What about characters like Merida and Jasmine? These characters would NEVER put up with some creepy guy with a pretty smile. Jasmine and Tiana would tell them off and Merida just might offer to let them get a better understanding of her skill with a bow. Belle nearly made Gaston fall outside on his face because he was too pushy and persistent. So, with creeps, either you break character or break the no smiling rule.
My cousin plays Cinderella, whenever I go to see her at Disney she always acts like I'm just a regular guest who wants autos and selfies. And of course I was confused as to why she "didn't" remember me so i decided to do some research and I found this. Thanks for the information,it really helped me out :)
Reasons I couldn't be a princess 1. Way too shy 2. Can't sing well 3.cant stand anything hotter than 23degrees 4.don't like wearing dresses 5.i don't like smiling for a while
My Spanish teacher used to work at Disney and she got payed less than she does now as a teacher. the work conditions were hard and even when it was hot she had to wear the horrible costumes for hours
Stixnet Gaming I think she was 22 when she started there. I'm not sure. But then she was too old so she did the costumes. But I know she went straight to Disney after school. And she went to a Disney college thing.
one of my friends is a disney princess. and i would ask her what princess she was, she was like i cant tell you. and like i would get mad sometimes at why she wouldn't tell me.. but now i understand the difficulties of being a princess. but even tho she quit being a princess and carried her life working as a teacher now, she still wont tell me today. lmfao
I worked their last year(As Alice)It was really fun.Just remember that the makeup has to super perfect.I almost got fired bc i had the eyeshadow darker
I mean, there are several other princesses whose wigs are questionable (I'm looking at you Anna & Cinderella), but Elsa's is so bad. It's like a platinum blonde, plastic, braided mullet 😂
This one time I went to universal studios the Frankenstein smiled at a kid then suddenly scared him. He said, and I quote, "this isn't Disney! We don't have to be nice!" And that was the highlight of my life
I took my little girl to Disneyland for her fifth birthday - it was just sort of a 'mommy and me' trip. A few weeks before our trip, I made reservations at the "Ariels Grotto" for a princess themed lunch with all the princess's... While we dined on all sorts of extremely yummy food - each of the princess's walked around to greet each table, giving hugs, autographs, and happily taking pictures with anyone who wanted... Let me tell you - these princess's were so extraordinary in the way they conducted themselves, they never once broke character, and the way they moved around the room, so graceful, and so elegant, even their hand movements were flawlessly princess like. Even though it was a bit on the pricey side - I believe it was about $40 per child and $50 per adult - it was an experience that I will forever recommend mothers to do with their daughters!!! It was worth every penny - and if you want to do it - definitely make reservations as they are always sold out. While all of the princess's were absolutely stunning - and each played their characters part to the TEE - it was the woman who played Ariel who was probably one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen in my LIFE!
lmao I wish I had this type of childhood I've literally never been to Disney before and I'm 14, the struggles of growing up poor but I'm glad you guys had fun :)
None of these seem strange to me, because it's all about the kids. If a princess breaks character to talk to a friend and a child is nearby, that princess is ruined for them. Disney takes that very seriously. It's all about making the magic real for them.
Yeah, but for $15 an hour? That sounds lower than union (SAG) rates for *extras* which is around $150-$200 a day... Unless they have other perks that sounds, or Disney has a good referral system for retired princesses that sounds like madness. If they can't even tell friends and family which princess they are can they even put it on a resume?? These women are saints if they are putting up with all of this solely for the benefit of children.
Honestly what do people expect? This is an acting job and all of these requirements are typical for acting - stay in character, improv, look your part, learn your lines and your history, deal with hardships without letting people notice... Just because people don't say out loud that it's an acting job, that's what it's categorised as. I've worked as an actress in my local amusement park as a ghost actor, and all of these rules applied to me, during my entire life as an actress these are the kinds of rules you work with. People want to make it sound so hard but that's just what it's like being an actress that's not on screen like a regular movie star.
Dude, being a movie star and a freelance actor is super different. A freelance actor is usually not famous, and unless it's an advertisement job or tv, and if it's an acting job like THIS, which means acting in amusement parks or at other places, the pay is usually 13 dollars per hour.
Exactly what i was thinking! they complain about having to look like the character having similar facial features, height, weight etc when it's only logical! disney wants little kids to think the princesses are real, so if they see a POC snow white for example it wouldn't be really convincing
I totally agree! I've done acting since I was seven, and the older you get the more intense it gets. All directors expect you to come on stage fully prepared with a backstory, character history, character walks, movements, the way they hold their hands and flick a pen, everything. If you aren't an actress, being a princess would be hard. ESPECIALLY the improv part! Improv is so much fun but if you don't know how to do it, it's extremely frustrating. Anyway, it is a hard job, but not much different than normal acting gigs.
Chelsea L. my favourate Peter pan's real name was Trevor and he used to play Pluto too. but he wouldn't have fallen for Wendy as he is as gay as they come😅😄🤗
My cousin who works at DisneyLand as a Princess once asked me to ask her Smart questions, So I asked her why the beast is a beast again (for example) and she said 'Oh, he kept stealing chocolate' Honestly that answer made me laugh. Edit- 1.1k likes?! That's more than I've ever got...
They apparently do show you how to do the basic makeup/recommend what colors would go best, so you don't do it all from scratch. They also don't use as much makeup because they want a fresh-faced look, rather than a heavy, Instagram look.
My nose is kinda crooked so they probally would not hire me :/ the only character they would ever probally hire me for is Merdia from Brave because i have curly red hair and she acts like a tom boy :P
I've auditioned a few times and I cannot wait to audition again! Even though I haven't gotten the job yet, I still stay optimistic. I've met some really awesome people at the auditions, and I've gotten to see them at Disneyland as characters! It's been my dream and ambition to be a princess since I was 5 years old, and I'm never giving up until I make it.
Shelby_Via_ that is awesome!! I have actually been thinking about auditioning, maybe in a year or two but my only concern is my voice.. I've heard that i look like both belle and jasmine depending on how tan i am hahah but I'm worried my voice is too dark, is that a big problem? And is there any serious singing involved in the auditions?
