Warwick/framus does the “invisible fret technology” which is the same idea as a blind fret slot. It’s such a nice feature for comfort, I wish all my guitars and basses had that
my corvettes are my main gigging basses, they’re exceptional. I have a fretless bubinga standard, a $$5 with the bolt on ovangkol neck and a $$nt5 with the maple neck. They’re comfortable, sound great and stay in tune. The $$s are as tonally versatile as anything else out there
You're completely right!! Calling something ''custom'' without having complete control is somewhat funny. The Dunlop system makes a lot more sense indeed. I always thought i'd hate having the strap button in the back of the upper horn, but ever since i got my Custom Lacello, it completely changed my mind.
@@dougversion2.0 I think on a K series for an upcharge yeah that would be appropriate. Same thing on the top, I think customers should get a bit more control of what specific top they get at $4, 000+ price point.
more options is always the answer. its what made Conklin so notable back in the day. offering more options, more novel ideas like melted tops, multiscale (at the time) etc. if they want to shine through and break out of typical Carvin expectations, they need to step up their game a bit.
Kiesel needs to just take a little bit more time on their qc. They’re so focused on churning out a ton of custom instruments that they almost lose the custom attention to detail
It used to be better but then the demand has gone up but they haven't necessarily got more employees I think, or not proportionally to the demand. It happens in any company tho.
I'd like to see them explore more vintage/classic body types, like ES, JazzMaster, Mustang, SG, etc, and the pickups that go with those. I get their audience is into the more modern stuff, so this probably won't happen. As it is all they have to cater to the classics are the Delos and Solo.
@@TopShelfGear Yeah, I actually just got a Vola JZ which is their modern take on the Jazzmaster. Great guitar for about a grand. I do have an Aries A2 neck-thru in the oven - went crazy on options with the Black Friday sale. More trem options would be nice as well, like the Vega Trem which is only currently available on their Greg Howe model.
My personal requests would be 6130 sized fret wire and more models with a 24.75” scale length. I know my preferred scale of 24” is not popular enough to warrant adding to the menu, so I’m not even asking for that. Just more 24.75” scale options. I would love a 24.75” scale Type X. With black crackle over tropic and white!
Yeah I can understand that for sure. Agreed, don't think it would make sense for the programming cost to sell probably not many og them. The list in this video I think would appeal to more of a broad range and not be as individualized if that sorta makes sense.
My Vader 7 has the thin profile and it feels almost exactly like a Schecter ultra thin C - doesn't get in your way at all but not thin enough to tire my hand out. No complaints here but it would definitely sell like hotcakes if they introduced more profiles
Yep, I always order the thin profile. Its comfy, don't get me wrong but its still very round feeling. Would love a thin flat shape option from Kiesel. Really would be a game changer.
I wonder if the carbon rods they use are larger than other companies hence why it wouldnt be possible to do a thinner neck. I know jeff talks about the rods he uses being the best you can buy so maybe they are larger. But i agree that they would sell a ton if they could make it happen
Yeah I wonder if that's what it is. I guess larger rods, stronger reinforcement but needs more overall depth from the neck to be in their tolerance. Yeah wish they had this option to go thinner, would be perfect.
I'm 99% sure I saw on a recent livestream that you can option 50 a "super thin" neck profile, but I don't see why that can't be a more standard offering.
@@dougversion2.0 I know once Jeff saif on the Holdsworth model you can get a "double thin" neck, but I think that's only because that guitar already has a thicker neck by default. Hope that eventually opens up to more models though.
This is becoming one of my favorite guitar channels...Up there with Agufish,Kdh etc.👍🤙
Appreciate it bro! Yes lots more videos to come 😀
I emailed them like last month, you can pay $100 extra to pick your Top Wood, but it only available for 7A grade and Master Grade wood.
That's good to hear I've seen people ask in the live streams and always heard they don't offer customers to pick tops outside the PYT sessions.
Great video
Glad you liked it!
They need an ergonomic body like the strandberg or Abasi Emi.
I think so too!

I used to have a German made Warwick corvette bass. 3p Ovankol neck, felt amazing. Craftsmanship was great 👍

I Love the look of the Devin Townsend Framus "Storm Bender" guitar... Never had the luxury to play one.
@@RandyLeonard-t1x framus makes some super nice guitars but like their sister brand Warwick, they just don’t have a huge presence in the US
Not offering neck binding is a big gripe of mine, my type x would have been perfect with binding
I totally get that, would've been a nice touch. Would be alot work I'd imagine especially with all the possible configurations.
Offering neck binding for an upcharge and longer build time seems doable. Wood binding options for necks on K-Series would be a game-changing upgrade.

The neck on a Mayones Duvell Elite is the thickest neck imaginable.
Regius has the thin neck.
Hmmmm which version of the Regius has the thinnest? What about forearm contour? I know they have changed over the years
@@TopShelfGear The Duvell has the forearm contour, the Regius does not.

the main reason I have not ordered a Keisel is because I require a Prestige HP like neck if I'm going to spend $3000 on a guitar...
@@Feverdream7777 yep, I get it. Not even close to that level of thin. Always felt like that's been missing as an option.
