Season 5 was personally my favourite. The plot, the soundtrack, the characters, it was just amazing. Season 4 and 6 too, but s6 didn't have a well-written end. They just kinda threw some wishes and confusing pasts and called it an ending.
@@trapjack46 Do it! I got back into it now (on season 13 right now) and the show is pretty good for something that I originally thought was just a lego show for kids. It has many dark scenes and moments which sometimes get me to wonder "why did lego allow this for a kids show". In addition, it is one of the few Cartoon Network shows with actual death of main characters in it. Also, the soundtrack is very beautiful and memorable and there are some great fight scenes. When I originally wrote this comment 2 months ago, I never imagined I would like ninjago so much, but now that I watched 13 seasons of it, I can say that it is one of my favorite cartoon network shows. The only downside of the show is the that the first 2 seasons have pretty medicore animation and fights, but this problem is fixed by the fact that the fights improve more and more each season.
I mean... Everyone knows season 4 is the best in every way, a perfect mix of plot, humor, characters, nostalgia, and set up for the next season, while also tying into previous seasons and not being afraid to literally kill characters.

I was always the biggest fan of Hands of Time. To me, it felt like Ninjago finally decided to explore its lore in more depth than before in terms of elemental masters. Along with that, it solidifies how strong time really is in Ninjago
I remember when season one was airing me and my brother thought Cole was gonna be the green ninja because we thought it was weird he never got a color change in the first episode and green seems more “earthy” than black
This is the kind of logic I used as a kid. I also remember thinking Cole was the green ninja at one point. This was because when all the 3 other ninja were fighting about the prophecy he interrupted them.
@@avatoraaengthelostairbende6682 Me too, I always thought that Zane has something special, something unique and different from the other ninjas. And even when I was a kid I was pretty sure that kai becoming the green ninja was too obvious to be true.
I watched that show growing up, and until today, I legit thought it had ended after the final battle in season 2... I have some catching up to do boys!
Season 5/Possession was prob the most peak, It actually had some good meaning to it as seing nya reach her full potential with water, morro and wu flashbacks of there history, the ninja and the others learning about the 3 new ninjistu techniques of the creator & meeting ronin, along without using there powers for a whole season until near the end which actually made them feel like ninja, this starts Cole's journey about losing his body and becoming a ghost and has to get used to it, and Lloyd playing a massive role here having his body possed by a evil spirit.
Who wants to tell this man Dareth, I hope that's how you spell his name, don't judge, only started appearing in Legacy of the Green Ninja? Also I liked Lloyd as the green ninja, solid twist that mean we don't miss out on the other ninja being the ninja they were supposed to be, there was a lot of evidence for it that I had never considered before, since it was revealed that the ninja inherited their powers from their elders it makes sense that the Green Ninja would be related to the first spinjitzu master, and Father VS Son is more interesting than anything else they would've gone with so yeah.
Also what did you think of Lloyd being the green ninja considering that the final battle was great?and it was a great plot?also what did you think of Lloyd in s8
I remember watching this show as a kid. Brings back a lot of memories. For some reason I lost interest after the character redesign and Lloyd's new voice actor but I'm starting to get back into it all these years later. Feels weird they brought evil Garmadon back again after his whole redemption and sacrifice in seasons 5 & 6. Hopefully I can get past that. The animation has definitely improved considerably since season 7.
@@marcusjnorger3089 talking about thousands of people being killed is not funny, but this is dark humor so deal with it just like they dealt with 9/11
1:19 as someone who quit watching ninjago at season 8 ( im trying to get back into it cuz i heard season 15 was great), that was the only dialogue i remembered for 10 years, and thats why jay is my favorite character
8:19 yes. The events of Skybound still happened but like how Hulk explained time travel, going back to the past made their future their new past. Nya and jay remember Skybound so yeah it happened and Jay mentioned he was abandoned by his parents in prime empire
I forgot who said it but it was mentioned that Nadakan can't make up lies and which is why he reveals the truth. That's why he showed Kai his father and made it possible for Jay to find out he was adopted.
Don’t listen to that MCU stuff, it’s terrible you can’t change the past Plus when you introduce the multi-verse that and time work on pretty much a similar level.
@@DgardsGaming Just my opinion but i agree on MCU's Timeline stuff instead changing the past would change the present it would instead creating a branch/alternate timeline/reality my opinion...
A lot of people actually miss this. Clutch Powers was acutally already introduced in S01. He was the man who found the third fangblade. The one they made into that trophy for the dance competition. We just never until 7 years after.
Possession was a f*cking masterpiece, the suits were amazing, they actually looked like ninjas! It was a fantastic season. Also hands of time was one of my favourite because Kai was finally the main character again
My random long commentary: - Lloyd was annoying but the right Green Ninja. Things would’ve immediately fallen apart if it was Kai. Kai also would’ve been put on a pedestal at times by Jay, Cole, and Zane, and the guy himself would’ve gotten supercilious. - Season 2 was okay. I loved the orphanage and Child’s Play episodes, but in the grand scheme of things, it just seemed like your typical son vs father, good vs bad. - The love triangle was amusing! Jay/Nya is obviously endgame, but the little Cole and Jay drama was fun to watch and a little lighthearted compared to the devastating season finale with Zane. Rest of season 3 was meh. - SEASON 4, WOOO! Don’t even disagree, it’s top tier. Skylor and Kai is officially a thing. - I love love love Season 6. I actually found it one of the darker seasons? Poor Jay though :( he really went through a lot with this one at the price of a little mental stability. I think the ending actually wrapped it up with a nice bow. Also not Kai wishing for fangirls- - Season 7, I thought it was just me! Kai is my favorite so credit is due there, but I never seem to remember this one :\ I did like it more than Possession, but not as much as Rebooted - Not Lloyd’s broken heart in Sons of Garmadon :< Played the viewer and the ninja, I NEVER suspected Rumi. I grew up with Ninjago and actually didn’t get to watch after Season 8! Got some catching up to do OwO Let me know what y’all think :)