I love your positivity. I want to be as Princess too and I hope I get the part when I'm older. I hope you get the part at the next audition. Good luck and thanks for the pep-talk.
too fat, too tall, don't look like a princess, to stupid can't stand for that long can't say nothing about my job... the conclusion is that i will never be a princess
I just want to go to Disney right now to give all these girls a huge hug, because I never ever realized when I went at 6 or whatever how hard it must have been to be a DIsney princess. I thought the experience was wonderful and magical, and I really thought they were real princesses as a little girl, but now that I learned how painful working as one is, and how little they get paid and recognized for it, is the sad truth. Honestly, being a Disney princess is just as bad as the modeling world. Having the perfect looks, training, isolation.. It doesn't send out the right message to young girls. Disney can be so ruthless.
They have to do their own makeup? That's crazy! I went to Disneyworld this summer and I got to meet Snow White in person, I can't imagine how hard it had to be to do the makeup.
i actully was a disney princess last yesr, it was difficult at first, but if you really are kotivated it would feel like your living 2 lives and everything just becomes natural to you. I ended up quiting, not because i didnt love it, but that there were so many girls wanting to be ny princess, belle.
That requirement of not being allowed to say no is NOT exclusive to characters. Disney forces all employees in the parks to abide by this rule even if the guest is being abusive. That's wrong because the guests then become even more abusive. I've heard on message boards (not all are Disney employees but work at theme parks with the same policy) about employees quitting because of the abuse. They are NOT allowed to do anything and the park management usually won't do anything. Seems like the managers are too worried about making money and nothing else. I wouldn't want to work in a theme park. I've put up with enough abuse in retail to know that abusive jerks get away with a LOT when managers are only concerned about making a buck.
I've worked for Disney and universal and they never once told me that i couldn't say no per say. You simply offer another suggestion and problem solve to take care of your guest :)
The size requirements are because the princesses all have to fit in costumes that are similarly sized. You cant have three Cinderellas that all look different/are different heights and sizes. It's confusing to children. It's not difficult to understand. The signatures all have to look the same because children will notice if they get a different signature from the same princess.
Kids notice things. I used to see that a lot of kids noticed the mascot characters didn't blink and they had to change them... They're pretty observant.
No! The improv, I'd imagine, is apart of the fun. Many of these face characters love Disney and are well versed in acting. All my favorite Disney Character interactions were off scripted moments and I could tell they had just as much fun as I did. They are trained for this. The only one in the video that was probably hard and maybe a bit unexpected was the boy saying he went to Pocahontas' grave with his school. Hahahaha
Tori's Tutorials The characters actually LOVE it when people discuss their movie/ask questions about their movie. Questions like "how's Olaf?" Or "has Prince Charming taken you on any dates lately?" Are AWESOME! If it's a question that's obviously hard you'll know before you ask it 😄
The last number you are is the Disney Princess you are most like: 0: Ariel - You are a happy person and you love to explore new things. 1: Belle - You are kind hearted and very special in your own unique way! You have a few hobbies that are all very different, but you're true hobby is finding _love_ 2: Cinderella - You are loving and delicate, the most remembered fairy tail character. 3: Rapunzel - You are artistic, (even if it means you can't draw), in your own way! 4: Tiana - You are a joy to family and friends, very confident and talented. 5: Snow White - You love animals and you are the sweetest princess of all, the first too! 6: Aurora - You are gentle and beautiful, the defintion of 'Beauty Sleep'. You are the ultimate princess. 7: Merida - You are brave, (it says so in your Movie Title!), and couragous, willing to help anyone. 8: Anna - You are vivid and destined to be crowned 'Nicest Princess Of The Year'! 9: Elsa - You are not a princess, but a Queen who shines bright in her very own spotlight. Hope you enjoy, I certainly enjoyed typing this! Who did you get and who is your favourite princess, be sure to let me know in the comments below! (See what I did there?!) Edit: Thanks for pointing this out Lusina Blackwood. Please check my new edit comment below where I add more princesses! These are the ones that reach the most likes :)
i guess i will get to be one when i grow up because i love being with kids. I love smiling. I can handle getting away from the strange men😐.... I will be responible for my own stuff. I can make sure i make guest happy😄😄😄
imagen your wig getting pulled off or your makeup melting or a kid peeing on you and whoa change plans i rather work at good will not like i will but just saying like..... jk i really wish i can bear but.... i just dont like makeup and wigs... eh ..... but the big problem for me is if i work on Tuesday or Saturday and tge MAKEUP!!!!😢
Let's be real y'all, if the price is right anyone who's a Disney Princess or Prince would marry a total stranger. If they really can't take the deal then they should just tell the person "I'm unfortunately married to the spirt of Disneyland. I could not see any other way to live."
This video is so spot on. -former cast member who had to listen to princesses argue about what size dress they really wore and then had to try and get them inside it
When I go to Disney on my birthday, I'll do one of the following: * get Elsa and Jack Frost (if there is one) to hangout *meet Gaston * ask Belle how Gaston was like in their childhood *ask Pocahontas how she survived a jump in colors of the wind
Jack Frost is from Dreamworks, so you won't find him at any Disney park. And if you get a friend to dress as him, Elsa is not allowed to acknowledge who he is because she could get in big trouble with Disney.
The Look: I am ugly as heck The Audition: I 100% doesn't look like a princess and I am horrible at acting The Training: I AM NOT TRAINING AND REMEMBERING STUFF 100% LIKE I HAVE A HORRIBLE MEMORY The Preparation: I am very impatient and I am horrible at makeup don't like contacts as well The Character: But I don't want to be the character, I love sitting, love crossing my arms and love talking about stuff that are irrelevant XD The Improv: I am horrible at improv BAHAHAHAHA The Strength: I need an hour break ok? Plus I need to see my fam at christmas and literally all holidays The Secret: Let's just say... I am horrible at keeping secrets, I am an opened minded girl c: The Danger: NUH UH I DON'T LIKE PERVS, GETTING HIT AND PICTURES The smile: I hate smiling, so simple Out of all if those paragraphs you already know I AM NOT going to be a Disney Princess for sure lmao
I remember once when I was a kid,I walked up to a Cinderella and asked her "Are you a real Disney Princess?" She replied with "Yes" Then I asked, "Why did you lie to me?"
