It’s at Mugello Italy race circuit on a coltish day with fairly worn tires and I the driver is out of practice a little. I can easily get under 1.55 a Lap and did in other sessions that day, but in this session I was doing around 2.00, so you can see 5 seconds faster would wipe the floor with the heavy 600HP RXC Coupe even though all I have is 250HP on 650 KG to play with.
Yes easily on a tight and twister circuit like Imola, Infact it would be faster. At Mugello its close and depends greatly on the driver and car setup up and tyres and track condition/ weather. The SR3 loses a lot of time on the straights to the RXC coupe with a third as much HP, but through the fast tighter corners it wins the time back through much lower weight and braking benefits versus the heavy RXC. Most importantly to note is the lower cost and fun and ease to drive aspect of the SR3, which to be honest makes the SR3 the best choice overall.
