Good morning! This is another tenor piece that I’ll add to my ever increasing list of “Tenor music that me, an inexperienced snare player will definitely try to play in the future for sure.”
Good evening! This is a tenor piece that I, a saxophone transferring to battery after an excellent spring percussion season, will totally eventually play one day. Nice to hear there are other hopefuls out there 🤩
You have to get your Mom familiar with Eric ... So she'd understand ... 🤭😉 I had to get my 48 year old SON to understand ... and I love EMC Productions!
I'm a bass player and cook by trade, the poly's are super sick. I wish every "cool kid" could take time to appreciate the band-o's. This is why you guys rock, I grew up playing for punk bands; and there is nothing more punk rock than knowing what you are doing, and why you are doing it. Keep up the good work brotha, mad respect!
This channel deserves way more views than it gets, its so informational and cool to watch. I can honestly say that watching this has helped me in my high school percussion class.
In 1998 SOA, we had a killer multi-percussion section that started off the entire show with a gliss on the congas. Every night, it was a masterclass by Hashim Veal.
I don’t think it is a coincidence that an ad for a common ritual used in maintaining prostate health played during this video. 😂 EMC already spilled their “secret” in the title.
Good morning! Watched the ‘09 video right after you finished the solo in this one. I’d say you played this better in your older, more wiser years. But the singles to doubles were better played in your younger years, and velocity was certainly not a factor. Lol you know, those youthful hot hands we used to have 😆. Biggest take away I noticed, It was definitely rim city at 101 in 2009, but goddammit I don’t think you hit a single rim in this one throughout the entire solo! 😂 Just gotta say, I remember me and my friends crowded around the computer in the band room(where we just always hung out) watching this in high school in ‘09 and just being blown away, and even though this vid is two years old now, (I’m still fairly new to your channel and am playing some catch up) you’ve just progressively gotten better and better and I’m envious of your chops. I played Bass 1 myself, and wouldn’t change that for the world as my drum throughout my marching days, but have always wished I developed my tenor chops as well. Keep up the great content, and have yourself a swell morning!
So, having become obsessed with trying to become coordinated, I purchased a practice drum pad a few months ago ... But Now I'll have to purchase a snare drum so that I can try to learn how to stroke the head! 😝🐔🥴🤭
EMC: There’s a lot of coordination going on here John Bonham: I’ve played 90% of “Moby Dick” sans sticks. I can handle that. Ringo Starr: I’VE GOT BLISTERS ON ME BLISTERS!
If me and the other guys in my high school drum line saw stuff like this back then we would have all shit our pants. THIS STYLE OF DRUMMING IS ABSOLUTELY NUTS. 😱😱😱
Really like the three implement section. Sweep section was really well performed. Too bad you didn’t add some sort of extended singles with crossovers to end that section. Would’ve made it even more next level.
since Nick Arce unfollowed me from Instagram, Ima say you deserved the W over him in 2009 - this is an actual solo with actual flow + originality + demand
Me: flashing back to 50 types of I&E drum solos.
#7 the inappropriate title.
this man didn't hit a single rim
AznAfroMan513 I know he’s a legend
He's a god
Yes he did 1:42
@@503music6 because he meant to
@@503music6 they mean accidentally
Him: so slowly, the pattern goes like this:
Also him: proceeds to shred on his tenors
My jaw dropped to the FLOOR with the movement around the drums. There wasn’t a single rim tick. Woah! Eric, you are an absolute inspiration!
No one:
Absolutely nobody:
Eric carr: *25/32*
Eric Carr is a prog musician
This is not funny
Good morning! This is another tenor piece that I’ll add to my ever increasing list of “Tenor music that me, an inexperienced snare player will definitely try to play in the future for sure.”
It’s nice to dream.
Good evening! This is a tenor piece that I, a saxophone transferring to battery after an excellent spring percussion season, will totally eventually play one day. Nice to hear there are other hopefuls out there 🤩
yesssss this is gonna give me something to do
I love him humbling himself at the end with the polyrhythm 9:34. Go you man, Im writing an I&E solo for this season and you are truly and inspiration
Eric acting like he didn't just drop a huge bomb on us at the end
Yessir. You know I’m sure Steven Sassafras knows a lot about tat!
TPC Weezie Yikes
I was in the car watching this video and it started to buffer and it just paused right as it said stroking the head. My mom was very confused
You have to get your Mom familiar with Eric ... So she'd understand ... 🤭😉 I had to get my 48 year old SON to understand ... and I love EMC Productions!
The best part is the extended sweep pattern that literally goes on forever
How could you not like this, this is the definition of a tenor player :)
its actually so fucking creative i LOVE IT

