I love Cass and Eugene sniping at each other a lot, but when they team up they’re honestly fantastic. Raps even used her portrait to give her mom a do over as well. It’s both of them, and that’s really sweet.

Well, technically it was Candace who did that with one of their inventions if I remember correctly. I really hope people are keeping the comments spoiler-free. i do like some of the more self-contained episodes of s1, including this one, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't so ready for the queen for a day reaction. one might say I'm ready as I'll ever be... wrong episode but I couldn't come up with anything better

This episode reminded me of a show, "To catch a thief" it wasn't very long lived (mostly because people realized that signing off on having their own house robbed for filming resulted in their home and stuff getting trashed in the process), but some of the advice was good, like showing how winning over a dog is easy so don't rely on your friendly family pet that is "good with strangers" to guard your house, or how sometimes signs that a house has security marks your house to be staked out as it implies there could be something good inside, or having climbable structures near windows, and deterrents like thorny plants under windows or poor access unless you are or intend to have wheel chair access can turn people away. But some of the advice was iffy, like not keeping suitcases in your home until you are going somewhere...as if everyone can afford to just buy all their luggage before a trip, and then get rid of it, or this idea that thieves will carry clipboards to stake out a house so the neighbors don't think this stranger lurking around your house is suspicious. Yeah some of it was very upper middle class neighborhood advice.

Me: Well, considering that your guards 1, allowed the newborn princess get kidnapped from her own room by an old witch 2, failed to capture Eugene stealing said princess' tiara 18 years later from the middle of the throne room 3, posted a single guard to keep an eye on Lady Caine's entire gang who immediately surrendered with a halberd against unarmed prisoners 4, would've allowed the thief to get away if not for Eugene... Need I go on? I think the answer is yes, Cassandra. Also Imma just say it now and bear the heat: Cassandra and Eugene is a much better pair than Rapunzel and Eugene.

This is one of my favorite of the "less plot important" episodes. I refuse to use the word "filler."
I loved his episodes. They didn't happen often, but when they did, they never missed.
