The guy that forge is Ornn. He is very big and it is not a yordle, but a the Demigod of Fire and Forge in Freljord. The warrior with spear and shield is Pantheon (Atreus), a warrior that received powers from celestials and become the Aspect of the war. He is trying to go on the top of the Mount Targon to talk with the Celestials. The lady with the flaming sword is Leona. She is the aspect of the Sun, and she is protecting the portal.
If you want a quick summery of a lot of the lore of this world I would recommend a video called "The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done" by Necrit. It is MMO related, yes, but he really touches on all the regions and the basics of how they work.
Definitely agree with Ravion. You should definitely give this video a watch it has a very good rundown of the history of the world and all the regions. Here is the link to the video just for added convenience: ruclips.net/video/9ypIpTu3ung/видео.html (The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done)
This was like the greatest cinematic from League of Legends yet. I'm glad you enjoyed this, it's so good~! Gotta look at the other cinematics, like the Warriors one, you reacted to the worlds version, not the cinematic version.
i love this cinematic, its amazing all throughout, yet having atreus (pantheon) in it just makes it even better. here is a short explanation of the fight between the spear and shield guy (pantheon) and the sword and shield woman (leona). pantheon is a man that climbed to the top of a magical mountain (mount targon) which at the top is the entrence to the celestial realm, the realm of the gods. he climbed in order to gain power of the gods in order to win war to protect his people. atreus is his name, until the god of war, pantheon tricked him and stole his body. pantheon waged war in the moral realm in atreus's body which lead to the fight with Aatrox, a powerfull man made demigod corrupted by blood magic that morphed to a demonic being. in their fight, Aatrox kills the god of war, yet atreus barely survived, in that moment when he got his body back, he chosse to not fight for gods bidding, not fight as a god of war, but as a man. and with his resolve, and lefover embers of pantheons power, he defeats aatrox by cutting off his arm which due to more complicated reasons sealed him inside his sword. in this cinematic, you see pantheon climbing the tower again to face the gods that have been manipulating others, for a man needs no god, for they are strong together. (fun fact: at the top you see him not using his spear while fighting guards, for even if they worship the gods they are still mortals, and he does not fight his people, but for them) then leona, the aspect of the sun came down to stop atreus from entering the celestial realm. and the giant meteor that struck him off the mountain? that was a star send by Aurelion sol, a celestial dragon, the creator of galaxies, who has been tricked by the celestial gods and enslaved to do their bidding. and then atreus used pantheons leftover power to fly onto the heavens to continue his fight.
@@GOTGames Also little known lore between Pantheon and Leona, they actually grew up as childhood friends and Leona has always bested him in combat tho idk if this piece of lore still holds up as some things have been updated.
Although this Lore between them is more implied than confirmed but when this piece of lore came out (Forgot where i read it was so long ago) you could more or less guess who the two where when they were kids.
You're absolutely not alone in feeling emotional about these kinds of epic cinematics. It demonstrates that you have empathy, and that the cinematic is well-crafted in its story and visuals.
@@GOTGames It really is. There are just so many moments of exceptionally good emotional storytelling in this one, done purely through expressions. The main standouts for me are Sejuani's jaw hardening just before she stands back up, Taliyah's anguish as she realizes just what Kai'sa is about to do, and Leona's surprise when she sees Aurelion Sol's comet coming to strike Pantheon down. And, of course, the video thought Pantheon's grief when kneeling in the mud was emotional and important enough to make it a focus for several seconds.
this must of be one of MOST detailed trailers of any animation i seen (and i seen quite a lot of games have crazy good animations) but details on faces...EYES especially in this is insane
Yep, goosebumbs and tears, esspacilly when Kai´sa looks at thalia and they both know that Kai´sa have to Jump in the hole... The Lore of all of this charakters is so Unique... and every charakter has his own Story. Sooooo much lore!!!
