- Kenya Airways was forced to divert flights at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Saturday night, due to heavy rains and poor visibility. The national carrier has also warned of possible delays in departures from JKIA due to poor visibility caused by the torrential downpour on Saturday night. The flight disruption came at the same time as the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) announced that all vehicles must use the main gate at JKIA to enter and exit the airport indefinitely.
Next rainy season it will be the same song and choir!
And so many died in Kenya
The fertiliser was fake btw. They were giving people government sacks filled with sand
You will hear them saying it's the mistake of the last regime (Uhuru regime)🤔🤭😜🤣
Well all his plains are there so I don’t think he is happy. At least they can bail out KQ for the 9th
😂😂😂😂🎉
Flooding I can understand due to cause of nature... happens erywhere in the world. However, roofs leaking is just unacceptable
Where are you?
Even Dubai airport was like this this April
Dubai is a dsert country and it wasnt long rains it was a storm
What is this CS talking about (Minimum repairs). It sounds ridiculous when almost everyone in the world knows Kenya Airways is one of the most expensive airline in the world and the services are not the best.
Kenya Airways doesn't own or run JKIA, it's their hub but they pay fees to the government to use that airport as their base of operations just like any other airline based there. How does their ticket price factor into repairs of an airport run by Kenya Airports Authority? - a port authority uses tax payer money as well as fees they charge to airlines and travellers to run a port of entry like an airport. Your comment makes zero sense.
The government is doing nothing.... nothing at all, instead of fixing roads and drainage systems they are postponing reopening of schools and businesses, so the learning of our children will be postponed because of something that could have been avoided if they were just serious. All they care about is fertiliser and other irrelevant things during this period.
Leaking roofs in the airport?? Are you serious? Such a shame
So tuseme pia jkia Iko Kwa waterway 😳😳😳
Remind us of how many billions and how many years were wasted on this scam of an airport?
Hongera Tanzania kwa maendeleo ,tunaona mambo kwa jirani
Done for Praying and back to Normal kenya temperature Back to sunset ❤ and normal day.❤
But Dubai hainyeshi ndani ya office za Airport
The area at Jomo that is shown is not for passanger travel it is the cargo apron.
ok so you mean someone went and fetched water poured it near the planes and took video !!! bro this rain visited me at weekend and it was no joke it knows how to get at every corner of the house just say it was at the airport all over.
Good thing we don't have rain coupled with hurricanes or tornadoes. Things could have turned worse. But our hearts go to those who are suffering. Sorry.
Plan?????

How is President helping those affected by floods?
Pia Dubai ni modomo, talk positive about you're country ,even in usa kuko na tonados mbaya it's climate change.
Yes its nature. But they were warned about this weather and did nothing about the roof situation!
Poor governance 😢
we have plans AKA tumetenga...
God have mercy
Dubai way..then unaskia serikali serikali. It's nature
It's not nature. We must take accountability here, Dubai is located in a desert. To them such rain is "unnatural" obviously their infrastructure wasn't prepared for such. But am sure they will fix it. But for us, it happens every single time, and just like my toilet the same shit will happen again. Why, because people are simply refusing to take accountability, and the really sad part is that people like you will see all this destruction and defend incompetence just because they have a personal gain or "Mtu wetu"complex. Then we wonder why developed countries look down at us and call us backward and other nonsense. When comments like yours are read based on historical data. African will remain being looked upon like savages from the rest of the world. Think like a Kenyan and call out bullshit when you see it regardless of who is in power. In that way we can prosper and be better. My friend, let's be better.
They said they went to Kampala Uganda to pray for the rain to come to Kenya the rain came but now see the results some people are not supposed to pray for the others anything they touch it ends up a mess .
My kenya 😂😂😂😂😂😂 i love n'a najivunia kuwa mkenya 😢😢😢

something shameful,where is murkomen kipchumba
The president leaves the country and goes overseas amidst a natural disaster, what is so important overseas or what kind of overseas engagement that is overwhelmingly important than staying in your country and providing leadership in a time of extreme need or what kind of meeting is so dire that the stakeholders would not understand if you cancel the trip or participate via something like zoom so that you don't leave the country in a time of need? The president has been advised that there is a high possibility that there is going to be heavy rainfalls that would cause a disaster and despite that he gets in the plane and leaves the country for foreign trips. Other leaders cancel or cut short their foreign trips, holidays overseas or any missions overseas to rush back into the country to provide leadership but not Ruto!
What foreign trip is so important not to be cancelled so that he's available to provide solutions to his country during a natural disaster?
The president leaves the country during a natural disaster, that's the kind of leadership you have in Kenya!! Even the other leaders are shocked that he's overseas doing meetings with them while his country is undergoing a serious natural disaster!!
In this case Ruto had several options but he chose the worst option! For example instead of leaving the country during a disaster, he should have something like a zoom meeting so that he can still participate in those meetings without leaving the country!
Ruto is a not a competent leader and he has failed Kenyans at every disaster not just this one as he seems to prefer to escape the country during the time of need! Ruto is the poster boy for poor and incompetent leadership!

National Repentance is demanded by the LORD JEHOVAH YAHWEH and HIS MEGA ANCIENT ANOINTED MOST DREADFUL PROPHET. Dr. David Owuor. All must obey across Kenya and across the earth
We are being punished by God 🤔🤭
Lol😅 nothing punishment rain is blessing let the universe do is work
Why are we punished? .rain is a blessing from God .poor drainage and poor urban planning are the cause of floods.
If God punished us like this. What did we do wrong? Wasn't the president appointed by God? Isn't his name on the first line of our anthem? Stop blaming imaginary supernatural powers . We did this, it is not a miracle. Fix drainage, plan for emergencies. so much will be saved if we only use our human brains. We sit and pray for miracles. At this point even God can't help us. We fall in the same hole every single time, every single year and do nothing. Then still blame him for punishing us. We have to take ourselves at fault here, we as Kenyans. We must do better.
Shame.
Shameful
This punk must leave office
