There was misinformation in this episode. Here is a message from a concerned viewer: Just letting you know about the misinformation in you recent video at Lake Nacimiento. You stated "They want these things out of here" when referring to the white bass which would encourage anglers to kill and possibly waste white bass. This is absolutely incorrect as the reason there is no limit is because they are so highly reproductive. The reason they must be killed by cutting the gills or removing the head if they are in your possession is because we all spent several million dollars to eradicate them from Kaweah Lake and its drainages back in the 1980's because fellow anglers decided to move live white bass to Kaweah Lake and they washed into its watershed and rivers in 1983 when the Kaweah spilled from rainfall. There has never been an issue with this successful fishery at Nacimiento. I worked the lake as a game warden for many years prior to my retirement in 2020 and am an avid angler. Hate to see bad information get people in trouble and there is a mercury warning on safe quantities of white bass to eat so telling people, "They want these out of here" is a clear indication that no research was done on the fishery. If others catch and keep white bass they are not allowed to go to waste. There is no issue releasing them if you don't plan to eat them. You just cannot possess them in a live condition on your boat so they cannot be again moved to another body of water causing Californians to foot the bill.
White bass are not native to Nacimiento and its questionable why they where even stocken( 1950-60's) in the first place given their destructive potential plus the lakes location
Idk why they want white bass gone, spots do more damage there used to be tons of smallmouth and largemouth bass but ever since the spots came there has been almost no smallmouth bass and little largemouth bass
Fished that lake about 35 years ago! Used up 3 bags of rubber worms on those spots! Missed the one white bass boil that passed by us when we went up the river! Nice fishing lake, lots of coves! Thanks, Edward, Leroy and Bob!
1985 thru 1991 I worked for Heritage Ranch Homeowners Association. My father was selling real estate on the ranch. He had a Mobile Home there at 4536 Skipjack Ln. My daughter was less than a year old when I started working there. It was a beautiful place to live and we loved it so much there. Camping, fishing, the White Bass boils, Big Mouth bass, it was awesome. Thank you so much for the video as it brings back a ton of memories..
I remember many years ago fishing at Nacimiento with my dad and a neighbore. In one of the little channels, the water was perfectly clear about 20 ft. Not sure why, but it was beautiful, you could see the Whitebass schools going along with some catfish hiding under some logs. Amazing experience as a child.
So awesome to see naci full again! It’s going to be a great few years of fishing and camping along the central coast. Thanks for all you’re doing for our local area man! Also, any plans to visit red rock? I used to catch trout there about 15-20 years ago as a kid and with all this rain I’m ready to go back and check it out!
If you don't mind, where were the clearer waters found at? Planning on heading out there this weekend and wanted to get some markers of where to check out. Targetting white bass and will stock up on some roosters + I was thinking some spinners paired w/ swimbait.
Ed do you have any perch advice for fishing choppy surf or murky water post storm? Hi-Lo rigs, C-Rigs with a heavier weight? Been skunking my last two trips here in Monterey

You should! Thanks! You’ll get some cool drone shots soon
Edward that was some awesome white bass fishery there. I know they are invasive there but still awesome to catch. Always those prints are on point!!!

That big waterfall is the property my sister lives on. Place is awesome
Beautiful day out there. Cant beat it fishing with friends even if the fish is not all cooperating.
Those prints are super cool, brother!
Right?! Thank you!
Fun trip! The video quality is amazing 🤩 great content man 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Another great episode with the boys very interesting species as well.
Many thanks. You’d have a blast mike
Absolutely love it, great work as always buddy. Da roosterrrrr!
Thank you! Cheers!
Also, "invasive" is a loaded term as the state were the ones to introduce them decades ago. Same with the Stripers at Lake San Antonio.

Where is the spot that the water flow in and looks clear?
If you want to catch the Spotted Bass at Naci White Zoom Super Fluke ! I catch 20 to 30 every time I go. You're welcome
Haha we don’t have trouble catching them outside of the muddy times. But yes castmasters and drop shots are go tos
White rooster tail is the goat

Back of the main river bud
Never seen that part of the lake lol! Unrecognizable... snake creek???
Those White bass are super aggressive and really fun to fish,
💯
Where is this place

Yes, check conditions before you go and save your energy for. Better prospects.
White bass, great bait for crab traps.
Ohhh that’s true! We should load up. The lake would be happy about that.
So w kind of bait do I take????
Rooster tail
What do you do with the fish after you make an ink print?
Most of the time, eat them as the ink is non toxic basically made of charcoal. The white bass I’ll save for crab bait
Omg
Edward it’s not cheating it’s being resourceful
I love that!
Or Kast Master
Head Poke
Freeze em for crab bait.