Oh yeah I feel those emotions with epic stuff all the time, get chills and teary eyed. I think everytime the female vocals come in on this song it gets to me
A brief overview of the scenes in this video: 1 - Ornn, the bearded guy with the huge horns. He is the dimi-god of the forge and is seen here preparing to fight and put the other demi-gods back in line. 2 - Panteon, spear guy. He has climbed to the top of Mt. Targon to challenge the gods after they used him against his will. He is stopped by Leona, a devoted disciple of the gods charged with defending the mountain. 3 - Kai'sa and Taliyah in the desert. Kai'sa after years trapped in the Void she became a fearsome hunter and finally escaped back to the desert where she was born. She found Taliyah, a young mage and nomad with the power to control earth. They are ambushed by void creatures who eventually call their mother, Rek'Sai the big one that comes to fight Kai'sa. 4 - Olaf and Sejuani in the frozen north (Freljord). Sejuani is leader of the Winter's Claw fighting with her champion, Olaf (axe man). They are fighting against the Ursine who are bears and worship the demi-god Volibear (seen in the lighting flash). As far as good or bad guys go, it's easy to say Rek'Sai, being a Void creature, is a bad guy, but otherwise everyone here is just on their own side of a conflict.
There IS a book in the world of League, it is called Ruination by Anthony Reynolds. It explains the story of the Shadow Isles, a completely different region from Piltover, so you can read the origin story of some important characters like Kalista, Viego, Hecarim and Thresh. For more context, there is The ruination cinematic, but for now I would recommend Warriors (2020) and Awaken, because you don't have to know the lore to fully enjoy those videos. Thank you again for videos like this! 💙
6:25 i myself can only speak for myself, but when this was released and one another cinematic, i was legit crying. i have been playing this game for 10+ years and seeing the characters you know stories/lore of getting portrayed like this makes you extreamly emotional. could something subconscious about me not enjoying the game as much anymore, while still caring about it so much, about the world i grew up with
The scene where the female warrior in the snow was shouting at the heavens and the desert girl was looking at her friend and realise the sacrifice she was a bout to make will always shed a tear for me
the dessert story is top tier. arcane, lissandra story, sylas story, viego, or morde story can't compare to the war that happened thousands of years ago. I really hope riot would make an animated series of shurima war.
FINALLY!! from the very first video I saw of you reacting to league of legends, I wanted to watch your reaction to this... this is my favorite cinematic created so far... watched this several times and every time I tear up! =D
I get teary eyed like that too. I call them "awesome tears" or "Gandalf tears", since i get them whenever anything badass is happening in media, and the first time was watching Gandalf holding back the Balrog in Fellowship (that one had me awesome-balling).
gets me full of emotions and makes me wanna cry evrytime i watch dis or any league cinematic!!!!!!even 2023 cinematic makes me wanna cry but for a very different reason
Love The Call as you get to see more of the LOL cinematic videos. Recently I watched on the LOL youtube channel they have 9 short 'Tales of Runeterra' animation clips from different regions within the Runeterra world, watch those next to see different characters from the game in their own environments and I'm sure (because it's been suggested after season 2 of Arcane) that they are going to expand future seasons to other characters in LOL outside of Piltover and Zaun
I'm so glad you felt such emotion just from this cinematic. I've cried every time I watched the Star Guardian's cinematic Light and Shadow even before reading the lore of that alt universe. And Arcane will almost surely just focus on Piltover and Zaun, but there's tons of short stories and comics on the universe page of league of legends. Necrit (the main lore guy for league) has made several videos summarizing the world of Runeterra for the upcoming MMO. They're long but I would absolutely LOVE to see you react to them
there is a book called Ruination wich is a story about one of the biggest disater in the Lore. would recommend getting it on audible cause the voice actors are just phenomal
Also the entire cutscene of the call is to show how the world is divided, everyone is at war. The ancient god of the forge, has started forging weapons again for the first time in hundreds of years. Runeweapons to fight against the void. The creature that pops out of the ground, rek'sai is from the void, the like evil purple realm. Later cutscenes/cinematics shows more.
I'm right there with you on the fact that these cinematics bring me to the edge of tears. I'm, broadly speaking, someone who doesn't know much at all about LoL. I've watched a few videos about LoL lore, and all of that, but I've at best scratched the surface, and they still have that powerful of an impact on me. But anyway, honestly, as glorious as this cinematic is, it isn't even my favorite. As far as purely in-world cinematics go, it would probably be the "Warriors | Season 2020 Cinematic - League of Legends (ft. 2WEI and Edda Hayes)," but 2019's Awaken and 2017's Rise really hit home for me very well, too. However, my favorite of their season music videos is unequivocally "Phoenix (ft. Cailin Russo and Chrissy Costanza) | Worlds 2019 - League of Legends." That one hits very powerfully for me. But... for one last specific recommendation, I'm putting forward "Worlds 2021 Show Open Presented by Mastercard: Imagine Dragons, JID, Denzel Curry, Bea Miller, PVRIS." It isn't a music video or cinematic like these ones, it is the opening ceremony of Worlds 2021, but... honestly, you're going to want to watch that one. Just take my advice XD
yeah ive cried some times before, you are not alone lol sometimes the feeling is just overwhelming weather its a feeling triumph or a feeling of defeat league always makes great cinematics they can convey like every feeling and emotion
you are in for a journey going through these! the fantastic things about these is that it gives us snippets of the whole universe, and no matter how good arcane was, arcane was just ONE city in this whole universe rich with lore and stories
For books there's the Ruined King book about his story. For Arcane we don't really know where it's going, we had some Q/A stuff from the developpers and that's it.