I did work there as a character for 3 months and never went back. I suffered from neck pains and so was assign a different character. I had an incident when one child would not let go of my hand and he was squeezing it so hard....thank goodness we have greeters to help get out of situations like that. The pay at the time was way lower too...yeah its not worth it for all we do. I was always knocked out exhausted every time I go home. I couldn't believe how there was a few that love that job and want to work over time...I'm like are you nuts😧. And trust me I worked out regularly and still it was hard job not only physically but mentally too.
They should dress security in guards outfits and assign them near the princesses to make sure unruly/creepy guests stay in check. The princess can just call out "guards!!", and the guards can come and protect their staff. And it won't break character too. :D I can imagine Jasmine's and rapunzel's guards dressed just like the guards in their respective movies. That would be cool, and safer.
Actually, at Disney parks many don't realize that security guards are actually everywhere on property. They dress up like a tourist so they don't take the magical look away from disney parks, if you see a security guard out of costume inside the parks, not near the trams or near the entrance, that means someone was causing trouble. Like at a store in Epcot a man had obviously been drinking around the world and was harrasing guest, that's when security showed up. Sorry for long paragraph, I just though I'd let you know :).
But of course, your idea for them to dress up like the guards is amazing, just some princesses don't have guards and tgey have to smile throughout the day
Turtle Lady i am aware that they do have guards dressed in civilian clothes, so as to not ruin the magic. But yeah, i don't think that's safe enough for the princess characters, and i feel disney should specially assign their princess characters more security as the princesses tend to run into more problematic guests due to their popularity. As for the princess who don't have guards in their movie, i feel disney can design guards for them? Eg, Pocahontas can have guards dressed like how kocoum was dressed, like those native American warriors, tiana can have guards like those who did the sword salute in her wedding, cinderella can have guards dressed in the blue uniform and big furry hats, like the ones in the ballroom scene, belle can have guards dressed like olden French castle guards, etc. Disney just need to use their creativity to solve this problem, and the possibility is there. Just feel that disney should up specific security for their princesses because such things r quite important. You'll never know when things might get out of hand and actual injuries/sexual harassment would actually happen. So it's better to be safe than sorry. And using this method i suggested, it doesn't affect the magic at all. In fact it enhances it, because it's totally believable for princesses to have guards assigned to them, even in the disney universe, cos they r afterall, royalty 😋
One time when I was younger, I was meeting Anastasia and Drissela (sorry if I spelled either wrong) with my little sister. There was a little boy who was maybe 3 or 4 in front of us. We were meeting on the side of the castle. The boy went up to Anastasia and quickly fell in love with her. They got onto the topic of Cinderella. The boy suggested that they break into Cinderella's castle! He turned around to a gate that said "DO NOT ENTER STAFF ONLY". But the gate was unlocked! He pulled it open with ease. That gate was most likely used for the afternoon show and the woman playing Anastasia knew this. She suggested that they go at night without skipping a beat. I used to have dreams of working as a princess but after that I knew that I wouldn't be able to pull anything like that off!
My stepdad said that there was once a little boy and his dad in front of him meeting Jasmine. And well you know her crop top....the little boy ended up pulling it down revealing her breasts. She quickly pulled it back up and looked around to see if anyone else saw. My stepdad said he couldn't stop laughing but I just think it's rude
Now I kind of want to be a disney princess when I'm older. But then I would have to move to France, so eh. What happens if you play a disney princess, and a kid who doesn't speak your language talks to you?
I'm tall, I'm pale as a ghost and I have short dark hair. I asked my granny "right so if I would work at Disney, what Disney princess would I be?" She said "Cinderella" all because my name is Ella! 😂 I thought I could be Snow White haha
it must be wonderful being such an adored actor, even despite the hardships. I wish I could aspire to be one, but I have freckles. even if they were covered up, pale princesses usually don't have round noses.
I wanna work there, I mean -I'm thin (Size 0, so I can pretty match the princess who show waists) -I've done musicals and acting, so I'm pretty good with improv and acting in general -I look pretty close to any princess of a tan shade -I'm good with kids But it makes me so scared to audition because I feel like I'd be rejected for being too tall (I'm 5'5 at 14) and I often get breakouts. But I have 4 years until I can so let's cross our fingers.
Also to add that being employeed in the theme parks is a nightmare in general! When my older sister worked there, one of her coworkers had a seizure and then got fired for it. A seizure. As if you can control having them.
My mom’s friend’s daughter once was a character at Disney On Ice, and she could not come out as her character. She had to redress as her normal self in order to come back out and talk to people.
This is an extremely biased video. A lot of these rules apply to all cast members, not just 'princesses'. Also, people in entertainment (aka the princesses) are treated way better than most other cast members.
I wouldn't mind being belle. Tbh my friends say I'd have a good chance of being belle if I auditioned because they say I look like belle, I'm good at improv, I smile alot and have a good personality. Plus, I can speak decent French.
my friends always call me mulan because "I look just like her " for hell of it I had to be a mulan at a 7 year old party because she loves mulan the next thing you know she asked me where shang was and I told her he's at the palace doing work and she began to cry cause she thought she separated us 😂😂😂
I can't be a princess because I hate being out side in the hot for a long time I can't keep my mouth shut when I am supposed to I am the worst smiler ever and I can't remember stuff well and I look bad I look really bad lol
a family with a little girl moved into my neighborhood. at the time I had red hair...she thought I was Ariel. she even came up to me and ask, "where is your tail?!" I told her I had legs on dry land. she found this acceptable. some time later a friend had a mermaid tail and I knew what I had to do! lol put it on, took pics and sent them to her mom. Apparently the little girl freaked! in a good, happy way. hahaha it was a fun feeling knowing I was encouraging her imagination.
If you're asian, I guess the only princess you would be qualified for is Mulan, Snow White, Pocahontas and Maybe Jasmine..and if you're black. ... Tiana only.. wth
Yeah I'm half Chinese and half Indian but my appearance leans more to the Indian side so I look like Jasmine and could possibly even play Pocahontas. Also Snow White is white not asian.
Alexander HAMilton lots of Eurasian can actually look a bit like Snow White 😂 many of them have the palest skin, blackest hair and the tiniest facial features (most Eurasians don't have monolids though) kinda like Snow White from Disney. I even have a Filipino friend who's really pale with mix Eurasian features and when my little sis saw her, she called her Snow White.