I started watching ninjago in around 2014 when I was 12 I think and I remember the last thing I watched was that tournament season which other than that orange girl that kai liked I remember nothing and now I find out there are 15 seasons like fucking hell....they really went hard with the seasons didn't they. I had just assumed the series finished in like 2017 or something.
My thoughts on the pilot and seasons released so far from what I can remember: Pilots: Short and sweet with a good story and ending - the ninja don't really win but instead things solve themselves (sort of). The skulkin and Samukai were pretty good first villains for the ninja as well, and I liked the fact that besides Kai, all the ninja had hairpieces that most kids would find in their LEGO bin. Made them feel more like ordinary citizens that got pulled into this crazy adventure. Season 1: Great season, I love the variety of the serpentine and the new lore being added. Having episodes focusing on each of the ninja was great and the season had a lot of good twists in it. Pythor is a great villain and once again the final fight is not solved by the young ninja, but instead Garmadon. Season 2: A bit of a formulaic first half but we got Dareth and some good episodes. The stone warriors would start the trend of having the enemy army all look the same, but I still liked them. Overlord is a simple but good villain and the climax was really good. Season 3: Short but also the season that started the trend of focusing one season on one of the ninja. Didn't care too much for the love triangle but I did love seeing Sensei Garmadon, having him and Lloyd spend time together was sweet. Season 4: 10/10 season, love the new lore and world building, love Chen and Clouse, love the focus on Garmadon and his past as well as the island. Having more elemental masters was the perfect idea and made it into a (IMO) perfect season. Not to mention a anacondrai cult, that was really something else. Season 5: Really good season, focusing on Wu and Morro whom I enjoyed a lot - a dark reflection of what Kai could have become. Kinda wished they had touched on that a bit more, but this spooky season was really great and the introduction of other forms of "jitzu" was cool. We also got Ronin in this season, which was a good addition to the cast. Season 6: While I think the ending took away a lot of what the season did I still liked it, Nadakhan is an interesting villain and getting a Jay season was nice. Having sky pirates was definitively not something that I expected. Season 7: Both Acronix and Krux were interesting villains but having the serpentine back again was... Eh? A bit forgettable though I did like seeing Ray and Maya back again. The ending battle was epic as well and I'm still wondering if we will see the time twins again or not. Season 8: 10/10 season - Great animation, story and characters introduced, as well as the addition of more lore. The Oni masks were great and the sons of Garmadon was interesting to see. The new lore was something I liked, as well as the idea of an evil Garmadon being brought back. Not to mention sweet baby Wu haha. Season 9: Just as great, if not better, than the previous season. Spending a season in a different realm with different people and dragons felt like a breath of fresh air and it set up the next part well. Nice seeing Wu being trained by the OG ninja as well. Season 10: March of the Oni could have been great, but it was far too short for my liking. If it had been longer it could have been great. The Oni were scary but needed more time. Seeing Lloyd and Garmadon together was nice. Season 11: Clutch was kind of odd, seeing him back made me hyped but it seems that they more or less just took his name and likeness for the character. The story was not too shabby, nice seeing young Wu and Garmadon. Ice chapter was cool, though kinda weird how Nya can suddenly control ice, what does that mean for Zane? Season 12: While it reminded me a bit of season 3 it was still good and a pretty funny videogame season overall. The villain was interesting and it was nice seeing Jay in his element - though most of the ninja like videogames. Season 13: Finally, a Cole season! Great overall, loved Shintaro and that Cole got a season to shine and develop as well. Season 14: Having Ronin be a villain does in a way fit his character as that is what he does most of the time, but it does still feel a bit unexpected. Season 15: The serpentine are back again for the 4th time, but this time they're underwater! Woo! All jokes aside I liked the season a lot, glad to see Nya getting a season and Kalmaar was a good villain with a great voice actor - could have used some scenes showing why he hates land dwellers though. The new lore concering the FSM was interesting as well, and the ending was emotional to say the least.
To be honest I actually stopped watching ninjago after season 8 I dont like the different textures and it looks different, I refuse to believe that season 8 exist
Season 8 is a 10/10 season it is beautifully made, not even Ultra Violet can ruin this season. My other complaint would probably be the ninja using their elemental powers sparingly but I guess that does mean more hand to hand combat, for example what we saw in the Zane and Mr. E battle, it will forever be my favourite Ninjago battle. It was just packed with action and that mortal kombat shit was epic. Zane legit could've subjected him to serious pain but obviously he didn't annhiliate Mr. E when he had the chance, considering he is a benevolent character in the series. Plus the ending of Season 8 was a great buildup for Season 9 and Garmadon returning as a maleficent oni with stronger powers was refreshing to see. Oh and Harumi was great, she tricked all of us into thinking she was angelic and had no evil intentions, not to mention she inflicted serious emotional pain on Lloyd. The animation in the season was most pleasing and impressive throughout, not to mention the season was arguably the darkest season of Ninjago. tl;dr: Zane is awesome, Season 8 is awesome, Mr. E is awesome, Ultra Violet fucking sucks, the ninja are awesome, especially Lloyd, Harumi was awesome, the ending was a great buildup for Season 9, Garmadon returning was awesome and baby Wu was also great, Harumi's level of vindictive is unfathomable

