I worked at a record company in L.A. right on the West Hollywood/Beverly Hills border. There was a restaurant, 'The Cock and Bull' right nearby. I had been there but it was more of a hang out for actors. Sort of like Musso & Frank. I was stopped at a red light and watched a man, well into the wind. It was Robert Mitchum. Right nearby was The Hamburger Hamlet which I went to very often. One day Dean Martin was in a booth by himself with 4 different drinks in front of him. I regret not sitting down and talking to him. I worked with high profile people and got on well. Working in the music and film industry is extremely stressful and many large ego's govern people's lives. Some just don't know how to say 'No'. Thanks.
Never knew that about Liz Taylor.
Doesn't mean she was a rip roaring drunk. It was the norm back then to *have a drink
All 3..
