Interesting they went to 18+ with this set. I know they are trying to appeal to AFOLs, but nothing here requires that level of building, and I think a lot of kids would love this set
The black box needs to gooooo. It's fine for UCS models or the helmets but sets like these look so much better with the artwork behind it. The new Sesame Street set would look so much better with background art like Flintstones or Tron instead of just plain boring black
As a lover of Lego animals, I'm excited to see a recolor of the stag/reindeer mold! I hope we'll get more of those in other sets, ideally even in a less expensive one.
This is an adorable set. The only complaint I have (which is minor) is the absence of a Santa minifigure. I think considering there is a sleigh and the picture on the wall also includes Santa, it should have included a figure of him.
I feel like the winter village sets lose some of their charm when they're made 18+. I feel like this could easily be 14+ without changing a thing, and I know way back to the days of the old Lego Club magazines, lego has always marketed the winter village sets towards kids as well as adults. I'm afraid parents will read the age and assume it's too advanced for their kid to build and miss out on the experience.
I love that winter village sets primarily focus on structures. If only LEGO city did the same and at cheaper prices. I’d love to to see a 16x16 mall santa vignette set
Just received my set, looking forward to the build. I agree that the price is too high but I wanted to add this to my Christmas decor with last year’s Gingerbread house. Thanks for another great video!
I’ve never had an interest in these sets - although they look quite beautiful. However, I saw that my friend’s sister had a few of these, and now I wanna get them! This may be the first one I own!
With Winter Village sets we tend to rely on our first reaction, how much they would had to the charm and "magic" of Christmas. Particularly with little ones in the house. If they capture our attention and they go well with what we have, then we consider. We only have one place to display them, so we try to build a story, as cohesive as possibly, and while the elf club will pair nicely with Santa's workshop the gingerbread house (how cute is that interior?!) Would look too cartoonish, to pair with everything else. So for us it was a pass.
I really didn't like the Gingerbread house as part of the winter/Christmas theme. Fairytale, yes, but winter wonderland/Christmas? I didn't think it fitted, so I got the Elves Cottage :)
Just bought this set. I like it so much. Cant wait till it is finished. Seller still has the 2019 and 2018 set for sale as well for retail price, so i am pretty sure I will buy more
Most of the 18+ sets are overpriced. The 18+ tag is just an excuse to charge a premium for adults buying LEGO. This set can definately be build by a 7 year old kid.

