i believe the reason more people do not appreciate this, is because they don't realise how extremely difficult it is. these are arguably the fittest athletes, relatively, in any competition.

People have no idea how difficult this is. It’s so wonderful to watch them… their timing, ability and energy are incredible!! 😊❤

To ensure they stay in sync with each other and the music, underwater speakers are installed in the pool.
These speakers play the music both above and below the water, allowing the swimmers to hear the music clearly and stay synchronized with their routine.
@@user-dh2fs8nd5wMaybe so, but sound does not travel as well and as fast through water, so there would be a small lag translating between the 2 mediums. It would seem that hours of practicing plus their inner "clocks" keep them in sync, much like a group of musicians playing together without written music or a conductor.