Personally I really do love Lloyd just cuz he was SO ANNOYING yet he becomes so cool and I love to see that development through season 1 and 2- although I think his character went downhill in the future seasons like 5,6 and 7
yeah, me as well, Iliked Lloyd basically because he was annoying little child that never was that big deal, until he was a big deal. He really was very annoying trying to be evil. But always failing to be evil. That's why I loved him. And his failed evil laugh..
I mean Lloyd is allways trying to steal the spot light from other characters during season 11. it was supposed to be a Kai and Zane season but Lloyd gets it instead.
Generic may hate lloyd, but I don't. I love lloyd, yeah he was annoying as a kid, but he really grows and develops as a character, and he's a great leader to the team.
My favourite line from the pilot season is also from Jay: “Let’s chop socky this lemonade stand!” Either that or Wu’s sudden change of accent when Garmadon escapes through a vortex.
Ninjago is one of my favorite shows ever. I started watching when I was around 8 which was when s4 had started airing. I remember getting in trouble by my mom for watching Ninjago because I was a girl and my mom said it was a boys show. I never listened to her and went to the library with my older sister to rent the DVDs.
It’s a good season if you like twist and turns that’s perfect because they shut off the power, the overlord comes back, they killed the overlord in the digi verse the overlord comes backs, the overlord crashed a ship in a body of water, the over lord comes back, the ninja went to space and Zane sacrifice. So if you hate this is season you hate the whole series
Remember when the First Season of Ninjago was the Most Iconic in the Golden Years until the defeat of Lord Garmadon before the Entire Ninjago City became the future technological City? We all grew up on those older seasons. *Nostalgia hits hard.*
Skybound was cool. Illoved that Jay got the spotlight, however some things felt inconsistent or just stupid in terms of the characters actions. Like the whole "Oh the only way a Jhin can trap you in its blade is by making you wish it all away or he can just do the easy thing and hit with it."
That part was pretty odd but tbf I'm gonna assume that nadakhan wasn't fully explained it and just got used to the way he did it with his lamp, while Soto knew because he had further research or something, I'm not sure. It's an inconsistency that doesn't hurt the season much because the wishing sequences are some of the best parts, seeing how nadakhan is able to twist and re-interpret their wishes in a manipulative way
I remember the days of watching Ninjago in the first season in the golden years when it was popular, it’s hard to believe it’s already been years ago, but overtime, I haven’t been able to fully watch season 3 until I never watched Ninjago again until now. I’m planning to go dig up the past and watch every single season of Ninjago until to the most recent. I feel so unbelievably old now.
Even before the reveal that Lloyd was the green ninja I already had a suspicion it would be him. I had a feeling they’d go for a Luke/Vader kinda relationship between Lloyd and Garmadon which is pretty much what happened
You said the ending of season 6 was bad because it was too short and “lazy”, well I think it was perfect because Jay had waited to say his last wish for a very long time and that last wish was basically a perfect way to end this season. It was a pretty unique ending too. That ending is connected with Jay’s character, he waited for a very long time for something “big” to happen. I don’t know if that made sense...
Lloyd loses a of his power then is hated to the point of being disowned and put in a orphanage then dareth becomes almighty with the golden power and brown power so he joins the ninja as their new leader and then they go to the orphanage and rob it and then it turns out lloyd was bad again so dareth gives him a tiny little tap and lloyd became dead. Dareth then found pythor and garmadon and killed them to get drugs. This is only like episode 1 and 2 More coming on the discord if I feel like it
I mean I guess people would rather Ninjago to be crushed, nadakhan to win,Nya and Lloyd to die,for the Ninja to be depressed, for the ninja to probably die because they would fall very high from the sky,and the ninja to never forgive Jay for making the wrong wish than for Skybound to end the way it did.
@@sushineb1371 I wasn’t furious at all I was just saying that sure reversing time was a bit lazy but imagine if Jay didn’t make that wish,Ninjago would be doomed honestly.