Krissy Drake its crazy because They want high quality from the actress's and yet Disney is so cheap and are actually making things a lot harder for these women to pull off these princesses.
Gillian M they made them aware that stupid off wig take the legs off equal and when you hang out don't tell this me but this is the worst I knew why do they want them to me like that they are you going to inside and out no one cares about using your makeup mad you need to wear that you need you need you need you really don't need#don't like smiling and I know I do not want to work for Disney only working for a kid would be but no working for Disney now Disney's don't fire Jake Paul
An old teacher of mine said her friend played Snow White for a while at Disney. She said she seemed to enjoy her job while she had it, but I didn’t realize it was that hard.
-I look like belle (many people tell me too) -I'm turning 16 -I'm 5'5 -Ive always wanted to be a Disney princess -I smile a lot and I'm the class clown -I'm good at acting -Size 10 dress -I know a crap ton about the Beauty and the Beast movie -I'm good at forging ;) hw reasons lol -Makeup is my talent 😤 But after this video, I'm starting to rethink everything...
If it's been a dream of yours, I would say go for it!! Sounds like you meet all the main requirements, I'm sure Disney would love to welcome a new cast member with your skills :)
exactly how I feel girl, I would've loved to be a Disney princess before (although just the short ones like the fairies, Alice, or Wendy because I'm 5'0") but after this video I'm not so sure 😂 I'm too lazy to be standing up and smiling that long lol
I think its pretty good, its 13.50 an hour, at least 8 hours a day, for majority of the week. And all you have to do is not break character, never say no, and keep smiling. they get at least 6 - 700 a week if u cant handle it so be it
that's the pay for part time or the CP program kids... I worked entertainment at WDW as CP and full time and once I became full time I was making $18-22/hour depending on whether I was doing Face or Fur...and the CP kids are given housing while they are employed so 13.50 is cheap but its livable..
i went to disney on a school trip and because we got special passes, we got to go into the park an hour early...........belle was in sweatpants and eating a donut
i know right? i don't really believe that part Disney ids a multi million dollar or wait a muti billion dollar business they could more than afford to pay them at least a reasonable rate
Country Girl how do u think they stay so rich? They lose money paying employees (which there are thousands of them) so the less money employees are paid the more rich Disney stays. It's a simple successful entrepreneur mindset.
Andre Cruz because thousands and thousands of people a day are at Disneyword and buying the movies and toy and stuff and many other things so they make a LOT
What is Disney's motivation to paying the actress more if there remains women lined up to play the role knowing the low pay and crazy rules. Employers don't pay salaries with kindness in mind. They pay the lowest rate for what a decent employee is willing to work for
Lord have mercy. I would like to be one but having no chance to express my happiness with my family and close family friends would be extremely difficult. I don't know if I could handle the stress.
Well • I look like none of the characters •My natural pose is to cross my arms •I have braces • i have messy handwriting •I can't smile for 1+ hour straight • I'm very hard to understand due to my speech •I'm underaged IM PERFECT FOR THE JOB!
BK Productions The answer would probably be along the lines of "what's a superhero?" and when you explain they'd probably pick someone from their own universe like "Prince Aladdin, he saved an entire kingdom you know". Basically as a princess, when in doubt act ditzy, say you don't understand and giggle/smile..
Good! if they're good princess, they'd say something like "my parents because they did everything they could for me" or whichever prince or man they ended up with in the movie (all depending on which princess they are)
Why the fuck would you tell your kid to hit a stranger just to provoke them when they're doing their job and trying to make you and your kid(s) happy? That's bad parenting on so many levels, then when you kid gets in trouble at school for bullying you don't want to claim responsibility for what you taught them. Plus it's just assault when it all boils down. I gained new respect for these women though this video (I already had it before but more so now) and if I was a security guard and I saw that happening I would drag that kid and their shitty parent right out the park by their collars, I dont even care if I got fired..
I would not be able to be a Disney princess for the life of me. My face hurts even if I smile for only 2 minutes strait. And I live in Alaska so the heat would be unbearable for me.
How To Be A Disney Princess Or Prince 1. Tell Everyone To Eat Pizza And Play Call Of Duty 2.Every time You See A Villain, Kick the villain In The Face like a angry donkey 3. Go On A Quest For Nothing 4. Become Mlg 5. Drive A Car To Disney World That's How You Can Be A Disney Princess or Prince
I don't think they will ever have the VK from descendants in the parks, because those are not draws, they are actors and it would be even more difficult to find a bunch of girls that looked exactly like, let's say, Dove Cameron.
IKR ! So much for staying in character ;)
Thorn Volkov probably same thing with Moana when they add her
She is a chief ! I know its unfair but that's what they say :(
And Pocahontas rarely smiled
Victoria Smalls true how does that work out?
My cousin plays Cinderella, whenever I go to see her at Disney she always acts like I'm just a regular guest who wants autos and selfies. And of course I was confused as to why she "didn't" remember me so i decided to do some research and I found this. Thanks for the information,it really helped me out :)
xD that's so omg like really this is crazy I think I would get my cousin of course by mistake but yeah
kawa your really not supposed to tell🤐
Your cousin must be really pretty

Erin Hughes I just found my twin

I would love to be a Disney princess ... but it's so much work
My Spanish teacher used to work at Disney and she got payed less than she does now as a teacher. the work conditions were hard and even when it was hot she had to wear the horrible costumes for hours
Well, I'm glad teachers are paid better than Disney princesses
Though apparently, clowns can make more than teachers.
If I'm completely honest I would audition because the guys auditioning as the prince's would probably be really hot.
How old was your teacher as a Disney princess?! Most of the women who were claimed to be between 18-23 in the video looked way older than that.
