Many ESL teachers were appraised of the eventual changes in 2020 and most of us began teaching the new structure in 2019. Also, if you're studying in December 10 of 2019 for a Cambridge exam, you're prob gonna be taking the exam in 2020.
They changed the format of the B1 exams and new format came into effect in 2020. This is in the new format so that is what the date probably refers to. This is probably an early trial for the new format.
A good way of practice is doing these interviews by yourself while you hear the questions in the video. You could think it's kind of crazy, but it doesn't matter. It's sometimes helpful to become fluency and feel sure of what you Say.
I remember when I took the CPE I was smiling, joking, and feeling good with myself and my English, these people are so serious like i got the impression they're about to cry.
Don't judge anyone ! One thing is to practice alone or with a friend, other thing is speak with the examiner in the day of the exam... So, it's normal wrong somethings. By the way, the best advice is to practice a lot before the exam, be ready for any situation !
@@saratabakov671 i'm having mine this Tuesday man, and i'm feeling so bad. Please do u have any advices? I'm like really stressing. I keep think i will stop or i will say something wrong

How can the interlocutor ask the question " Do you have a favourite sports team " to one candidate then ask the other if he agrees? you cant agree to a personal question , surely the question should be " and whats your favourite sports team" This is not an open ended question , bad example in my opinion.
Sometimes its proper to keep speaking and add more empty extra words, more for the phonetic impact, and sometimes it's better just answering with the fewest words possible. I don't like the first option, cause I'm not very good at it, but it can prevent cringe situations and can help you to look more prepared with your English. So I think everyone should prepare some repertory phrases just to vomit them in the speech, to impress more the listener.
@@Sara95SLP I know I am late for 2 years, but if you say "thats it" before the minute ends (you have one minute to say what you can see in the picture) then your overall score won't be as good as you expected it to be. You have to talk until the examinator stops you.
In this video we are introduced to the teacher Susan and Randha who will ask questions to the children, the first girl is called Kenza who comes from Algeria and the boy called Mohammed who comes from Saudi Arabia, the teacher asks them if they work or They study, and he even asks if English will be very useful to them in the future, to which Kenza's answer is correct since with English we can get to know new countries and communicate better.

Welldone Kenza and Mohammed I'm not sure if your mother tongue, but I wish I could speak your language as well as you spoken mine. And also in front of a camera respect.
For those who feel the interlocutor(examiner) is being too rigid, there is a reason why examiners have to behave in a certain way. An examiner is supposed to carry out the test in the way that allows examinees to showcase their language abilities without intervening to avoid unfair test results. Normal interaction one gets in everyday conversations should be kept to minimum on the part of an examiner. To add feedback including reactions such as approving smiling, excessive nodding, and frowning brows is considered a factor a disruption to the overall integrity of the test.
So dou ypu think it isn´t a good idea for the student to interact with his examiner, for example by answering back with another question to get his impression?
