bad. I was absolutely drenched by the end of it and I had to ride the subway home. I felt really sorry for all the people I had to stand next to on my ride home 😬

Your oatmeal...add some fruit! And chopped up nuts! You can keep frozen blueberries/strawberries...whatever...and defrost in water while cooking oatmeal. Drain the fruit and to bowl and zap in micro for 15 seconds. And a piece of toast for some texture to counter the blah of oatmeal. Try some brown sugar, as little as possible, for some taste.

You’re right about your channel, last year you had lost motivation, this year you’re training for the marathon, raising money for a cause that’s close to your heart and living your best life. I got my drivers license just over a year ago (I’m 27 but Norwegian and barely know anyone my age with a car, probs a Scandinavian thing haha) and first time I drove alone (in November or something) I put on a house music radio channel, and the first thing that came on was Jungle by Fred Again! I turned the music on max and vibed on the highway on my own late at night and stopped to put it on my Spotify, then listened to it on repeat for 1.5 hours😂 Aaaand then I created a playlist around it, which is awfully alike your Spring Run playlist lol (which I love!)

I'm 60 and 2 weeks ago I started my very first 9 to 5 job. Shortest hours I've ever had.
I also run my own business, which I began 8 years ago.
Prior to that I've had jobs that started at 5am and ended as late as 10 pm, and anywhere in between.
