    I just sewed a long tutu for a cosplay and my cat needed to be put in her crate. lol. I gave her some scraps to play with. Now she’s happy.

    Hello, how many meters of tulle did you need overall ?

    • @xmikywayx
      @xmikywayx 2 месяца назад +2

      Measurements are shown at 5:30;
      "panels" = width of the fabric, which for her was 150cm (60")
      Adding all of it together is 10.195 meters of 150cm width tulle (11.15 yards of 60" width)

    Hi! Thanks for the tutoria!! One question, what waist size aprox is the quantity of tulle layers you used? If I needed to make a bigger one I would need more panels right? Thank you!!

      Hi, happy that you like the video! :) that's a really good question, which I'm not sure I know the answer to. For reference my waist is approximately 62-64 cm and I had 2 meters of tulle for the top layer. I mostly thought about how long the outer circumference of the tutu would be such that it wouldn't be lack of tulle that would make the tutu drop.
      I'm not sure Travis comments on the number of panels in his videos, but you could check them out. I left a link for his video in the description box :)

      Not really, that’s why handmade classical tutus (which you should always buy handmade bc mass produced tutus sag), are so expensive.

    Hi beautiful tutu and great tutorial! I'm going to sew also one for me :) I wanted to ask - when you were talking about panels I understand that you have sew 12 of them and on the chart there is description of 11 parts?

    • @netew
      @netew  Год назад +1

      I added a top layer in a softer tulle, with the same amount of panels as the top stiff tulle layer, so the description for the longest layer is the same for the softer layer. Hope you have fun making your own tutu! 🤩

      Hi Gillian, how nice of you to make a tutu for your granddaughter :) Is there a specific part of the sewing process of the panty that's confusing?

    • @gillianbennett4518
      @gillianbennett4518 2 года назад +1

      @@netew I ended up buying a pattern for a boxer short for little girls and I sewed the layers around it. it worked out ok but I found the process quite challenging and I only used 6 layers. I just can't imagine trying to do more! it turned out fine for a little girl. I hope it fits her and I hope she likes it! I made the boxers out of elastain and so used shirring elastic to sew the layers on so that they would have some stretch as well. I wanted to have it so that she could just pull it on like a pair of undies, if you know what I mean. it is her 6th birthday tomorrow, will know by then!!