Stixnet Gaming I think she was 22 when she started there. I'm not sure. But then she was too old so she did the costumes. But I know she went straight to Disney after school. And she went to a Disney college thing.
one of my friends is a disney princess. and i would ask her what princess she was, she was like i cant tell you. and like i would get mad sometimes at why she wouldn't tell me.. but now i understand the difficulties of being a princess. but even tho she quit being a princess and carried her life working as a teacher now, she still wont tell me today. lmfao
Now that is dedication and loyalty. Good for her. :)
I worked their last year(As Alice)It was really fun.Just remember that the makeup has to super perfect.I almost got fired bc i had the eyeshadow darker
Disney is a multi-billion dollar business, but they can't spend $300 on getting Elsa a realistic wig 😑
How do you think they got to be a multi-billion dollar business? ;)
7:03 is fine. 7:26 is wtf.
reallifein3d honestly, they could get her a really nice, realistic wig on ebay for about $20.
Lol
I mean, there are several other princesses whose wigs are questionable (I'm looking at you Anna & Cinderella), but Elsa's is so bad. It's like a platinum blonde, plastic, braided mullet 😂
This one time I went to universal studios the Frankenstein smiled at a kid then suddenly scared him. He said, and I quote, "this isn't Disney! We don't have to be nice!" And that was the highlight of my life
Vamplvr21 LOL🤣
Oh my God. That's the best comment I've seen all summer. Truly thankful.
Vamplvr21 BLESS THAT FRANKENSTEIN
Vamplvr21 that was the highlight of mine too 😂 😂 😂
Why do you think everyone loves working at The Haunted Mansion? It's the only ride where you don't have to smile or be nice to the guests.
Thank you because I'm going to Disney on August 23rd so me reading this made me happy :)
lmao I wish I had this type of childhood I've literally never been to Disney before and I'm 14, the struggles of growing up poor but I'm glad you guys had fun :)
None of these seem strange to me, because it's all about the kids. If a princess breaks character to talk to a friend and a child is nearby, that princess is ruined for them. Disney takes that very seriously. It's all about making the magic real for them.
It's all about the little details like this that make Disney so special. Nobody would want to go if it wasn't like this
Holly Dae yes!!! Thank you some one smart...
yes! please! let's keep the lie up by staying in character 😑
Holly Dae true
My fiancé is Tarzan & he didn’t have to do half this sh*t.
Men always have it easier🙄
Honestly what do people expect? This is an acting job and all of these requirements are typical for acting - stay in character, improv, look your part, learn your lines and your history, deal with hardships without letting people notice... Just because people don't say out loud that it's an acting job, that's what it's categorised as. I've worked as an actress in my local amusement park as a ghost actor, and all of these rules applied to me, during my entire life as an actress these are the kinds of rules you work with. People want to make it sound so hard but that's just what it's like being an actress that's not on screen like a regular movie star.
yeah but what real actor gets paid $13 an hour? Disney is just super cheap.
Anyway, it is a hard job, but not much different than normal acting gigs.
expect the doing your own makeup perfectly part
8:03 FUN FACT: my favorite former Peter Pan (the one people nicknamed Spieling Peter) is now married to a former Wendy! It's the cutest ever.
Chelsea L. my favourate Peter pan's real name was Trevor and he used to play Pluto too. but he wouldn't have fallen for Wendy as he is as gay as they come😅😄🤗
Chelsea L. They have a baby girl now too! And no, she is not named after a Disney character. I always loved Spieling when he was there!
how do you know their name?
Ma'am please refrain from stalking the former workers
Awh that's so cute 😪 imagine the questions they would get from their future kids asking about how they met :')
My cousin who works at DisneyLand as a Princess once asked me to ask her Smart questions,
So I asked her why the beast is a beast again (for example) and she said 'Oh, he kept stealing chocolate'
Honestly that answer made me laugh.
Edit- 1.1k likes?!
That's more than I've ever got...
Lokaiмist 邊 lmao u lie
nooooo they mean after the movie
+Cutest Angel you DO see "AGAIN" in the.comment right?
Lokaiмist 邊 it's because the human prince was rude and mean so a fairy turned him into a beast
Shubii's Universe no it wasn't a fairy it was a witch
They apparently do show you how to do the basic makeup/recommend what colors would go best, so you don't do it all from scratch. They also don't use as much makeup because they want a fresh-faced look, rather than a heavy, Instagram look.
Reasons why I can't be a princess
1- I'm messy
2- I don't have a perfect body
3- It's unnecessary for me to smile for over 5 seconds
Sushi Katelyn same! But I also HATE makeup
Accurate
same.
My nose is kinda crooked so they probally would not hire me :/ the only character they would ever probally hire me for is Merdia from Brave because i have curly red hair and she acts like a tom boy :P
Danellys
I've auditioned a few times and I cannot wait to audition again! Even though I haven't gotten the job yet, I still stay optimistic. I've met some really awesome people at the auditions, and I've gotten to see them at Disneyland as characters! It's been my dream and ambition to be a princess since I was 5 years old, and I'm never giving up until I make it.
you get it girl! never give up if it's something you really want! sometimes it's all about timing!
Jennifer Dquette IDK. Probably,Because you gotta master the voice.
I love your positivity. I want to be as Princess too and I hope I get the part when I'm older. I hope you get the part at the next audition. Good luck and thanks for the pep-talk.
Question , do you need to pay a certain amount in order to audition or is it free?
"Be yourself" they say!
"Follow your dreams" thEY sAY!!
"You can be whatever or whoever you want" THEY SAY!!!!
Edit 1: Thanks for the likes

Also one other rule I think you must have is perfect teeth
too fat,
too tall,
don't look like a princess,
to stupid
can't stand for that long
can't say nothing about my job...
the conclusion is that i will never be a princess
I suggest you work in a bell tower | LMAO JK just tried to make some people laugh
vickyi know u i subscribed udid that vid when if u could sing
Vicky Michelle I am black...... yeah can only be one princess stupid disney
To be honest. there just judging by looks. Somewhat Racist.
I cant even smile for more then 20 minutes at a time
I just want to go to Disney right now to give all these girls a huge hug, because I never ever realized when I went at 6 or whatever how hard it must have been to be a DIsney princess.
Preethila Zaman agreed
Preethila Zaman noone is forcing them to apply for that job
Preethila Zaman I'm going to audition just to find out if they think I look like a princess!
Preethila Zaman i work at disney world as ariel and it is soo hard
Virginia Parra I thought you weren't allowed to say what princess you were.
They have to do their own makeup? That's crazy! I went to Disneyworld this summer and I got to meet Snow White in person, I can't imagine how hard it had to be to do the makeup.