I recommend checking out Necrit, he is pretty much the Lore and News guy for League of Legends, so if you want to know more about League of Legends, he has you covered.
There are some books, there are webcomics specific to characters from the game on their website. Also the Arcane series is specific with the characters around Zaun and Piltover (we might go somewhere else but not like all around the wolrd of Runeterra which is the world of League of Legends)
You should check out Pantheon's theme it's sooo good! as well as his voice lines about perseverance and unbreakable will! The league lore is very deep with so many nations, continents, and beliefs.
There are a number of books, and many stories on the league site that explain a lot. Tenebrex goes through the lore of this video and what is happening in each area rather well, as well as freaking out about the cinematic.
If you want to learn about the world and lore of League of Legends. Then i can highly recommend the youtuber Necrit. He have made a video called: The world of Riot's mmo is already done. Give a quick explanation of the world
U could also check champion themes and teasers, story (there is so much story in this game), voice lines... the artwork is also crazy good and a ton of it
Actually, there kinda is a book you can read. Asides from the short stories and bios already free on their website, there's 3 books available. First is Realms of Runeterra, which is like an art book and lore book combined and has tons of exclusive arts and stories. Secondly there's a Novella called Garen: First Shield. Then there's their most recent full Novel called Ruination, which is a story about a very large event in Runeterra's past. Asides from those, they have 3 comics partnered with Marvel, which are Ashe, Zed, and Lux.
I see someone already recommended Necrit's vid for a brief lore, he does deep dives, dude is awesome, even got made into a character for one of the league games, Ruined King. His vid on the MMO is indeed a great intro into the lore, definitely check it out sometime. Simple answer to what you want to know, the ice place is the freyljord it is full of mostly nomadic people, the varying tribes are at odds for who should lead, with I think Ashe being the current leader, Volibear, the armored bear, and Orrn, the ram blacksmith guy (no not same as Heimer, a yordle) are both elder deities, and brothers, from that region. Shuirima, the place with all the sand and big purple creatures, was once a huge empire, it is now in ruins and the creatures are all void creatures. The void being a force that is akin to something like the flood in Halo almost I guess, they kind of consume everything and corrupt things into void spawn, Kai'sa herself is a void spawn technically, but instead of it being in control, she turned out more like Venom in Marvel, a symbiotic relation. She is currently with Taliyah in this vid, who saved her by pulling her out of a void rift, Taliyah is pretty much an Earth bender. The last area is Mt. Targon, a place linked to the celestials. There are being here known as aspects, which are basically a celestial's chosen vessel at the time, like Patheon (Spartan looking dude) and two tribes at war, the Lunari and Solari, worshipers of the moon and sun. There are also some Vastayan (half human and animal people) tribes here I believe. If I am not mistaken this was the year we got Aurelion Sol, a celestial star dragon who was imprisoned and broke out, I think that was the laser that hit the mountain, but not going to swear to that part. I think Arcane season 2 will focus on Piltover/Zaun again, but may branch into Noxus given Mel's mom already brought them in somewhat. Who knows what we will see though, Personally I would love to see some of the other regions, but hey, as long as it is as good as the first season, I am all in. Personally I think we will see Camille in season 2, possibly Jhin. Likely also Swain, the current head honcho of Noxus, he kind of has a thing with crows, and I honestly believe that the crows in season 1 might have been him spying on the area, he has an interest in Singed for sure, as in game lore we know he employs him for many... um... well... war crimes, yea... singed is not a nice man. We could also see Glasc come into play, she could very easily swoop in to take over Silco's area, though she would be a pretty big bad. Possibly also Urgot, depends how far we jump ahead in time, but I could see him be season 3 material just as easily perhaps. Almost certainly though we will be getting Warwick and the "glorious evolution" man. That is just my speculation though.
