I think re-signing Yannick and getting a vet like Linval Joseph, whos had a lot of experience in a 4-3 Defense, would be a good idea.

I am all for a Hendrickson trade. I've been harping for it for a week. A trade for Hendrickson would be the perfect addition to the Bears defense. Trade a 2025 second round pick and a 2026 second round pick for TREY HENDRICKSON then ink him to a 3 year extension. That would make the Bears a complete and immediate contender without mortgaging away their future. It would also allow them to kick Walker inside to the 3TECH position where Walker is better suited. This would give the Bears that much needed veteran DE that basically kills 2 birds with 1 stone by allowing more depth flexibility with Walker on the interior too. NO ONE in the NFCN will beat the Bears if they trade for TREY HENDRICKSON. NO ONE! The Bears will run the table on anyone if they add HENDRICKSON WITH MONTEZ SWEAT.. They could also field a SICK NASCAR front with Sweat as a GHOST 5TECH, Walker as the 1 SHADE, HENDRICKSON as the 3TECH, and Booker as the HEAD UP 6TECH. That would be a SICK NASCAR front on passing downs. I would LOVE this trade!
I think two second rd picks is VERY expensive for a player about to turn 30. I could see our second next year and, either a third the year after or a day 3 pick next year added to the second.

I would run it back with Yannick and if Trey's available before the trade deadline, seeing where the Bears are as far as playoff contention, i would go for trading for him! He gets off the line so fast, he almost looks offsides! Lbs
Mason Graham is a BEAST. I’m going to look into the other edges, but I’ve heard next year is a great year to get edge players.

I do not like the idea of acquiring players in their 30s. I have seen the 🐻s do this before. What winds up happening is a the team is over the salary cap and they’re a flash in the pan. One or two good season and that’s it. I would rather they continue to acquire young talent that they can develop giving the 🐻 good play for multiple years.

Sure it's possible. They can restructure his current deal, giv him his raise, back load the garaunteed money, and also convert a portion of it to a signing bonus. In the 2025 offseason the Bears will have over 80 million dollars in cap space and really won't have to use free agency for much of anything. They can pretty much just use the draft to aquire a SLOT WR to replace Allen, a 3TEH then use the rest to fill out depth. The Bears can get this done alot easier and with less draft capital than people speculate.

We only have 15 people on the roster for 2026 which means extensions will be coming for many players next year. Good GMs look out 3-5 years unless they just want to make one big run like the “super team” Eagles a while back that busted or the Rams that worked out for a Super Bowl
Trade for trey extend him for 2 years before you have to give all the money to Caleb and rome. This is why you brought in rookie qb. You have the money. Window is open if you do this for 4 years. Still got 9 picks next year if you trade 2nd.

Pat sounds like the Bears are Trey Hendrickson's only offer. LOL. Every team not named the Bengals will be after him with trade offers. The Bears better come up with something better than a 1 yr deal. The dude is a missing piece between the Bears being a top half defensive unit and a top 5 defense and a deep playoff run.
Trade: 2025 2nd rd pick via Carolina, DeMarcus Walker or Khalil Herbert, and a 2026 4th rd'r for him.

The.Bears could pull this off easier than people think. BRIAN BURNS went to the Giants for a Second round pick, a fourth round pick and a 2026 fifth round pick.. when the Bears traded Mack I believe he was 30 and Mack cost the Chargers a Second pick and a Fourth round pick. Montez Sweat cost the Bears a Second round pick. A TREY HENDRICKSON trade would not coat the Bears as much as people speculate. Hendrickson would probably cost 2 secon round picks or maybe a second an a third round pick. Hendrickson would be the perfect trade and addition to the Bears roster!
If the Bears add HENDRICKSON they will win more than 8 or 9 games, instead they'd win 11+ games. DO IT!