I wish I could be a Disney princess when I'm older but I'm only 10.👑
I’m only 56
I m 9 years girl
I'm 9
i actully was a disney princess last yesr, it was difficult at first, but if you really are kotivated it would feel like your living 2 lives and everything just becomes natural to you. I ended up quiting, not because i didnt love it, but that there were so many girls wanting to be ny princess, belle.
Heather Radomski
Do you have to have good teeth to be a Disney princess? Or do you wear a flipper? Mine are fine just a bit crooked
The same as any place where money is being made: the consumer is always right.
I've worked for Disney and universal and they never once told me that i couldn't say no per say. You simply offer another suggestion and problem solve to take care of your guest :)
Never worked in retail, have you? It's the same in all service jobs.
The size requirements are because the princesses all have to fit in costumes that are similarly sized. You cant have three Cinderellas that all look different/are different heights and sizes. It's confusing to children. It's not difficult to understand. The signatures all have to look the same because children will notice if they get a different signature from the same princess.
Alex Payne I honestly don't think kids would care that much,
Kids notice things. I used to see that a lot of kids noticed the mascot characters didn't blink and they had to change them... They're pretty observant.
Alex Payne notice yes. But they still really won't care
Exactly. Children aren't stupid, and they notice more than people realize. I'm starting to think that people forget what it was like to be a child xD
OH MY GOSH YOU PUT STEVEN UNIVERSE IN THERE!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
my moms friend was Jasmine and she married the guy who played aldain. SHE LITERALLY MARRIED A PRINCE.
Piper McLean Hii my name is Jasmine :D
omg hello fellow demigod
Well technically Aladdin is only a prince by marriage so he married a princess!
more like Aladdin LITERALLY MARRIED A PRINCESS! ;)
(+just discovered a typo and so many likes! haha thanks)
Piper McLean my mom is snow white
Wow now I know whenever I'm at Disney, is to ask for their picture and a hug besides asking questions to make their job difficult.
I would love to be a Disney princess but I don't look like any of them
Hahahaha
Exactly what I thought xD
Tori's Tutorials The characters actually LOVE it when people discuss their movie/ask questions about their movie. Questions like "how's Olaf?" Or "has Prince Charming taken you on any dates lately?" Are AWESOME! If it's a question that's obviously hard you'll know before you ask it 😄
Really!? Well I'll like to hear some crazy questions myself XD
At 3:05 I feel bad for the people who have to learn Belle's signature.
SushiLover Puff or Ariel 🤔
SushiLover Puff I would just hope to get Pocahontas or Jasmine lmao (Tiana's also looks simple)
Sofia Delgadillo Mulan looks easy, I actually can forge it
G-Dragon's Wife lmao yeah it looks pretty simple also
But I could only pull off characters of a more olive skin tone (btw your husband is lit👌)
I've been able to forge all the Disney princess's signatures since I was 11 they really aren't as hard as you think
That sounds amazing, I would go through all that work just to see little kids smile!!!
The last number you are is the Disney Princess you are most like:
0: Ariel - You are a happy person and you love to explore new things.
1: Belle - You are kind hearted and very special in your own unique way! You have a few hobbies that are all very different, but you're true hobby is finding _love_
2: Cinderella - You are loving and delicate, the most remembered fairy tail character.
(See what I did there?!)
Edit: Thanks for pointing this out Lusina Blackwood. Please check my new edit comment below where I add more princesses! These are the ones that reach the most likes :)

I told my mom it was on my bucket list to get a job as a Disney Princess
My mom said It will never happen. You're too mean.
...😒😂 There goes my dreams
SIRiMAC don't give up, I belive that you can Do it!! :)
You said that Disney princesses can't say no... and people proposed to them? 😂😂💕
Amy Jade Music They can't say the word no like if a guy proposes they probably say something like "I must decline your offer" or anything like that
Katie Gollon ohh okay, as long as it's safe ahahah x
Amy Jade Music I would say like who ever my prince was they would get mad
Syd M that is smartttttt thank you x
Let's be real y'all, if the price is right anyone who's a Disney Princess or Prince would marry a total stranger.
If they really can't take the deal then they should just tell the person "I'm unfortunately married to the spirt of Disneyland. I could not see any other way to live."
I can't get enough of Belle's signature...
TheThings: And Don’t Think That You Will Get To Choose Your Favorite Princess
Me, a 5'4" white girl: What? I can’t choose to be Belle?
This video is so spot on.
-former cast member who had to listen to princesses argue about what size dress they really wore and then had to try and get them inside it
When I go to Disney on my birthday, I'll do one of the following:
* get Elsa and Jack Frost (if there is one) to hangout
*meet Gaston
* ask Belle how Gaston was like in their childhood
*ask Pocahontas how she survived a jump in colors of the wind
Jack Frost is Dreamworks
Jack Frost is from Dreamworks she won't even know him.
Jack Frost is from Dreamworks, so you won't find him at any Disney park. And if you get a friend to dress as him, Elsa is not allowed to acknowledge who he is because she could get in big trouble with Disney.
I tried to find Gaston last time i was there and was so disapointed to not find him
Alyssa Da Turtle Omg, I love your picture of Shane xD
3:06 Belle's signature though
HAHAHA!
nothing too difficult about it, it's a basic calligraphy flourish being repeated
XxTiger LightxX .
I think Ariel's is more annoying and more complicated, in my opinion. You gotta fucking draw bubbles!
XxTiger LightxX IKR messy handwriting
My family member has worked as a Disney princess for 6 years and absolutely loves her job.
If you think 2 days is a long audition, you probably haven't auditioned for much outside of a high school play.
Right! My fellow dancer was auditioning for a role in a play and the audition was two weeks!
Exactly! Or try applying to university - then you won't mind it being only two days ^^

Out of all if those paragraphs you already know I AM NOT going to be a Disney Princess for sure lmao
Donut - Sounds lol sameee
it does not matter whats o the outside but the inside
pretty rude black rose. i guess I am too though
yes?
I don't think they do
I am literally just like u. I cannot smile for hours a day, I hate makeup, let alone doing it perfectly. NO THANK U. I AM NOT A PRINCESS.