and yeah these trailer s hit me in the feels as well. Sejuani, the woman on the boar (bristle) has a great story behind her,not gonna spoil it but the writing to her lore is amazing. There is several short stories and comics about her and her step sister Ashe who end up at war with each other for reasons that go really deep. The "Heimerdinger" is called Orn, he is the god of fire and metalwork and no he is not related in any way to Heimerdinger (who is a Yordle thats the species) But if you wanna see fury cuteness...google Poro. Or watch the Braum cinematics. i have yet to find something more adorable than these guys and even in Lore Poros are so cute (magicly) that nothing on runeterra can willfully hurt a Poro. Accidents can happen but even the most evil beings dont touch a Poro.
Even Arcane barely scratched the surface of the stories we know about Zaun and Piltover. There are many many more incredible story lines and characters in that region itself, I doubt the show will ever leave it's boundaries. Maybe another series in that universe, honestly Riot could make a dozen of those and each would be different and unique in its own way. Sort of like MCU xD
Heimerdinger is a Yordle, which are very basically faerie people. That's Ornn, who's basically a Norse-style god of the forge. God's and monsters is basically the gist of this trailer.
Definitely next League of legends cinematic music must be "Burn it all down", one of the best without doubt. Enjoy the ride, there is only a couple more and it's over.
That was last years cinematic and you'd think we'd get even better this year...... As it's been suggested Necrit has awesome lore videos for League, so much so they made him "The LoreKeeper" in their spinoff game The Ruined King.
Whats awesome about these cinematics is, that the champions you see always use their power or abilities they have in the game. E.g. The spear guy (pantheon) jumping in the sky or the lady on the pig (sejuani) freezes the enemies with her throwable.
i get goosebumps every time i see this cinematic. they got so many good Cinematics, even the older ones are very good for their time. You should check out the Worlds Opening Ceremonys from 2017 upwards, they are basicly the World Championship and the Opening Ceremony get quite big and good
explaining runeterra is a monumental effort but the blessed isles got betrayed which led too the shadow isles and spectral beings and a event called the harrowing, Piltover discovered "magic" after Ryze saved Jayce, Zaun is the underground of Piltover where rouge science experiments take place, Shurima is a dessert region where a once great civilization was (where Taliyah and Kai'sa are in this video) the Frejoird is the icelands divided into 3 clans which I forget the name
I'll start with the Blacksmith or to be more precise the God of Blacksmiths, Orrn. The fact he is forging weapons again is a sign, after centuries of abstaining due to a tragic and destructive clash with his brother Volibear. In the Frozen North of The Freljord, they are part of a family of Primal Gods. Volibear The Relentless Storm Ornn The Fire Below the Mountain Anivia the Cryopheonix And one or more unconfirmed siblings. Back to the cinematic you see the Winters Claw one of the Three Major Tribes in the Freljord, led by Sejuani and her trusty boar Bristle they are trying to track down a magical cauldron made by Ornn that can feed her entire clan as they're going through a rougher winter. This leads them to a confrontation with the Ursai, shamanic followers of Volibear who you see in the clouds above. Their worship of him changed their appearance to look closer to his. They also follow his viewpoint of Survival of the Fittest and comfort breeds weakness hence why they plundered Ornn's followers and stole the cauldron in the first place as they saw a cauldron that magically produced food that could feed you for months would make people soft and weak.
Well, the best way to explore it is trought the lore in game. This doesn't mean u have to ruin you life by playing it. In game in collection card u have every champion with lore written in details. If u like to read i recommend learning about it this way.