My personal opinion: Best: Season 4 Worst: Season 11 I think that Day of the Departed is underrrated. And I didn't know you owned Animal Crossing, have you played it much?
Yeah I like the day of the departed because it's a good set up for season 7 and it explains why Cole isn't a ghost anymore in season 7 and saves more time to develop the season instead of just putting Cole's transformation into a human again into season 7
S4 had the best intro and it also introduced more elemental masters (who are then forgotten for like 4 seasons after that) which made the series way more interesting to me. At first I didn't like the idea of everyone having a dragon but now I love it. The titanium dragon is one of my fave sets ever.
Clearly season 2 when Lloyd became the golden ninja was the BEST and season 11 would be in great it had tons of action good story and a full reason + amazing ending not to mention it had a different good vibe

I liked season three, but only because Zane was my favourite character. But I was seriously disappointed due to the fact that it focused on everything else (ie, the love triangle, Lloyd's existential crisis) more than him.
I thought the elemental masters were only ninja, but season 4 gave me that that’s not true. Season 10 has a nice intro that showed all the previous seasons.
Like it's why you see them embrace in the final scene, in the original version of that seen they're mad at each other. They both realized that they remembered what happened
personally speaking: Rebooted is one of my favorite seasons cause i really liked the whole tech theme, and it introduced Pixal, who's one of the best characters in the show, especially in later seasons. and as for season 11. I wasn't a big fan of the fire segment, but I did like the ice part. mainly cause it got so dark for a lego show that it was almost funny.

