A book chronicled the start and early days of the AIDS epidemic. I think it was entitled something like The Band Played On. The author was also gay, and he died young in his early 40's. It's a really good read. I was living in Ft. Lauderdale during the 1980s, and our coroner recorded all the deaths caused by this mysterious disease.

Freddie Mercury (1946一1991)
Actors!!!!
NOT SINGERS!!
All actors and singers were famous
people who passed away from Aids
@@catwoman4361it doesn’t matter he still died from it ❤
Tom McBride was not the Marlboro man. That's Christian Haren, who also died of AIDS.
Thank you! 🙏🙏 There was no intention to make this mistake, and I'll correct it to avoid it in the future. Thank you! 🙏🙏
Very telling that they chose in such a way a person to represent the epitome of real man.
Rock Hudson was most beautiful men and actor.
Loved him
He still lied and knowingly exposed others to the virus.
Yes
@@anthonythomas1504 What does this with his beauty to do ?
@@millyyeasmin7904 I wonder how many were in denial in those days. Probably thousands.
Almost all same age and died late 80s mostly 1988 😢😢😢

And some of them were younger.
They were no more for their good years as human beings.
De 85 à 94 😢
No one listed here lived passed 1996. :(
An entire generation of beautiful men & women in the prime of their lives never saw their life fulfilled. I'm lucky to be alive @ 68.
I remember Tom Villard, who portrayed the hippy from the poetry class in "My Girl". Too bad. He seemed pretty cool. Ben Piazza... the stuffy father who was offended by the Blues Brothers in the Restaurant and the father who mourned his slain son,Brady in "Silver Bullet"
So sad for all the people on the list and their family. May they all rest in Peace.
It was difficult to come of age in the 80s and 90s. I was sure I'd die before seeing 30. Im 55 now. Woo hoo!!
Hello may i ask the title of the music. Thanks
At Rest-Romance by Kevin Macleod
Tragic they didn't get to live a full life 🙏
Our days are numbered before we are born. No one dies before the Lord says so.
Not an actor, but Ryan White should be remembered. Who knows how long the misconception of AIDS would have lasted if not for him.
Remember how his grave was vandalized and it was on the news?
Forget the french actor and director Cyril Collard. (1957-1993).
Yeah. He was the super-talented author of "Les Nuits Fauves" (French for "Savage Nights") who also directed and starred in its namesake movie as the reckless, bisexual, and HIV-infected Jean.
A great video to remember the stars who’ve passed
What a shame😢they all gone ın same two years😞
Until they found Medicine 💊 😢 for this Awful 😖 Desease, Luckily So many Young people died and the Worst thing is : that they had to be so secretive about their HIV illness 😢 So sad. Efrat
I noticed that. A lot of them died in 1988.
Late 80's - the huuuge cocaine boom in USA.
Dreadful HIV has been become a secretive sickness.
There's Rock Hudson, Anthony Perkins and some other people. 🙄
Why all of thrm died between 1986-1996
That was the height of the AIDS epidemic.
Eventually found waysxto control virus
The first triple therapies arrived in 1996.
AIDS was discovered in 1982 and that's the period where it reached its peak .
BREF.
Riposino in pace
They didn’t mention Gene Anthony Ray (Leroy from Fame). RIP all of them ❤
No. Most were character actors. Whether you knew them or not.
Wow, I remember watching so many of these actors in TV shows in the 80s (Dack Rambo, David Oliver), but I had no idea that they had passed away of AIDS. Such a tragic loss of talent and potential.
Foarte multi barbati. Sida ataca in majoritate barbatii?
I just read an article online. "Celebrities now living with HIV". EVERYONE mentioned in it is gay!
But look at the years of their deaths. Late 80's-early 90's. Just after the cocaine boom in USA. Actors had to much money, to much pleasure, then... To much consequences.
I felt extremely sad when I knew of their silence due to a dreadful sickness although being not knowing them.
When Robert Drivas played a crazy person I am not sure if he was acting, he was very convincing.Denholm Elliott is one of the few actors that the older he was the better the performance.

Most of these men look like beautiful, sweet, caring people.
Was Antony Hamilton telated to Laird Hamilton?
Love the music, it's so haunted.
I have no idea who most of these people are. I was surprised with Amanda Blake being on the list.
It makes me sad,😢🙏 can someone tell me what the title of this music is?
Amanda Blake was so pretty and so was Cookie Mueller!
The rumor is...a homosexual married Amanda in order to give her AIDS, so people wouldn't think that AIDS was only a homosexual problem.
Death from any communicable disease is a tragic event. Covid was a world wide tragedy and it didn't need to happen!! AIDS is still causing suffering and death.
It shouldn’t be…use protection! While AIDS is not primary an STD around the world, in the US, it was primary an STD. After treatment was found for HIV, people became less careful about their protection and partners.
Yes, please give info on people. Names are not always familiar, esp after over 30 yrs.