Please react to the Warriors and Awaken next! :) There's also a cinematic called A New Dawn that does not really have music but you can react to it to see more of the League of Legends world's characters 😁
Unfortunately there's not a book BUT we do have deeper written lore for almost every champ out there! They intertwine with each other and it's amazing. Just pick one of them and prepare to fall into a rabbit hole lol. You just watched Kai'sa and Taliyah, Sejuani and Olaf, Pantheon and Leona, Rek'sai, Volibear and Ornn. The last are gods and also brothers and I'd recommend looking into them! :)
someone probably already told you, but beside videos explaining the lore in the YT, one of the best ways to learn about the League universe is to play Legends of Runeterra and read all the cards lines and interpretation the art in the cards. There a lot of lore, a lot of characters and a lot of mark able events in the history of runeterra
easiest way to explain it: Fire goat = Ornn, the primal god of fire. Thunder bear = Volibear, brother to ornn, and the primal god of thunder Ice pheonix = Anivia, sister to ornn and volibear, primal god of frost Theres more than those 3, but in game we only have the 3
Oh yeah this was by far the best cinematic EVER. I will never not get goosebumps from watching this. But yeah all the fights in this are epic but they're also all very sad as you can see from the parts of them falling down, but the point is to rise up and keep going. The Purple Laser Girl and the Brown Earth-Bending Girl are trying to rescue a group of villagers only to find them all killed by the creatures and they have to defend themselves. The Blue Frost Girl and her group are trying to search for an item to grant them food for the winter but the Polar Bear (Who's a God) thinks that they don't deserve any help so they rebel against him and his followers to obtain the item. And the Golden Spear Guy hates the way demi-gods and gods of sorts treat humans/mortals so he's trying to get rid of them to save humanity. The girl with the shield in particular who's fighting was someone he asked for help as his people were getting massacred and she scoffed at it. So when she showed up after he climbed up the tower he gave a little ironic scoff that she was the one who showed up and he's also genuinely happy that he gets to fight her as payback alongside the fact that she's a demi-god.
First "Awaken" then I recommend you watching the "Tales of Runeterra" mini series. Each video is small and it's an animation about a specific region in Runeterra. It's lighthearted and it's great for a macro understanding of this world.
Yeah, the lore of Runeterra is pretty awesome. There's so many storylines in it to explore, so I'm quite hopeful for the planned MMORPG, because I long to be able to explore the full world.
Probably been written before, but the drums playing when the bear god appears in the sky is part of Volibear's theme! I imagine you could have a TON of content from watching these champion themes
You have to check out the Warriors 2020 Cinematic video. For the blacksmith no he is not the same species. But im not too sure what exact species he is but he is like the bear that was up in the clouds. I think.... Still one of the best league cinematics. League is just great with their cinematics videos. But people are still shitting on the game even tho the game is fine it is a cutthroat game that is why a lot of people have a love/hate relationship with the game :) Buuut im more hyped for the Riot MMO-RPG game that they have announced but the exact date is not well known but should be somewhere 2024/25 maybe sooner maybe later but it is in the works. And it will be in the league universe. There is lore to everything in league but im not sure if there exists a book but most of the lore is directly in the league wikipedia to each charracter + in the card game legends of runeterra there are many more charracters and those lore supplements the lore of the league universe.
Hey Luke, if you are interested in knowing more about the lore of League of Legends, Riot is making an MMO based on its universe and Necrit, a RUclipsr made a series of videos regarding the summary of the lore, the races, classes, raidbosses, and items that may be included in the game. Many people have reacted to this series of videos as well, maybe you'd want to share your reaction with us as well. More power!
If you liked these game ost/cinematics I REALLY recommand you to react to "Die for you", it's an opening for Valorant ! Great song with great singer, great melody ans great lyrics (you have subtitles on the official video) ! Love what you do btw !
Pantheon (dude with a spear and shield) has one of the most epic lores. Dude was possessed by a god and after the god was killed by other powerful being he came to senses and defeated it by himself. Human that defies gods and comes out of it as winner.
i don't know anything about this game but i love its lore, i have researched and read a lot about the lore. The sword-forging sheep is called Orns and it is not of any race, for it is a god. The bears are worshipers of a bear-like thunder god named Volibeer, who is a brother to Orns.
For a live viewing, I would check out the 2019 Worlds Finals Opening Ceremony. Tho, if you want to watch the songs first, then watch "Phoenix" the Worlds Anthem of 2019 and "Giants" from True Damage
The one with a Spear is Pantheon, he wants to climb to the top of targon's mountain (i think is the closest place to be near Gods and Aspects) to prove that humans are strong too i think(Targon's mountain is really, really high, and it's terrain its very treacherous). The woman with the flaming sword is Leona and she is part of a factios that Guards the mountain i think. Then there is Ornn, the big dude forging a sword, he is a God of Freljord. Heimerdinger instead is just a Yordle, so it doesnt have any conection with Ornn
@4:00 no, Heimerdinger is a Yordle, in Arcane he is technically under a 'diguise' but its more for his lore than anything. Ornn on the otherhand is a God, along with his brother Volibear and his sister Anivia, they embody the phyiscal aspects of the 'LOL world'.
