back in the days...expansion packs were planned and developed after the game released for a while...now they just do expansions when they are actually developing the game, which you probably think they should've put those in the game from the start.
Call of Duty season passes are always $50. They also give 4 expansion packs. I don't know why they're acting like this is so rare and crazy for a shooter to have a $50 season pass.
I've been waiting for this game for so long. So I don't care what the price is. Cod does the same thing every year and never gets the same back lash as this. And all they add is maps and guns.
I would have bought the season pass if it was $30 but any season pass that goes beyond that threshold is a no go for me. I mean $50 for a season pass? That's $10 off retail price! You might as well just slap Battlefront 2 on it and sell it as a new game, I wouldn't hold such a move above EA. I wouldn't be surprised if they considered it.
I mean this is the same price as Battlefield Premium all those years back for Battlefield 3 and 4. The bigger problem is the splinter in the player base the second the first DLC comes out. That is when you can lose your player base. It is just hard to shell out $110 for a game and hope that the 4 packs are worth it over that long time frame, or you even care during that time.
Change price of vanilla game to 30 dollars as a taste of Battlefront like hitman. change name of Season Pass to True Experience for thirty bucks. Contains clone era, new heroes, more campaign (campaign demo for vanilla, 3 full missions) and free big updates.
DLC is a massive rip off that can never be resold once you're done with it, and the media, whose job it is to protect players, does nothing. IGN, why do you exist if you never help your audience? You're the voice and link between player and developers, publishers, and console manufacturers, and yet you do nothing to protect our interests.
I know I'm not personally getting Battlefront. Beta wasn't impressive at all with no redeeming qualities and all the DLC bullshit. I'll pick something that's worth my money.

I find the complaints against the Battlefront season pass so dumb! Mainly because DICE has had the same DLC structure since BF3, and it's always cost $50. And with the DLC they have proven that they deliver content that's worth that price. Why was this not a big deal with Battlefield? But with Battlefront it suddenly is.
This is scary that we as gamers even debate anymore whether this is worth getting or not. It's not.
