That wing is in really nice shape
Great video man, I can’t wait to get my gold wing from a family friend. Thanks for sharing this awesome find
Loving that wing I have a 84 GL1200 with only 66000 miles on it my only source of transportation as of now. Great bike
Wing..full choke(Fuel enrichers) no throttle and spray your starter Fluid in while cranking..
empty tank and put in 50/50 Pure Acetone /Petrol mix after draining Carbs
have plenty of Ventilation when the Engine is running
I always put in a pint to a quart of 120 Octane aviation fuel, that would usually overcome the varnished gas in the tank.
In fact I traded my 85 for a 92interstate at vesnick Honda in Wisconsin. Your working on a 85 aspencade.
Every Honda mechanic I knew put about 18inches of vacuum hose on their cans of Ether just for this bike.
Is that Kirker exhaust on that FJ? Damn those bikes were quick!
Had 1988 FJ 1200
Restore both of them. There both great motorcycles.
I have a 2000 Kawasaki voyager XII zg1200. They said the starter clutch is bad. Any video about that problem.
I havnt owned one, but if its truly the starter clutch, thats an engine out service and requires splitting the cases. Very involved job and usually means your doing a rebuild at the same time.
I’ve found starter clutches not working because of sludge , do a oil change ,check crankcase breather then do a 100 mile ride. You may get lucky!
Of course it will run. It's not a Harley.🤣
That is not a 95 it might be an 85 but in 95 they were making the GL 1500
Yes, see caption i put in video on screen to address this. Sometimes when I am talking words come out. It happens.
Any plans on selling the Goldwing? Thanks
Hey, bike has been long sold. Thanks for watching.
Come on, how Lucky, have that bike abandoned its crazy, its a beautiful machine, a Dream one for me here in south America, we have few here but really really expensive are here, like 15 20 grands dollars
Fairly common here, they just sit because their owners are old and people dont want to buy them.
I came across a 1987 Aspencade with 9,230 miles.
so what happened to it?
The goldwing is still sitting in my shop. Winter project.
The FJ i did just what i said, I got it running and sold it to someone who wanted it for a low price.
This is a 85 not 95 I had one just like it an still have the owners manual. U don't know your gold wings. It's an 85
Well aware it's an 85. It was a slip of the tongue. That's why I edited it and put *85 in text on the screen if you were paying attention. I know them just fine but thanks for the comment.
It's also written in the video description
why do some of these guys insist on up the nose shots ?
Put many miles over many years on an 84 wing. First thing, plan on getting a new stator and while you are at it a timing belt. Not that they ARE bad, but they do fail and if you don't know the history.. well make your own history.
Yes timing belt is on the list and goes hand in hand with old wings
