@@speckledtruth4577 thanks, I haven’t thrown mine yet but likely fish the same type of higher saline waters you fish, POC south to the Laguna Madre out of Port Mansfield so this is good to know. I’d rather fish nearly neutrally suspending to slow ascending subsurface lures in my preferred depth of
I had a blast with a Shadow Rap in the surf last August, just south of Pass Caballo on Matagorda Island, several stout tiderunner trout
Thanks for the awesome tips on using theses baits!
Michael Umstead thanks for supporting us bud
Thanks Chris
Haymaker and Halloween still your favorite colors here?
Michael Kelley Haymaker for sure, Halloween and Purpledescent a close second
Hi Chris, great info, very helpful. Have you ever used the Rapala RipStop and have any opinions on it? Thanks
Clinton Reed absolutely, it will be the next video in this series
Have you ever taken the middle hook off? I’ve done this with mirrolures and had success.
Scott Frederick I have not mainly because I don’t want to change the ascent rate
I’ve taken the middle hook off of every three treble lure I own, with no negatives and it’s just better.
I’m confused, you talk about it’s ascent rate but then you read off the package that it’s a slow sinker?
It does say slow sink but I fish in a high salinity environment and that causes baits to suspend of slow float
