Honestly, this is the VERY 1st Pokemon game ever that I actually finished the Pokedex, I was always disappointed I could never finish the Dex in older games cuz I needed these crazy things called "friends", never heard of these tools, tried to make some, didn't work out, turns out I'm what the kids call "weird"...Thank you Gamefreak for making something I could hide away for 2 weeks, not sleep, not talk to anyone, not eat, but have SOOOOOOO much fun being addicted to a Pokemon drug, *OWW* I mean game.

When I did have friends none of them played Pokémon bc they were too “cool” or something I’m a 24 yr old and still love this game lost interest throughout the X Y and sun and moon eras
But this game is amazing
And I’ve also never completed one Pokémon dex so can relate to that
Pokémon sapphire and platinum were my favourite my brother had them on gameboy advance and grew up on that
Then we got the switch and I’m loving the new games!!!
I just need spiritomb to complete the dex

I loved they reused the pattern on the floor of the Arceus arena from when they created the newborn pokemon in Heart Gold/Soul Silver. Good attention to detail

Cherubi was the biggest pain for me. I spent so long trying to find them and then the moment that I got to research 10 there was a Cherubi outbreak. I was quite upset.
Happen to me looking ages for one for the quest called to bloom or not to bloom after i completed the quest suddenly there was an outbreak of cherub i also got the research at 10 cus i like to get the research done before i evolve the pokemon
you only get outbreaks of pokemon you already caught

If they do dlc, which feels like a strong possibility, I think they should add an Alpha Charm.

its cool that this game kinda made it canon that Arceus can use Roar of Time, Spacial Rend and Shadow Force. that really makes it seem even more like its the creator and god of Pokemon

I feel bad for John, his chat was really annoying, it's hard to deal with the pressure of thousands of people spamming: Do ThIs, dO tHe OtHeR tHiNg, hAiL YeAh, ChAd etc... It wasnt a good chat experience

This has been such a fun journey to follow along with. Congrats on the completion of getting Arceus. And it was a shame seeing Slim reaper leave the team but he won't be forgotten

If it make you feel any better, it took me 3 hours to take down Arceus (I always restarted the battle after losing) and I get the feeling I'm not alone.
I didn't even consider to do it like that. I did with keep health bar... I will never do this fight again. xD
@@KarlaO711 Got to give The John Guy props. He restarted after losing and it only took him like 15-20 minutes. That's actually really impressive.

Yeah its fun to see people who mainly play Pokemon and turn based rpgs take a crack at this type of game
Its been a few months and i still havent beaten this fight
... When defeated, you could have picked "Resume", and then not only would you be back at "full health", but you would keep your progress with "quelling the frenzy"... It's the ONLY reason I was able to complete my fight.
Do I feel like I took the easy way out? Yes.
Do I feel guilty? Yes and no.
Do I regret it? No. That fight was HARD. And as fun as the game was, I just wanted to complete a Pokemon game beyond the main storyline for once... and I have other things to worry about in my life (unfortunately) without this game distracting me.
I think im gonna do the same.. Its been over a week and i couldnt defeat him🤦 I want to finish the main storyline and after hunt for shinies😁

When you're battling Arceus, don't go to the middle of the arena or he's gonna explode to you

The Arceus fight is so much like a Kingdom Hearts bossfight
Finally got around to fighting Arceus so I can watch this video now. Also Oh my god this fight took me so many tries
7:11 Arceus (Arkoos for MandJTV Fans) is your average middle/high schooler. It fights you after breaking your phone. I don't know why, but that made me die of laughter making that connection.
Arceus has every ability from every noble pokemon
I swear I got lucky with an easy version of this fight. It took me 3 attempts and I only ever saw 4 attacks. The blue shock waves with meteors, the judgement attack, the purple orbs he charges and the huge purple area attack where you gotta get close to him. I never saw the dash through the cracks, the blue charged orbs, the multiple arceus on the blue area attack or anything else.
Anyways, well done mate!
i love the fact arceus used mechanics from all of the fights including giritina
During Volo's pokemon battle, you hear Cynthia's battle theme from Diamond and Pearl, and maybe platinum.
It’s so much easier if you use ZL targeting and the Arceus boss battle takes different mechanics from the other noble fights such as the arcanine nuke and every attack is telegraphed perfectly. Sound design is also fantastically telegraphed so you know when to dodge roll
I gotta say tho pretty impressive he did most if not the entire game without using the target lock button. And I have no idea if John doesn't know if it exists or he just refuses to use it ya know "pro-gamer move"
Had to share this. My 8yo daughter who has been playing pokemon for 1 month just started playing Sword last night. This morning she low key caught a full odds shiny corphish. I saw the sparkle out of the corner of my eye but shiny corphish is pretty subtle so I wasn't sure until I looked at the summary. She asked me if she should even bother catching it, I said yes, she had a TR for waterfall and now it's a monster.
Fyi I've been playing since gen 3 and have NEVER caught a fill odds shiny.

