- This is a short discussion about why EVPN-VXLAN is as it is and advice on how to get to grips with this technology.
Please note: This is not a tutorial, that's to come.
@joeneville_
The best video that clears up confusion with all these terminology and technology stack. Now I pretty much understand, that EVPN is just a successor of MPLS based L2VPN/L3VPN and that VXLAN can work on itself by just manual setup or multicast flood-and-learn. Thanks, much appreciated!
Great explanation !
Nice presentation. Clear, concise and we'll researched!
excellent presentation
Another good one Joe
Thanks Simon 🙏
Excellent Tutorial on EVPN VXLAN .. Great work Joe
Thanks, George 🙏
Nice preso, like the quick fire approach. 👍
Excellent explanation. inspiring stuff.
Concept is always important tks for the video..did you try type5 evpn on ArubaCX lab image or Hardware
Thanks, I’ve been using hardware, 6300s, and I’ve observed RT-5s. Not done any in-depth work with traffic flows to prefixes only, rather than hosts, but that is coming.
Great content
Do you see EVPN+VXLAN as a good fit for campus access + aggregation vs a standard topology?
East West is the focus with Spine leaf topology. I'd think more data center focused.
Not really. It is more DC oriented, where you have horizontal traffic going back and forth between numerous virtual machines.
brilliant
I should prob learn this for fun..I'm not exposed to these type of technologies yet but it could open some doors.
Nice video, but you got to slow down a bit .. you went a mile a minute
Thanks, tt was a quick-fire talk to discuss how the history of EVPN can inform how one learns the technology. The aim isn't to delve into the details but cover the discussion points at a high level. More in-depth tutorials are coming in the future.
Slowing the video down to .75 helps