i keep repeating myself for the same comments after i have watched dozens of reaction to Imagine Dragons x J.I.D - Enemy and THE CALL i just CANT wait to see the cut scene in the MMO XD
The fight between Leona and Pantheon (Sword girl and greek/roman looking guy) explained simply: Pantheon used to be the same people, Solari, and posessed by a celestial. Once he dies, he goes back to being a mortal kind of? (His name is Atreus interestingly, this was before the god of war games) once mortal he wants to get payback on the gods, it has origins in mythology, but again, not necessarily ripping from the god of war games. Leona is a defender of mount targon (big mountain) and probably intends to protect the sun god, guarding that gate. Pantheon doesn't want to kill any mortals which is why he punches and shields the mobs and mostly parries Leona. The comets that knocks him off are unexplained in origin and intentionally vague. Some assume it might be Aurelion Sol, which is a Dragon celestial that can hold a galaxy in it's hand.
Awesome. Sooo much lore behind everything. CANNOT WAIT FOR THE RIOT MMORPG. Check out the Music Vids of K/DA. Check out Arcane. RIOT are the masters right now .. what Blizzard used to be.
The one that is worshipped by the bear people and the ram who is forging the blade are demigods, originally there are 3 known demigods but the 3rd one isn't shown any hints in here i don't know why because they are very closely related like brothers and sisters. The bear Demigod's name is Volibear, the Ram demigod is Ornn and last the Bird demigod(who is not shown here) is Anivia.
People who are new to Runeterra: wow such an epic fight League lore veterans: Ornn forge weapon pog. also: What I have to say about League lore is, that it is very cleverly interconnected. Every champions could realistically know every other champion around 3-4 corners, because there is always certain bridge-champions that connect different lore-clusters/regions (e.g. Taric, Morgana, and Kayle being from Demacia, but being deeply connected to Targon).
It is not about what happened to the world it is just that there are multiple regions, like a Nordic one, or a desert one or a tropical one. Arcane happens in two regions only, Piltover and Zaun, which are located in the same place. They are the steampunk guys.
1. Ornn is not the same species as Heimerdinger. Heimerdinger is a Yordle and Ornn is a Freljordian Demigod like Volibear and Anivia. 2. There are some comic books made by Marvel in parnership with Riot (Ashe, Lux and Zed) that I'm pretty positive you'd like.
i guess in a way Orrn (goat man) is a representation of a hero being made with his work forging. 1st he gets the raw materiel he needs and makes it and gives it form. 2nd he then hammers it, working it into something stronger. 3rd he them tempers it as a final test to see if it will brake after it all. and lastly it is done the weapon/hero is created after all the trial's it has goes throw.
Lunary must live in Caves abandoned temples but if not Solary will already kill all of them but It's good that Aphelios and his Sister in Spirit realm the most powerful killer of Solarys Fanatics cleric and their followers. Eye for eye. Tooth for Tooth. And Twisted Fate and Graves are the most comedic erm "partner" couple.
MIGHT BE ONE OF THE BEST!!!!

Watch Necrit video riott mmo is already done.
U will get an explanation about the whole lore and not just Pitlover wich is in arcane...
I came down here to recommend that very video!
Already got recommended multiple times on his Arcane reactions. Hope he finally watches it.
Necrit has a bunch of lore videos so depending on how in depth you want to go, this would be the best single source of League Lore.
Oh thank you for the recommendation! I would actually love to learn more 💯
This was like the greatest cinematic from League of Legends yet. I'm glad you enjoyed this, it's so good~! Gotta look at the other cinematics, like the Warriors one, you reacted to the worlds version, not the cinematic version.
Animation-wise, yes. Music wise, not so much, but still top 3
I strongly recommend League of legends cinematic 2023 🎉
nah the latest is the best bro 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
warriors and awaken >>
And they gave us a joke this year :< wanted Aatrox vs voidlings so badly
i love this cinematic, its amazing all throughout, yet having atreus (pantheon) in it just makes it even better.
here is a short explanation of the fight between the spear and shield guy (pantheon) and the sword and shield woman (leona).
pantheon is a man that climbed to the top of a magical mountain (mount targon) which at the top is the entrence to the celestial realm, the realm of the gods. he climbed in order to gain power of the gods in order to win war to protect his people. atreus is his name, until the god of war, pantheon tricked him and stole his body.
pantheon waged war in the moral realm in atreus's body which lead to the fight with Aatrox, a powerfull man made demigod corrupted by blood magic that morphed to a demonic being. in their fight, Aatrox kills the god of war, yet atreus barely survived, in that moment when he got his body back, he chosse to not fight for gods bidding, not fight as a god of war, but as a man. and with his resolve, and lefover embers of pantheons power, he defeats aatrox by cutting off his arm which due to more complicated reasons sealed him inside his sword.
in this cinematic, you see pantheon climbing the tower again to face the gods that have been manipulating others, for a man needs no god, for they are strong together.
