i think you should do a proper installation tutorial or how to use guide for people who can't use blender at all. I just bought it but i would apperciate to have an installation how to use guide.
awesome! im very happy but i have a problem when make an animation render in evee. the light trails look white (desaturated) and the color only appears in the end of animation. its weird, in a still frame render looks awesome but i a secuence the light go away :( what could be?
Hi! Are you rendering transparent png files? if so, png files doesn't support emissive and high dynamic range color. It is recommended to use Exr format when using semi-transparent emissive objects. Thanks!
Yes, Cycles is limiting transparent light bounces. You need to increase it. Check the documentation: blendermarket.com/products/light-trails-generator/docs
@@Specoolar Hey I ran into another issue. Not with the light streaks itself but more with the curve. So I added one of the light streaks with a 3 point curve. The outer control points' radiuses are bigger and the middle one is smaller. But when I scale down the middle one, the light streaks become edgy and not smooth. I tried swiching the Active Spline under the curve properties settings but it didn't help sadly :(
@@Specoolar Man you are always so quick with your help. Thanks a lot! Increasing the resolution helped a bit with the rest of the curve, but the middle curve point ist still edgy. Can I send you some screenshots? I think I can't explain it that well
@@Specoolar Open the project and leave the creation of the asset browser to be at the point of pulling new projects, it would be good for you to review the use of Blender's asset browser. Thanks!
@@Specoolar Near, I mean regular curves. The loop I mean is when the timeline reaches its end and loops back to its starting point, then Light Trails should be seamless looping. I'm not sure if this is possible as I am very new to Geometry nodes.
This does not work for an imported alembic animated curve. When assigning light trails, everything disappears. If you remove the alembic modifier (MeshSequenceCache), it starts working, but of course without animation. How to solve this problem? I'm importing animated curves from another program and really need to use them with animation.
Hi! Maybe, the animation is exported as a mesh lines, not curves. Try this: -Add a new geometry nodes modifier after MeshSequenceCache modifier, before LightTrails modifier, -In the node tree add Mesh To Curve node. Hope this helps
Really dig this. One thing I ran into: It would be awesome if you copy the instructions to the documentation tab on Blendermarket as well. I was just starring at the documentation page, thinking that I remember seeing more instructions. ;)
@iSatu Hi! Can you tell me more details about the problem? Are there the objects visible in viewport mode? Or completely empty scene? Also, try playing animation, as they are not visible in the first frame
@@Specoolar Everything seems to be there when unmasking the layers but the curves that are supposed to be the light trails are invisible. When hiding the node modifier the shape of the curves become visible but disappear when the modifier is on. I let the animation run when trying to understand so thats not it. boa tarde pessoal eu acabei de comprar o light-trails-generator e não vejo como instalar e nem como adicionar ele em um projeto alguém ai pode me ajudar com isso?

How do you get these working in Cycles? The light trails have black spots in cycles. I assume a problem with the alpha?
Yes, Cycles is limiting transparent light bounces. You need to increase it.

Can this light streaks emit light to other objects in the scene?
Only in Cycles

could i export light trails to Unreal Engine?
You can export the generated mesh, but you need to recreate the shader in UE
Is there a way to make it loop?
Yes, There is Loop Time property
They show up as black in cycles... what have I done wrong? works in eevee
Increase Transparent light bounce count under Light Paths tab in render settings
Awesome🙂Thanks for the super quick reply! Worked@@Specoolar
