The Pepeknd shotguns are not trash, you can still (STILL!) double pump, but yeah they should fix the aiming with the stupid bloom/RNG. (not that aim matters anyway if all you do is build)
I really hope they don’t nerf the mat capacity. Like daequan said the building aspect is what made this game successful. It’s fun learning to build, getting faster and building, and learning techniques to outbuild/combat other players. There’s obviously a skill gap in this game but we all started not knowing how to play and build etc. Keep it how it is epic, the games already dope

Games stay in beta for years as an excuse to any issue that comes up. While it definitely needs fixing in spots, the shotgun nerf was stupid, nerfing material gathering was stupid, buffing explosives was a cool thought but far too strong (and coincidentally nerfed building from always getting knocked down), and if they nerf building again it'll be stupid as well. Just look at all the angry replies in the comments here. The majority of players don't was nerfs to building (if anything they want buffs). This game was built around the building mechanics and it'll be a god awful game without them.

Hey Epic, you want new or bad players to have a fighting chance, then make a gamemode where people with less than 10 wins are grouped together, people with 50 or less wins are grouped, ect. That way new players will play with new players and gradually get better. Ffs you can give Dae a gray pistol and he will still shit on bad players with gold everything and 1000000 mats.

What makes the game fun is the fact that you can win any fight in the game because of building! In my opinion fortnite should bring in tutorials for new players on how to gather resources and teach them how to build simple structures so they can jump in to a match with an understanding on how to win the game.

Am I the only one who actually realizes we the community control what they do with updates.... it's simple Epic Games is just like any company, if we don't agree with the update then we as a community have to agree to boycott playing. Daily player numbers would drop, their profit margens would drop. causing them to revoke the update. It's called supply and demand. If Epic ruins the game we love. This is why fortnite can’t be a competitive game. Epic keeps on making it easier for shitty players to find ways to kill good players, they nerfed mats, made first shot accuracy, buffed miniguns and other bullshit weapons that can’t be outbuilt especially with them nerfing mats again. I think they should go back to the good old days when good players were good players did not get BSed and when bad players grew as everyone else grew.

Mats//Building is the one thing that fortnite was kinda known for. The thing that made it more unique; different from games like h1z1 and pubg. You take out mats, and the overall prospect of building, and fortnite is screwed. Mats are the one thing that doesn't need balancing; and also is very delicate. Epic have to be careful tweaking the mats

This game is like a fighting game, for new comers it's hard as fuck to start and I guess a lot of players are leaving because of this (casual audience) so epics attempt to keep them stay is to buff mini gun, explosives, bring the drum gun, so they can just use there no skill and just spray and pray. They nerf shotguns because shift+w warriors that are good land straight heads ending battles quick, this also eliminates a lot of rng because back then u can one shot someone with 200 health giving u a chance to have a somewhat fair fight against everyone but now the person with more health is more likely gonna win.

They should put the mat caps at 750, but buff wood gathering by 1.25x, brick by 1.75x and metal by 2.5x. That way it forces you to gather other types of mats.

I honestly don't get why they want to close the skill gap by nullifying building because of it's increasing number of counter options. tbh, a rocket/grenade launcher should be doing less damage, like 50-70 or so. And C4 got buffed too hard aswell. And if they keep adding guns like the drum gun, that just melt through building, there is no need to train to get wins.

Verachez shotguns were strong but doesn’t mean it needed to be nerfed to what it is now. It’s a shotgun, it’s supposed to do hella damage close af. It takes accuracy and skill to get hits and In reward to that, you deal a lot of damage. Sure ppl can come to the argument and say “well losers were getting lucky when they would 1 pump me” but ya, shit happens, ppl get no scoped by luck too. You don’t nerf snipers. Snipers take skill and accuracy and in reward you can 1 shot ppl. Same with shotguns. Fortnite is killing itself.