I remember once when I was a kid,I walked up to a Cinderella and asked her "Are you a real Disney Princess?" She replied with "Yes"
Then I asked, "Why did you lie to me?"
Hollywood's Most Beautiful Couple Wow... you're savage
What characters did you get to do?
Ann Marie Bennett That's almost like slavery in a way...
Gosh I am sorry for you to go through that
I would not like to do that
Wow you must of hated it there
What character you were playing there
They should dress security in guards outfits and assign them near the princesses to make sure unruly/creepy guests stay in check. The princess can just call out "guards!!", and the guards can come and protect their staff. And it won't break character too. :D
I can imagine Jasmine's and rapunzel's guards dressed just like the guards in their respective movies. That would be cool, and safer.
That is a fantastic idea!
i know that the mask cotes have handles not sure about the others
Thebellabo Random things Snow White would suit how you described yourself
It sounds to me that you are too pretty to be a Disney princess. :)
I'm tall, pale, blonde, blue-eyed, and my name is Ella. Cinderella makes sense for me.
My mom told me that when I was 3 or 4 that I gave Snow White an apple...
Fairytalehunter FTW BRUH
you are an amazing person.
LavenderSky Thanks xD
Fairytalehunter FTW I said "awww" until i remembered what the apple meant😂
RandomGus me too😂
it must be wonderful being such an adored actor, even despite the hardships. I wish I could aspire to be one, but I have freckles. even if they were covered up, pale princesses usually don't have round noses.
You could be Merida! She has freckles and a fairly large nose!
I wanna work there, I mean
-I'm thin (Size 0, so I can pretty match the princess who show waists)
-I've done musicals and acting, so I'm pretty good with improv and acting in general
-I look pretty close to any princess of a tan shade
-I'm good with kids
But it makes me so scared to audition because I feel like I'd be rejected for being too tall (I'm 5'5 at 14) and I often get breakouts. But I have 4 years until I can so let's cross our fingers.
Also to add that being employeed in the theme parks is a nightmare in general! When my older sister worked there, one of her coworkers had a seizure and then got fired for it. A seizure. As if you can control having them.
Jacklin Carter Wow. That's messed up that they got fired for that. That makes me mad.
Jacklin Carter wow.
thats really messed up
Bullshit against the law
Damion Young Do you even know what a seizure is?
Making up to 16 dollars would be great. I make $8.75 at a factory and I know for a fact it's a lot tougher than this job.
I don't miss making shitty wages.
You know there are other jobs out there.
I work at a factory too (y)
Reasons why I can't be a princess
1. All reasons
OMG yassss I watched this to see how sad my life is 😂😂👍
I'm too ugly, but if I was pretty, I could probably do it...
Amalie Ebbell you aren't ugly everyone is beautiful❤
Poki poki I couldn't be a princess because I'm so big and don't look like a princess
Poki poki lmfaoo relatable
My mom’s friend’s daughter once was a character at Disney On Ice, and she could not come out as her character. She had to redress as her normal self in order to come back out and talk to people.
This is an extremely biased video. A lot of these rules apply to all cast members, not just 'princesses'. Also, people in entertainment (aka the princesses) are treated way better than most other cast members.
If I'm a princess at Disney I'll ruin kids dreams and probably get fired
Ceep on swagin omg same, I like kids but they just make me wanna smack them sometimes
Ceep on swagin same, I'll make them realize that no princess' neck is the same size as her waist.
Nope that's to much work, but the pranking each other would be the best part.

I wouldn't mind being belle. Tbh my friends say I'd have a good chance of being belle if I auditioned because they say I look like belle, I'm good at improv, I smile alot and have a good personality. Plus, I can speak decent French.
Same. I'm also extremely outgoing and friendly.
Channel Gamez ,im half french . ;D
Well aren't you lucky
my friends always call me mulan because "I look just like her " for hell of it I had to be a mulan at a 7 year old party because she loves mulan the next thing you know she asked me where shang was and I told her he's at the palace doing work and she began to cry cause she thought she separated us 😂😂😂
Angel tiesto can you be Mulan in my next birthday party? But this time bring Shang Li, I'll be the one to separate you 😂😂😂
Kat Skywalker I don't even know where you live 😂😂😂😂😂 and no shang le is still at the palace 😂
+Pony Gamer so true for me too!
Elsa singing IMT the thumbnail: LET ME GO! LET ME GO! CANT HOLD IT BACK ANYMORE!
I think it would be fun to work as a Disney princess but really difficult.
Same!
Anyone else watching 2018!!! It’s sooo crazy to think about but yeah...
Isabel Bartolo yes adsolutly
Isabel Bartolo me
YYYYYUUUUUPPPPPP
I am
Isabel Bartolo me
If you're asian, I guess the only princess you would be qualified for is Mulan, Snow White, Pocahontas and Maybe Jasmine..and if you're black. ... Tiana only.. wth
Yeah I'm half Chinese and half Indian but my appearance leans more to the Indian side so I look like Jasmine and could possibly even play Pocahontas. Also Snow White is white not asian.
Alexander HAMilton Snow white is European.....
Pocahontas isn't Asian. she's a native American
If you're Hawaiian like me, Moana is the only princess. :/
And I think I’d just be the person who makes the effects and makes the lights go where I want them to go.
I could never be a princess. "Fuck" is my favorite word.
Bea W and bitch 🤦🏽♀️
Bea W same tho
WOW I don't think I am ever going to think of having that job
I don't understand how disney has such high standards for the princesses but makes them wear those awful wigs.
Krissy Drake Why did Elsa get Arrested!!?! I'm shocked
Erica Haynes What
Krissy Drake 6
An old teacher of mine said her friend played Snow White for a while at Disney. She said she seemed to enjoy her job while she had it, but I didn’t realize it was that hard.
-I look like belle (many people tell me too)
-I'm turning 16
-I'm 5'5
-Ive always wanted to be a Disney princess
-I smile a lot and I'm the class clown
-I'm good at acting
-Size 10 dress
-I know a crap ton about the Beauty and the Beast movie
-I'm good at forging ;) hw reasons lol
-Makeup is my talent 😤
But after this video, I'm starting to rethink everything...
Nooooo you totally should! I'll come visit you at Disney!