Eric: I’m gonna slow this down now. *plays about 10 bpm slower*

5:42 that is the face of a man who shat himself
I loved the vid, those scrape patterns are crazy and you didnt hit rim. I love it
I've never clicked on a notification so fast. Especially while laughing
Edit: I love this solo. I wish I could stroke the head as well as Eric
You are literally the best drummer I’ve ever seen oh my gosh.
In 1998 SOA, we had a killer multi-percussion section that started off the entire show with a gliss on the congas. Every night, it was a masterclass by Hashim Veal.
I WAS WEARING HEADPHONES WHEN THE BEE SOUND EFFECT PLAYED AND YOU SCARED ME SO BAD
Eric didn’t run the intro?! I’m glad he still said Good Morning though! Makes my day!
I don’t think it is a coincidence that an ad for a common ritual used in maintaining prostate health played during this video. 😂
EMC already spilled their “secret” in the title.
Yes. I have been waiting for thisss. Thanks!
4:16 SCV 2005 Tenor I&E
The 1:06 part is so memorable, I love that part.
Thanks for the Quarantine Distraction! Otherwise I would still be outside in the garage cleaning out boxes of Paperwork from 1998-2000!
That is some of the finest head stroking I've seen or heard in a long time👍
nice
You definitely played it better than 2009. I didn't hear ANY rims in this one.
You are obviously in LOVE ❤️... with those drums!! 🥁
you have no idea how happy this makes me
I love how your wearing the trix shirt 😂
You're definitely the shredder
3:45 THAT IS INSANE 😱
the smile at the end because you know how nasty that is
Absolute monster
jokes aside, this is actually a really cool solo

Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor.....just... WOW!!! 😳🤯
I think the dci version emphasizes the choppiness more but this playthrough emphasizes the musicality of it
I've never used those types of drums. I only use it for like my marching band
Loving the new camera!
The drums after 🫃
That left me scratching my head !
I love on measure 40 it has your intro😂 ( 1:57 )
Sou brasileiro e gosto muito dos seus videos
So, having become obsessed with trying to become coordinated, I purchased a practice drum pad a few months ago ... But Now I'll have to purchase a snare drum so that I can try to learn how to stroke the head! 😝🐔🥴🤭
@EMCproductions you should make a complete snare I&E
EMC: There’s a lot of coordination going on here
John Bonham: I’ve played 90% of “Moby Dick” sans sticks. I can handle that.
Ringo Starr: I’VE GOT BLISTERS ON ME BLISTERS!

What a beast of a piece! Nice work!
dude you almost made me shit myself at 5:06 with that insect buzz even though i haven't seen a bee in months
Love the vids Eric
I knew some great drummers in my time, but this is insane. Or is it just normal for drummers since we are all insane?
Me:(before watching) I should learn this while I’m in quarantine. Me:(after watching) haha I’m nowhere near good enough
👍🏻 loved it!
I would pay to just watch you play random stuff :P
I want to play this so bad, ( we don't have tenors though, also I don't have a matching drum at my house lol).
Really like the three implement section. Sweep section was really well performed. Too bad you didn’t add some sort of extended singles with crossovers to end that section. Would’ve made it even more next level.

7:41 ==== Eric.... are you using Matt Mullholland? he's one of my mates...
I know you did it better than in 2009...

You should make davie504 try and play it!!!
How the fuck would someone who had never touched a drum play a professional solo meant for one of the top tenor players in the workd
Make a video teaching us how to write a solo👌👌
