Measurements are shown at 5:30; "panels" = width of the fabric, which for her was 150cm (60") Adding all of it together is 10.195 meters of 150cm width tulle (11.15 yards of 60" width)
Hi! Thanks for the tutoria!! One question, what waist size aprox is the quantity of tulle layers you used? If I needed to make a bigger one I would need more panels right? Thank you!!
Hi, happy that you like the video! :) that's a really good question, which I'm not sure I know the answer to. For reference my waist is approximately 62-64 cm and I had 2 meters of tulle for the top layer. I mostly thought about how long the outer circumference of the tutu would be such that it wouldn't be lack of tulle that would make the tutu drop. I'm not sure Travis comments on the number of panels in his videos, but you could check them out. I left a link for his video in the description box :)
Hi beautiful tutu and great tutorial! I'm going to sew also one for me :) I wanted to ask - when you were talking about panels I understand that you have sew 12 of them and on the chart there is description of 11 parts?
I added a top layer in a softer tulle, with the same amount of panels as the top stiff tulle layer, so the description for the longest layer is the same for the softer layer. Hope you have fun making your own tutu! 🤩
Thank you. The panty party isn't that clear to me. Somehow I can't wrap my head around it. I am going to make it for my granddaughter who is 6 so will adjust the pattern. Thank you so much
@@netew I ended up buying a pattern for a boxer short for little girls and I sewed the layers around it. it worked out ok but I found the process quite challenging and I only used 6 layers. I just can't imagine trying to do more! it turned out fine for a little girl. I hope it fits her and I hope she likes it! I made the boxers out of elastain and so used shirring elastic to sew the layers on so that they would have some stretch as well. I wanted to have it so that she could just pull it on like a pair of undies, if you know what I mean. it is her 6th birthday tomorrow, will know by then!!
I just sewed a long tutu for a cosplay and my cat needed to be put in her crate. lol. I gave her some scraps to play with. Now she’s happy.
cute! did you know a "long" tutu is actually called a romantic tutu?
@@logger1176 I never knew that! Thank you.
melhor vídeo. Muito bem explicado, parabéns
Beautiful 😍 using this for my functional apparel assignment
Parabéns ficou lindo
Hello, how many meters of tulle did you need overall ?

Adding all of it together is 10.195 meters of 150cm width tulle (11.15 yards of 60" width)

Están al principio, las medidas
@@maria-rr6zq mi pregunta fu la medida de cintura para la que hizo el tutu, no las medidas de las telas
hello, did you sew two layers of net together and then gather them up? As in a 4 in and 5 inch together?
HIIII how do you close up the back of the tutu and connect the tulle layers ?
Bellísimo
What fabric do you use? Lycra?
Se lo are a mi hija gracias 👍🏼👍🏼💗
Thank you so much for the tutorial! But how much tulle did you end up using?
So glad you like the video! I ended up using 11 meters of stiff tulle and 2 meters of soft tulle. The soft tulle is for the top layer alone
@@netew thank you so much!
hello, i just wanted to ask: how did you rufled the layers? is there any "easy" way to do it?
thank you
Not really, that’s why handmade classical tutus (which you should always buy handmade bc mass produced tutus sag), are so expensive.
What type of material should be used to make the panties onto which the tulle is sewn? Thank you.
What are the materials and we’re did you get them
❤❤❤❤ belíssimo
Thank you!!
Hola . Cuanto metros de tul usaste en total ?

@@netew Thank you for answering! I've made my first tutu and im so happy about that! All because of your tutorial :) Great job once more!
@@karolinaopata4801 so happy to hear that! 😀
Buenísimo tu video podrás poner subtítulos en español please
I'm so sorry, but I don't speak spanish... hope viewing the video will still help you make your own tutu :)
Me gustó más que los que son de plato
Are you using the soft tulle?
I only used soft tulle for the top layer to make it softer to touch
Thank you. The panty party isn't that clear to me. Somehow I can't wrap my head around it. I am going to make it for my granddaughter who is 6 so will adjust the pattern. Thank you so much
Hi Gillian, how nice of you to make a tutu for your granddaughter :) Is there a specific part of the sewing process of the panty that's confusing?
