I wonder if I’ll ever love and respect India. My great great grandparents were born there and left due to the way Muslims were treated and the conditions of India. My next 3 generations were born and raised in Tanzania until the government nationalized and took ownership of all my family’s properties and businesses. Canada then opened the door to 30 000 Ismaili Muslims and we have been very happy here. Canada is a country of inclusivity, respect, and kindness. It aligns very well with our own cultural values. But no matter what there is a part of me that must be attached to India as it’s where my roots come from. I have never once been but maybe one day I will go 🤷♂️
Can you explain how muslims got treated in India back then? You know how Hindus are getting treated till date? British after Mughals it's all been agony for the majority.