(fun fact: at the top you see him not using his spear while fighting guards, for even if they worship the gods they are still mortals, and he does not fight his people, but for them)
then leona, the aspect of the sun came down to stop atreus from entering the celestial realm.
and the giant meteor that struck him off the mountain? that was a star send by Aurelion sol, a celestial dragon, the creator of galaxies, who has been tricked by the celestial gods and enslaved to do their bidding.
and then atreus used pantheons leftover power to fly onto the heavens to continue his fight.
🤯🤯🤯 the lore!!!!! Sounds just as epic as the cinematic!!
He's just a gigachad essentially i absolutely love league lore but the gameplay and the community is just....
Ah glad it's not just me!! So amazing to watch!
Taliyah
Oh yeah I feel those emotions with epic stuff all the time, get chills and teary eyed. I think everytime the female vocals come in on this song it gets to me
A brief overview of the scenes in this video:
1 - Ornn, the bearded guy with the huge horns.
6:25 i myself can only speak for myself, but when this was released and one another cinematic, i was legit crying. i have been playing this game for 10+ years and seeing the characters you know stories/lore of getting portrayed like this makes you extreamly emotional.
could something subconscious about me not enjoying the game as much anymore, while still caring about it so much, about the world i grew up with
The scene where the female warrior in the snow was shouting at the heavens and the desert girl was looking at her friend and realise the sacrifice she was a bout to make will always shed a tear for me
You know art or music are good, when they move a person to tears.
the dessert story is top tier. arcane, lissandra story, sylas story, viego, or morde story can't compare to the war that happened thousands of years ago. I really hope riot would make an animated series of shurima war.
FINALLY!! from the very first video I saw of you reacting to league of legends, I wanted to watch your reaction to this... this is my favorite cinematic created so far... watched this several times and every time I tear up! =D
if you are reacting to league cinematics, Warriors is a must, although you already reacted to the championship version
Almost every characters showned in the cinematics are playable in the game and it's so cool haveing possibility to summon specific characters
I get teary eyed like that too. I call them "awesome tears" or "Gandalf tears", since i get them whenever anything badass is happening in media, and the first time was watching Gandalf holding back the Balrog in Fellowship (that one had me awesome-balling).
One of my favs cinematics!! You can just tell the budget was on another level for this one.
Awaken and the warriors cinematic..... YES PLEASE
gets me full of emotions and makes me wanna cry evrytime i watch dis or any league cinematic!!!!!!even 2023 cinematic makes me wanna cry but for a very different reason
Your reaction is me everytime i started to watch league trailer again after 3 months every time
By far the best reaction. I absolutely get that flux emotions that’s overwhelming when I see something so good. This was so epic
Necrit does a summary of all of leagues lore if you are interested.
Intense is one way to put it. ;) This cinematic started this years story line. Fantastic in every way.
We had some Noxian characters from the outside of the city.
The call gives you the most epic tear inducing feeling of fighting for your family and friends and just surging feeling of survival
You should check out Pantheon's theme it's sooo good! as well as his voice lines about perseverance and unbreakable will! The league lore is very deep with so many nations, continents, and beliefs.
Check out Kin of the Stained Blade next! Definitely one of the best cinematics Riot has ever produced.
There are in fact 2 books you can read.
Garen First Shield and The Ruination
I believe both by Anthony Reynolds.
There are a number of books, and many stories on the league site that explain a lot. Tenebrex goes through the lore of this video and what is happening in each area rather well, as well as freaking out about the cinematic.
First time I saw this cinematic, Pantheon's eye/face/skin looked so real that my jaw dropped.
If you want to learn about the world and lore of League of Legends. Then i can highly recommend the youtuber Necrit. He have made a video called: The world of Riot's mmo is already done. Give a quick explanation of the world
U could also check champion themes and teasers, story (there is so much story in this game), voice lines... the artwork is also crazy good and a ton of it
goosebumps, no matter how often I watch and hear this cinematic!
0:18 "I'm gonna stop talking"
Me: Yes u will stop talking.