Did you use arceus and saw what type Judgement was? Cause when you have arceus, judgement will always be super effective as well as changing Arceus into that type
It's because of an absolutely broken item called Legend Plate
It will transform Arceus and Judgement into whatever type is super effective against its opponent
im glad your making videos too sometimes in streams i dont enjoy them because they are so long while your videos have great editing and are engaging

Fun fact, you didn’t have to do research level 10 or get more than one Unown to challenge Arceus
You only need to just catch one of every Pokémon, you honestly don’t need to complete ANY Pokédex entry

You know what else is ironic you can continue the balm fights as i call them by just clicking the option continue fight

It took me 2 hours to beat and catch Arceus…my hands were so cramped from clutching the console and I was cursing like a sailor the whole time. I figured out it’s first round of attacks fairly quickly but when it started fucking disappearing and then glass dimension breaking out of nowhere I almost threw my switch at the wall. The only other boss battle that I had trouble with while playing the game was Arcanine.
Me just 3 attempts is not a really hard battle
@@SetsoLeo, It is when you are not used to having to dodge and move about, as well as having to time said dodges. The only games I have ever played were the main series Pokémon games and when this one came out it is a different experience because of the fact you have to worry about the Pokémon directly attacking you.

It makes me laugh that the pose that Arceus assumes when it's firing off the energy rings and shooting meteors is very much the position that male horses stand in when they piss.

To be honest I just straight up said to my friend who asked me why I bought legends arceus I said : I wanted to command god he was so confused when I said that 💀💀💀
I think the only boss that gave me a harder time than Arceus was The Radiance from Hollow Knight.
Anyone else heard of "charms" in the game? Do they give you more health or something? I'm curious. Someone mentioned them but never elaborated.
Charms are bought from the old lady next to the shrine near the combat training area in town. All charms go into your inventory when purchased. Survival Charm gives you more "hit points" when you (Not your Pokemon.) are taking damage, i.e. it makes you harder to be knocked out by Pokemon attacking you. The Warding Charm keeps you (Again, not your Pokemon.) from being effected by status conditions from getting hit by Pokemon (You can't be poisoned, etc although I believe some effects can still "stun" you.). The Tempting Charm works a little different. If you ARE knocked out while it is in your inventory, it destroys itself but you do not lose the contents of your satchel the way you normally would if you got KO'ed. You can buy more from the old lady.

I started watching this series at the beginning of Nov 9 & finished it all the way through at 30th Nov. This is the 2nd playthrough of LA that I got to the end from the start. The 1st was Mandjtv's, it's cuz his playthrough mostly contained of highlights & heavily shortened down to few episodes than it needed to be.

you know in the anime pokemon lore the temple is destroyed by Arceus’ rage
Imagine being a Pokemon trained for so long as a starter and then have to fight God because your master told you to that must be so scary
At 130 hours I have Done ALL Side quests. All pokemon and up to level 10. All Unknown. All 20 of those hidden passages of those poems. Game at 100% complete. :) I am not usually a 100% guy. not even in pokemon games. But this one I enjoyed getting to.
If they add rayquaza I don't care how much money it costs I'm getting it

This fight took me 3 hours
They used all boss battles into arceus klevor is the rush litligant is the ground wave arcinine is the fire after metors avalug is judgement the dialga fight is the metors electrode is the red area
I didn't even see half of these attacks and I didn't even know he could change types mid battle. Bruh I had it easy apparently and it was still hard as hell

My bet is that if they do make a DLC it will either be they make their first Pokémon League, OR add another region. If so they should add Kalos because at the beginning of the game the clothes you wear are the same ones you wear in the Kalos game.

Before I beat Volo I finished the research level before you can get the weather genies and that. Then I beat Volo.
Fun fact the arceus he gives you is just a piece of arceus not actually true arceus so in truth nobody has beaten god but just a part of him

There is a origin form for dialga and palkia.
I think if you complete all side quests arceus starts at a quarter health either that or my game glitches when I fought him
I think it glitched like mines did bc I took me like 30 tries or something and at one point I only have a quarter left to go, but it also did the extra hard attacks bc of that. Idk how John did it in five
John saying mo-key instead of mo-chi really irritates me but I can deal with it every thing will be fine

PokeMEN7 you have to get level 10 on every pokemon for shiny charm
You know you didn't have to do the research level 10 stuff right? You just had to catch em all. Doing that will increase your shiny odds though so good for long term content
My pokemon legends arceus game has a glitch when I go to get arceus it only have two yellow bars on it but if I restart the battle I have all yellow bars
........theres a run button.
Just continue the battle with Arces