Leilani H I am 14 so 2 more years for me so I am a little over weight I could be Sleeping Beauty
DO IT!
WHATS THE WORST THAT COULD HAPPEN?
you get fired? WELL YOU CAN MAKE AN AMAZING RUclips VIDEO OF YOUR EXPERIENCES
None of this stuff is strange... it all makes perfect sense actually.
yeah it really does
Elias Crooker it does
All this for $13.50????
An administrative assistant can get far more with less aggravation
I think its pretty good, its 13.50 an hour, at least 8 hours a day, for majority of the week. And all you have to do is not break character, never say no, and keep smiling. they get at least 6 - 700 a week if u cant handle it so be it
Yeah especially if they charge an arm and a leg to get into the dang park , my cousin worked as a cast member for Disney she got paid 9.50$ an hr .
I'd do it!
that's the pay for part time or the CP program kids... I worked entertainment at WDW as CP and full time and once I became full time I was making $18-22/hour depending on whether I was doing Face or Fur...and the CP kids are given housing while they are employed so 13.50 is cheap but its livable..
My aunt said she worked at Disney playing Bell for a while, but then she quit because of the non-stop smiling... NOW SHE WANTS ME TO BE ONE... AHHH
i went to disney on a school trip and because we got special passes, we got to go into the park an hour early...........belle was in sweatpants and eating a donut
nobody believes you but alright babe
I'mObsessedWithEverything 03772 it's true I was the donut
I'mObsessedWithEverything 03772 no one believes we all know you are lying
BAHA
Hahahahahaha
I respect all of this - but that pay rate??? Disney can afford to pay them properly, wth?!
i know right? i don't really believe that part Disney ids a multi million dollar or wait a muti billion dollar business they could more than afford to pay them at least a reasonable rate
wow, I thought Disneyland sucked, but I didn't know it was THAT bad
Country Girl how do u think they stay so rich? They lose money paying employees (which there are thousands of them) so the less money employees are paid the more rich Disney stays. It's a simple successful entrepreneur mindset.
Andre Cruz because thousands and thousands of people a day are at Disneyword and buying the movies and toy and stuff and many other things so they make a LOT
What is Disney's motivation to paying the actress more if there remains women lined up to play the role knowing the low pay and crazy rules. Employers don't pay salaries with kindness in mind. They pay the lowest rate for what a decent employee is willing to work for
8:33 Sorry but I can't stop laughing 😂 as Kakashi Brings Jack Frost over to Elsa and is like here hold hands
Elizabeth Trujillo I guess those books inspired him to make others fall in love
No because I wouldn't be able to tell my family about my job. I'll work behind the scenes there. :)
As a former cast member, some of these are less than accurate. But this was really cool to watch
Lord have mercy. I would like to be one but having no chance to express my happiness with my family and close family friends would be extremely difficult. I don't know if I could handle the stress.
Alissa Harder same
Alissa Harder and there's not that much of a pay even
Well
• I look like none of the characters
•My natural pose is to cross my arms
•I have braces
• i have messy handwriting
•I can't smile for 1+ hour straight
• I'm very hard to understand due to my speech
•I'm underaged
IM PERFECT FOR THE JOB!
Zia Martin Same but I have glasses WE ARE PERFECT FOR THIS JOB
I know what princesses my daughters will be:
Yougest-any princess but Pocahontas
Oldest-unsure
Next time I go to disneyland or DisneyWorld I will ask them who is their favourite superhero😂😂
Spoiler alert!
BK Productions no offense butt they have to act like a princess. I'm pretty sure u can get them fired
Good! if they're good princess, they'd say something like "my parents because they did everything they could for me" or whichever prince or man they ended up with in the movie (all depending on which princess they are)
Ximena Rubio "butt"
8:17-8:20 SOMI, SOHYE, NAYOUNG and PINKY. Hahaha 😂😍💞💕💋 I'm missing I.O.I so much 😢😢😢
do u like aphmau too?!!
Addison Mitulinski YES DU APH IS LIFE
Addison Mitulinski APHMAUU
APHMAU!!!! I AM SHARING FOXY'S ACCOUNT YASSSSS!!!!!
If I had to smile all day, I'd go absolutely NUTS
I love your videos so much keep in it girl
Why the fuck would you tell your kid to hit a stranger just to provoke them when they're doing their job and trying to make you and your kid(s) happy? That's bad parenting on so many levels, then when you kid gets in trouble at school for bullying you don't want to claim responsibility for what you taught them. Plus it's just assault when it all boils down. I gained new respect for these women though this video (I already had it before but more so now) and if I was a security guard and I saw that happening I would drag that kid and their shitty parent right out the park by their collars, I dont even care if I got fired..
7:10 jasmine you better keep your hands buy your side or your going to get fired
😂
If I auditioned I know I would be Pocahontas because I'm the same skin tone, I have very long straight hair and I'm American Indian :)
same I'm just not very tall
Elise Lightheart I'd be Tiana b'cuz of my skin tone and I'm African
I might be Mulan or Snow White,,, I have no idea
um girl u wear a wig... ur hair doesn't matter
miraculous, she's from louisiana...
I would not be able to be a Disney princess for the life of me. My face hurts even if I smile for only 2 minutes strait. And I live in Alaska so the heat would be unbearable for me.
How To Be A Disney Princess Or Prince
1. Tell Everyone To Eat Pizza And Play Call Of Duty
2.Every time You See A Villain, Kick the villain In The Face like a angry donkey
3. Go On A Quest For Nothing
4. Become Mlg
5. Drive A Car To Disney World
That's How You Can Be A Disney Princess or Prince
Lol
Kevin Carson XD
Lmao
Kevin Carson LOL
Kevin Carson lol
what about a disney villan
Ooohh I'd be better at that one because I'm really not good at smiling for more than one minute straight
PusheenSoCuteHolding. DONUTS!!!!! SAMMMMMME
I don't think they will ever have the VK from descendants in the parks, because those are not draws, they are actors and it would be even more difficult to find a bunch of girls that looked exactly like, let's say, Dove Cameron.
Nerea Mondragón that is true but I would love to be Evie
Nerea Mondragón they have an animation series for descendents
I always wanted to be a Disney Princess but when i watched this video I'm like nevermind