Wouldn’t have got it,yet,if it hadn’t been double points.
@@Utd_YT our son easily built stuff like this at 7. He'd rebuilt his dad's millennium falcon twice at that age. Our daughter is almost 6 and isn't far off, would only need a little supervision. It seems to me a betrayal of who Lego is really meant to be for and what the company is meant to be about to label sets that are for the whole family as 18+. And 18+ carries connotations that something is very much *inappropriate* for children. It's just really weird and off imo.
Hallo Jangbricks, Computer, green Screen + Floppy disk,, wonder how many young People only know this from A Museum or Antik place, haha. I remember having to remove disk, insert spell check disk, remove, insert another disk. The typing in commands, ect. My daughters first computer and I got to use it or at least tried, LOL. Love the tree build. Thank you, Carola
The frequency of the use of the plain black box is already really starting to bother me in that it makes some sets like this more serious than it should be; they lack charm and the artwork/graphic design that we see on past and current sets. Regarding this set, it definitely looks lovely and charming; my main problem with it, just like past Winter Village sets, is the size of it relative to the price is a tad below par. Lots of pieces, but mostly very tiny ones. That said this does have a reindeer for the first time to my knowledge, based on the Patronus mold, which is costly on its own. Given the options, I'd probably pick the Gingerbread House, because it has a fair amount more pieces and feels a bit more substantial because of that, even though it's roughly the same size anyway!
This set is a part of the Winter Village Collection. It is the last build for this series. The winter village included Winter Fire Station, Gingerbread House, etc.
Lego needs to create a separate North Pole series for sets like this Elf Club, the Gingerbread House, and Santa's Workshop. Then release a North Pole set and a less fantasy Winter Village set. I don't really care for the North Pole themed sets so this will make two years without anything interesting to add to the Winter Village collection. If they run out of ideas, just bring back one of the older sets for a year like the Post Office or the Bakery.
I'm not too keen on the string lights on this - both because they're bigger and "clumsier" than those in previous Winter Village sets and because I think they look a bit out of place. Admittedly that is probably just down to differences between the USA and "my neck of the woods" (Norway) when it comes to how common they are. Around here adorning your house with coloured lights is fairly rare. Also, since I didn't get into the Winter Village theme until a couple of years ago none of the other WV sets I have (from the train onwards) have them.
Great set but the gingerbread house still is a better buy imo, the Xmas tree and wreath are definite upgrades in this set tho. So many chairs for a cast of figures that can not sit seems a bit odd
Try thinking in the mind of an somebody who is 18+ in which this set was made for. Most older adults like me since I am in my 50's, would just look at it all around and work the features as well as switching around the figures as a way of play for a new look. I do that with all my modular buildings.
I was able to make a filler for the reindeer after noticing that I did have a 1 z 2 tan brick and a 1 x 2 tan tile to fix that on my own therefore having a free standing reindeer. After Christmas, my homemade filler will stored in its box.
Hmmm. I think its great that we finally have a actual molded reindeer for christmas sets , but I really d9n't think they used the right mild. This looks to much like a stag or deer. ( beacause thats shat its supposed to be) Imo, they should've used the sven mold from frozen, because that is actually supposed to be a reindeer and would've look way better withbdifferent printing than this
Building it now as it will take a while to get all the winter village sets built. I really disliked building all the little stuff at first. I rather have more to the main build itself then all the little things that could end up in an advent calendar.
I think that's one of the reasons I hate most lego sets nowadays. I could never out my finger on it but its the fact that theres never really a single big build its all smaller builds which make up lots of sets
Any chance of you reviewing the lego creator fairground carousel set 31095? Really would like to know how good(or bad) it is and it's alternate builds. Is it worth buying multiple copies?
Interesting they went to 18+ with this set. I know they are trying to appeal to AFOLs, but nothing here requires that level of building, and I think a lot of kids would love this set
"That is a triple decker bunk..."
Emmett would be proud.
Spaceship spaceship
The triple decker bunk is amazing. Totally makes the set for me.
YES! I’ve Been waiting for him to do this!!!!!!!
Thanks for the likes!!
This set is beautiful, and goes along fantastically with the Santas Workshop! Great review, Jang :)
Who are you?
What a neat little set. Love the reindeer. The chest tuft detail is lovely in particular.
The black box needs to gooooo. It's fine for UCS models or the helmets but sets like these look so much better with the artwork behind it. The new Sesame Street set would look so much better with background art like Flintstones or Tron instead of just plain boring black
I feel like this has more depth than the gingerbread house and that adds value.
My Christmas will always be merry if lego is involved
Brick Business yeah haha
As a lover of Lego animals, I'm excited to see a recolor of the stag/reindeer mold! I hope we'll get more of those in other sets, ideally even in a less expensive one.
Christmas 🎄 is sneaking up on us... social distancing turkey time whoop whoop
I love this set and jang, who else has been watching him a long time
I'm getting this today. It's such a great set!
This is an adorable set. The only complaint I have (which is minor) is the absence of a Santa minifigure. I think considering there is a sleigh and the picture on the wall also includes Santa, it should have included a figure of him.
Wow, that keyboard on a stand is awesome. I love how the anti-stud section of the 1X2 plates with a technic hole, hint at further legroom.
I like the new reindeer wish they could've put it in the older Christmas sets
What a charming set, really. Love the action features, not only they hold play value but also comidic value as well. Thanks for the review Jang.
I feel like the winter village sets lose some of their charm when they're made 18+. I think Lego knows very well who has bought these sets (and for whom) in the past and that’s why they made it 18+
@@manuel0578 I bought these as a kid...
My only complaint on this set is the fact that the elves can't fit trough the door (when standing straight)
LOVE this set! Will definitely buy it. I wish though that Lego makes a light brick that can stay on, instead of keeping to press the button
I really, really like this set! It is so charming! It has a mythic appeal to me that I can't quite put my finger on.
I love that winter village sets primarily focus on structures. If only LEGO city did the same and at cheaper prices. I’d love to to see a 16x16 mall santa vignette set
I’ve missed you Jang it’s been too long
CJED I know what I said.