The "Heimerdinger" is called Orn, he is the god of fire and metalwork and no he is not related in any way to Heimerdinger (who is a Yordle thats the species)
But if you wanna see fury cuteness...google Poro.
If you are interested in the world and the overall lore of LoL i highly recommend watching the "The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done" by Necrit .
You should check out the Worlds Opening Ceremonys from 2017 upwards, they are basicly the World Championship and the Opening Ceremony get quite big and good
Next league of legends video I definitely recommend is "Warriors" as it shows some of the league characters that you already know very well... ^^
explaining runeterra is a monumental effort but the blessed isles got betrayed which led too the shadow isles and spectral beings and a event called the harrowing, Piltover discovered "magic" after Ryze saved Jayce, Zaun is the underground of Piltover where rouge science experiments take place, Shurima is a dessert region where a once great civilization was (where Taliyah and Kai'sa are in this video) the Frejoird is the icelands divided into 3 clans which I forget the name
The comparison to Misty Mountains was on fucking point man!
Volibear The Relentless Storm
Ornn The Fire Below the Mountain
Anivia the Cryopheonix
And one or more unconfirmed siblings.
Back to the cinematic you see the Winters Claw one of the Three Major Tribes in the Freljord, led by Sejuani and her trusty boar
Bristle they are trying to track down a magical cauldron made by Ornn that can feed her entire clan as they're going through a rougher winter.
I’ve cried multiple times over league cinematics and I couldn’t tell you why 😥
you had ''warriors'' in the recomendation at the end of the vidoe this is another epic video
Well, the best way to explore it is trought the lore in game. This doesn't mean u have to ruin you life by playing it. In game in collection card u have every champion with lore written in details. If u like to read i recommend learning about it this way.
Have you done any Legends of Runeterra Cinematics?
You should watch Tales of Runeterra. They all take place in the world of League of Legends. My personal favorite episode is "Don't Mess With Yordles"
someone probably already told you, but beside videos explaining the lore in the YT, one of the best ways to learn about the League universe is to play Legends of Runeterra and read all the cards lines and interpretation the art in the cards. There a lot of lore, a lot of characters and a lot of mark able events in the history of runeterra
easiest way to explain it:
Fire goat = Ornn, the primal god of fire.
Thunder bear = Volibear, brother to ornn, and the primal god of thunder
Ice pheonix = Anivia, sister to ornn and volibear, primal god of frost
Theres more than those 3, but in game we only have the 3
Oh yeah this was by far the best cinematic EVER.
There are ppl fighting eachother, for glory and life and death, and Ornn, who is blacksmithing :3
Chills .. every time ! :)
Heimerdinger instead is just a Yordle, so it doesnt have any conection with Ornn
you need to react the other cinematic warriors!
I get those emotions BIG TIME, along with anything nostalgic too xD
@4:00 no, Heimerdinger is a Yordle, in Arcane he is technically under a 'diguise' but its more for his lore than anything.
Ornn on the otherhand is a God, along with his brother Volibear and his sister Anivia, they embody the phyiscal aspects of the 'LOL world'.
i keep repeating myself for the same comments after i have watched dozens of reaction to Imagine Dragons x J.I.D - Enemy and THE CALL i just CANT wait to see the cut scene in the MMO XD
The fight between Leona and Pantheon (Sword girl and greek/roman looking guy) explained simply:
Pantheon used to be the same people, Solari, and posessed by a celestial. Once he dies, he goes back to being a mortal kind of?
(His name is Atreus interestingly, this was before the god of war games)
once mortal he wants to get payback on the gods, it has origins in mythology, but again, not necessarily ripping from the god of war games.
Not sure you noticed but, the female character that was teleporting around in the purple with the shoulder pods is Kai'Sah from KDA
Every main character in this cinematic is a playable character in the game
I got those feelings and i don't know if i enjoy the feeling or not, its too much for my heart ! lmao.
A book about the Ruination came out pretty recently.
People who are new to Runeterra: wow such an epic fight
League lore veterans: Ornn forge weapon pog.
also: What I have to say about League lore is, that it is very cleverly interconnected.
3rd he them tempers it as a final test to see if it will brake after it all.
and lastly it is done the weapon/hero is created after all the trial's it has goes throw.
watch "The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done" by Necrit if you want to learn more about the basics of all the regions and nations in Runeterra
This song kinda reminded me of "we lift together" from Warframe
I'd love to see you revisit some of the videos of the cinematic versions of what you already watched. :)