“I’m sure he’ll come now and He’ll teach me a valuable lesson, I’ll wait, I love lessons” “Ok I’m bored but here’s a lesson for you, DoN’t Be A sOrE LOSEr”
Why do i feel like kai not being the green ninja was a good decision. Like if he was the green ninja he wouldn't only have the element of fire. So the elements wouldn't go fire, ice, lightning and earth. It would've went fire/green/gold, ice, lightning, earth
Season 13 is by far one of my fav seasons because we finally explored Coles character and his super op element which is a STARK contrast to his he was in earlier seasons because for a lot of the series he was just strong but we got to see more of Cole and I really love that
March of the Oni is the laziest thing ever. They even brought back the Golden Weapons, but they look like downgrades of the originals and demonstrates how modern Ninjago likes to completely ignores it's old continuity and rules.
I love Ninjago, it's one of my favorite shows of all time, and I love pretty much every season of it. The one thing about it that I don't like is some of the main characters. Cole is so insanely boring that the show tried to make him less boring many times and failed every time. Kai is impulsive and can be an asshole at times and it's kinda annoying. Also, I don't like how the show focuses so much on Lloyd. Sure, he's the green ninja, but everyone else on the team is there too. I feel like him being focused on as the main character pushes everyone else away. Nya's cool, but Zane and Jay are definitely my favorite ninja out of all of them.

No you spelt his name right

My random long commentary:
- Lloyd was annoying but the right Green Ninja.
Also not Kai wishing for fangirls-
- Season 7, I thought it was just me! Kai is my favorite so credit is due there, but I never seem to remember this one :\ I did like it more than Possession, but not as much as Rebooted
- Not Lloyd’s broken heart in Sons of Garmadon :< Played the viewer and the ninja, I NEVER suspected Rumi.

@@shoobzy3431 I thought the series ended with season 9 because that’s all that’s available on Amazon
You really shouldn't watch the new episodes.
I think they're awful
I love that everybody just forgot about the tornado of creation. It was just NEVER used again
My thoughts on the pilot and seasons released so far from what I can remember:
Pilots: Short and sweet with a good story and ending - the ninja don't really win but instead things solve themselves (sort of).

Am i really the only one who liked grown up lloyd ? X) Sure he was so annoying when he was a child and i didn’t like him at first but then he beneficied a really good character development and i started to really like him
Pff I loved Lloyd as a child
I felt like these characters were my friends as a kid, so when Zane blew up I cried lol
8:56 saddest news of all time
Generic:*goes on a rant for darreth in the season one part*
Darreth:*first apeerance is season two*
Not only did Dareth show up more in Hunted, but he got powers aswell
Such a memorable moment
In my honest opinion, Rise of the snakes is one of the best and I feel like it’s the best. In my opinion but it gives a lot of things for the viewer to watch and honestly every season has its best moments
Agreed
"He's just evil because he held a grudge"
Doesn't every evil person hold a grudge
I love Season 4.
9:16 - well, here’s Dareth alive and dancing
2:57 I love deareth so much I'm going to repeat it multiple times. Deareth is our god 😳 he has big d energy 😩
You mean lloyd is the best
“I’m sure he’ll come now and He’ll teach me a valuable lesson, I’ll wait, I love lessons”
“Ok I’m bored but here’s a lesson for you, DoN’t Be A sOrE LOSEr”
Why do i feel like kai not being the green ninja was a good decision. Like if he was the green ninja he wouldn't only have the element of fire. So the elements wouldn't go fire, ice, lightning and earth. It would've went fire/green/gold, ice, lightning, earth
9:33 - brooo i literally forgot this season existed as well
Agreed
One thing I dont like about ninjago is how underrated bolobo is he is the literal master of nature its self ,just to be a season 4 through away

Man, Zane and Jay are my favorites ninjas too ! Though I like Cole redesign.
Well... Cole is not boring in my opinion he's jay best friend i really like his character + kai was the most honest and one of (putting my friends upon of what i want) the most that's what i like about him
In my opinion
@@roaahilal2594 agree
Tf you saying
Dareth is a huge part of season 4 actually so the Dareth religion continues
