this is litteraly a build i was looking for.. hoped on YT and saw this guide, thanks. a question, is it viable for " casual" pve aswell?? starting out aternum today... like many others. Trying to get a build going with flail + BB. or replacing 1 for GS. not sure... thanks for content!
This guide was made a long time ago. I think there have been alot of changes to the weapons since this. But I bet the build is still pretty viable yeah! Just experiment with it, have fun in Aeternum 💯💯
Thank you! I probably won't make any guides for new world anytime soon. I've decided to take a break from the game untill they add some new pvp content. I imagine the heavy set from the new expedition would be a good choice though
You mentioned you're thinking of running Invigorated as your third perk on armor to counter dots eating away at you. Wouldn't you want to run Vigor? Vigor reduces the duration of Bleeds, Burn, and Poison effects. Whereas Invigorated reduces the duration of Rend, Weaken, Exhaust, and Disease; which aren't dot effects from what I understand.
I have not tried it. I'm seeing people claim it is bugged and not giving the extra armor or not all of it so I didn't bother with it quite yet. In any case I think it wouldn't be better than tumblers. Another option is michael shield though, Michael is still a great option, especially since dots are such a difficult thing to deal with.
@@jiggyspice6809Ah oke, thank you. I will try it when i get the other pieces together. Also I just seen somebody testing the voidplate and apparently it just shows the wrong numbers, but if you relog it shows them correctly, so it is probably working
Its working, just buggy UI. And the benefit isnt just the pure armor, its working incredible with fortify buffs. There is an theorycrafter video explaining why. But you can reach absurd defensive stats because of that.
Hi Jiggy, thank you for the awesome build. This was already asked, but I don't think was answered. Is this build viable without pestilence? If yes, what perks would you choose for a regular BB?
Oh yeah I should have mentioned it in the video. That is 100% viable option. And for something like war I might run michael instead of tumblers. Maybe even in OPR. Michael is a super strong choice for sure!
I use Michael in a very similar build (I am medium, no SH at all and I focus more on leeching perks with Ankh). It's absolutely viable and disgusting in 3v3 and open world/OPR. I've thought about trying heavy, as that's what I used to run with my old BB/WH build and always felt the 10% medium damage boost wasn't worth losing all the defense for, but the new medium dodge is really nice and I quite like how tanky I am anyway. I am still likely to try a heavy build version of this though, mainly because then I can go 150 con instead of 200 and just go full on 300/150 for str/int and do really nasty damage (current build is 300/65/50/200 or thereabouts). I just find it difficult to give up Michael's dot removal so sticking with that instead of Tumbler and shirking heals.
Yeah SH is pretty useless now unfortunately. I'm keeping the gear because I don't want to waste my gold recrafting. But I wouldn't recommend sh anymore
I'm looking for building this set, but with Void Dark Plate Chest and mixing 2 Ele Avers, 2 Shirking Fort, 2 Enchated Ward, 2 Invigorated, 2 Refreshing , 2 Health and Nades on Armor. Do u think is a good combo? For Earring i wanna use something like Fortifying Toast, Regen and maybe one refreshing or Refreshing toast. For amulet just a Named one with Thrust protection and Stamina rec. The ring is the same still with leeching and fire damage. LMK
That does sound really good! However I want to mention, next patch you can get a free heavy set with illegal perk combo of ele aversion and ench ward. It's going to be reaally good. Then you can just change final perk to shirking fort. For amulet fire protection might still be the better option rather than trust but you gotta make that call. Always protect against what you have much trouble against. On my server bb/FS is more of a problem than vg/bow. And I anticipate most bows next patch will run the elemental bow. Void dark plate is probably still going to be the best option for chest though
@jiggyspice6809 👋 Hey, Yep, it sounds really good and ye I know about this gear, but it's named so u can still gonna have problem with magnify if u wanna 300-150-150. Also are u sure u can add SF perk on them as last one? Normally u can't add a defensive perk when u already have one. Also with this meta should I still go the same perk as u on Flail and maybe add plagued crits?
Shrapnel blast and splitting grenades are fire attacks. They make out 70% of your DMG so it's worth boosting. And since this is not a high int build you will get more DMG from opal than ruby in the weapon
Hey, I'm gonna try out this build also, what about the light FS/BB build with Shirking heals? After this nerf are u still gonna use it or just go fire harnessing and ele aversion?
The FS/BB build still feels the same if im being honest. Not much changed. For ranged players its easy. Melee is tougher in this current meta. Self sustain is gutted to the ground so if you want to play without a healer you are going to have to min/max your survivability and sustain as a melee or close range player.
health is too expensive for me to even want to suggest that to my viewers, it's absolutely not good enough of a perk to be that expensive. and it isn't bis either. The extra healing it would give your shirking heal is less than 200 so it doesn't give value. I have 5x health on my light set and it really doesn't do much.
2 questions - will you still run SH after the next nerf when they change the heal type to self heal and therefore ankh doesn’t work? I’m still far off get ankh as well - so I guess I’ll have to use endless thirst And for pestiliance - if I can’t get it anytime soon, and I use ODO instead - what perks should I get on the BB?
SH will always be a strong perk and even if they nerf the synergy between ankh and SH it will still be a BiS perk. The only way I will stop running it is if they buff potions back to how they were pre-expansion. Ankh is always going to be bis for group play and mass pvp as well so you definitely do want to go get it. Endless thirst is a decent option though. If you dont want to run pestilence and just run a normal BB I think the bis would be attun, ench, keenly jagged or something along those lines. that would be a pure dps BB

Why did you decide to get the boots instead of Michael?
They are just overall better if your running shirk heals.
Do we still think this build works with the SH nerfs again in the PTR if so what perks would you go for now?
The new heavy set from the new dungeon will be BiS now!!
So good news at least it's free
@@jiggyspice6809 Ele aversion, enchanted ward and.. ? health? :o why is it bis mate? Im kinda new and loving ur build

Do you think it's worth losing one shirking heals, using a different kite shield. And using void darkplate instead for the 20% armor?
@@Bradley-t7g I would put SH on the voidplate
Of those 3 would you recommend one over the other? If you don't use tumblers..

Why kite but not tower
Kite shield has the passive effect with flail to give it a stagger. With a tower we dont have that