Love this set! Wish they included a Santa minifigure though.
I have the Fire station from last year, it’s pretty cool.
Watching the video, I feel really warm and somewhat nostalgic, thanks for the video jang!
IBM PC - is the best small part of this set, really awesome. Great review!
Just received my set, looking forward to the build. I agree that the price is too high but I wanted to add this to my Christmas decor with last year’s Gingerbread house. Thanks for another great video!

I really can't decide between this or the gingerbread house...
I have both. Each has its strengths. Those Gingerbread minifigs are 'dorbs!
With Winter Village sets we tend to rely on our first reaction, how much they would had to the charm and "magic" of Christmas. Particularly with little ones in the house. If they capture our attention and they go well with what we have, then we consider.

Easy, this.
Non the winter train is the best
Who else loves his videos?
Just bought this set. I like it so much. Cant wait till it is finished. Seller still has the 2019 and 2018 set for sale as well for retail price, so i am pretty sure I will buy more
I dont know what it is but your voice is just so calming
Completely agree about the price...but it’s still a nice set
The tipping bunk bed play feature reminds me of Wallace and Grommit.
I'm really loving this Christmas set! It brings the joy of Christmas to Lego And besides those elfs mini figures look so cute! 👍
The elves must use old computers for their nice list because they can't be hacked remotely.
I like the 'big-fig' scaled lights.
Most of the 18+ sets are overpriced. The 18+ tag is just an excuse to charge a premium for adults buying LEGO. This set can definately be build by a 7 year old kid.
Wouldn’t have got it,yet,if it hadn’t been double points.
Not sure bout 7 year old...I think about 10 year old if they have started playing with LEGO for a long time, otherwise, 12

This review felt like a 'nostalgic/classic(al?) Jang review' for some reason. Enjoyed it!
The piece to price ratio is amazing.
That computer dope

The 1980s Commodore 64 PC is my favorite par!! Wish this was a polybag!
This would make a lovely little Christmas ornament for my mantelpiece
Love, love, love! Xx got mine ready for Christmas and got some extra elves who’ll be moving in too xx
Wish they had kept the brick built reindeer so it matched the Santa’s Home set from a few years ago.

Really great review as always but would have been nice to actually see the bunk beds' gimmick in action with figures.
I like the Lego Christmas sets but this one is so nice
That's a nice door. It reminds me of a bulkhead door on a ship or a submarine.
The reindeer should've had a red nose
That requires licensing. Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer is owned by whatever studio made the movie.
Very excited to pick this up. Look amazing
I'm not generally into Christmas sets but I may have to get this.
I would definitely get this set just for the reindeer
Love this set! Kinda weird how it is 18+ though. Huge fan of the minibuilds
I love the computer.

The 18+ branding is ridiculous. But otherwise a nice addition to the Winter Village subtheme.
I like this set

We need a remake of Santa's workshop with a minifig scale Santa's sleigh!
Wonder if that bed was inspired by Emmet.

ordered it a couple of hours ago, now i need to find a home for it as the side i display the holiday sets is geting rather full
honestly I'm pretty much only here for the deer. I hope we get a less cartoonish one in the future, preferably in a less expensive set.
I wish it was still creator and that the box was better
The tree design isn’t necessary new, I remember something very similar in last years ginger bread house.
Love it, except for the string of lights that stand way, way out and look comically out of proportion.
I didn't even realize that piece is the Patronus mould until watching this video

Elf battle pack
I need these waffles. Hey, the next xtra food items pack should come out next year, right?
I agree
Too bad they never go on sale in Canada.
why the red background for the figure reveiw?
Aren't the pirate ship and the piano references to Lego sets?
Should I get this or the gingerbread house?
Notice the seat in the elves room isn’t directly placed on the floor like some other lego sets 😂
Where did you get price tag 88€ ? It's 109€ (128$) here in Lithuania :/ Way to expensive.
