I do a bit of fanart in my spare time, and I like to draw Dragons Rising era Kai with a 5 o’clock shadow because I imagine the OG ninja are in their mid to late 20s during that time. But most of the ages in this video were actually spot on for my headcanon as well!
in my own personal opinion the ninja start off the pilots being 15-16 (cole just turning 16). in the end of season 7 i would say they are 18-19. the oni trilogy they are about 20-21 (oni trilogy is happening back to back to back it feels like so they would be the same age throughout the three seasons. NOW here’s the thing in season 9 they say they are teens but my explanation is that elemental masters age slower since they are part dragon (explains the elemental powers). so them saying they are teens would make sense since maybe they still biologically are. then in the 11 they would start off at 21-22 and crystallized there about 22-23 when the original series ends. SO for dragons rising i would say the ages are ranging from 26-27 for the main four ninja. 24 for nya and 24 for lloyd biologically but in 21 for real (aged up 4 years in season 2). but they all still look pretty young since they do age slower due to them having some dragon blood except for lloyd who has dragon and oni (or just oni idk)
Realistically, I did the math and figured out that between the pilots and the beginning of the Oni trilogy about 4 years passed by. And between the ending of the Oni Trilogy and the beginning of Crystalized, about 3 years passed by.
And between the ending of Crystallized and the Merge, it’s probably been a few months, since the monastery seems to be mostly back in order, and Wu would’ve had reasons to research about the Merge, so there would’ve been signs and foreshocks (similar to major IRL earthquakes), which weren’t present in Crystallized.
And the first seasons of Dragons Rising are taking place no earlier than 5 years following the Merge, since Arin and Sora were little kids when the Merge happened, and now they’re in their mid-teens.
So this is a big misconception, fans think Zane was trapped for 60 years in the neverealm, but actually asphera sent Zane 60 years back, meaning Zane would still be the same age and meaning Zane from the neverealm has spend longer as the ice king than being Zane or a ninja himself.

Yes, but also most of the time Ninjago's timeline and characters ages don't make sense. If they were still teenagers in season 9 then they would be pretty young at the start of the show (because at least here in America, you become an adult when you turn 18 and that was what I was going off of).
