  • This video shows the demo we showed at Ham Radio 2022, in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
This demonstrates the core underlying technology behind what we’re calling “SDRconnect”
“SDRconnect” is the new name for the multiplatform version of SDRuno (up till now we called it SDRuno V2)
The latest info on the imminent release can be found on our blogs and the SDRconnect info page link included: www.sdrplay.co...
We demonstrated the completely rewritten Core DSP engine for Spectrum and Waterfall displays - with the prototype software running on a Raspberry Pi computer. We also show the networking capability by remotely accessing an RSP based in the UK.
This is still an early stage demo, and the software team have a lot to do to complete the graphical user interface.
Work is underway on the new graphical user interface which:
    • Retains the style and popular features of SDRuno
    • Offers a more consistent and intuitive layout
    • Addresses fixes and improvements suggested by users ever since SDRuno was first adopted.
SDRplay plans to release the first version of SDRconnect before the end of 2022 - it will support the RSP1A, the RSPdx and the RSPduo as well as the older obsolete RSP2 and RSP2pro.
The original RSP1 (phased out in 2017) will cannot be supported by SDRconnect (but SDRuno V1.42 will continue to be available for RSP1 users).
The new graphical user interface will bring a lot of advantages based on what users have been asking for - like more consistency in the way panels and menus are organised making it more intuitive and easy to use, and the ability to lock panels together.
See our Mac M1 demo of SDRconnect on: • Introducing SDRconnect...
This is one of many videos from SDRplay - makers of the RSP family of SDR radios. See the full list of SDRplay videos and applications documents on: www.sdrplay.co...
The RSP family of SDRs from SDRplay cover 1kHz to 2 GHz with no gaps and give up to 10MHz spectrum visibility.
SDRplay is a UK company. The RSP SDR receivers are made in the UK and can be purchased for worldwide delivery directly from www.sdrplay.com/ (click on purchase and select your country to view shipping costs) or you can buy from any of our worldwide resellers listed here: www.sdrplay.com... Many of the resellers offer local free shipping and/or local language technical support.

@@SDRplayRSP Thank you for your prompt answer. I trust you and know that "quality takes a little longer". Congratulations on your amazing lineup of products. I recommend them to other people wherever I can. 73 de G4EYR/DL1EYR former member of Shefford radio club.

Linux Support and Remote Access; can't wait. My only suggestion would be go get rid of the multiple windows thing, and make the app one window, like the vast majority of programs. It's more of a pain in the rear than it is useful.

Does the Core DSP engine make use of multiple CPU cores?

not a fan of anything using the internet or cloud when using my SDR.. any online 'bridge' = someone can inevitably track what you are listening to

      @cURLybOi 2 года назад +4

network security enthusiast here - for someone to be able to track what you are listening with your DSP, it would have to be such a precisely targetted attack, that it would be easier at that point to just stand under your window and listen :)

you can also have the device installed somewhere in your house, and being able to access it from another room in a LAN. That would be a useful usecase that doesn't limit your safety in any way

Does the DSP engine reside at the RSP end ie Raspberry Pi and Only the GUI audio is sent to the user interface client device, so l wont need 50Mbit connection between the 2 ?

Says so in the Key Features. May only be the Client, with PC acting as the Server. It is hard to see a Android device having the processing power.
