My father had a second hand Fiat; changed its engine to Jaya Deisil engine and comfortably used till 2001. 2c). I am using Wagon R since 2013, which made about 90 thousand kms only. 3). Unfortunately, our politicians represents Auto industry, not a common middle class people. 4a). 90% of middle class people upgrade from a two wheeler to car to travel with family together and occasionally to commute from home to office, particularly during monsoon. 4b).They run their cars barely 500-800km in a month due to budget constraints. And most of them barely cross 1.2 Lakh kms. in 15 years. 5). Therefore,Privately owned Vehicles should be scrapped only after it's engine makes designed milage. Or becomes beyond economic repairs.

I had to change my Toyota Innova and replace it with a new car because it had completed 10 years. Though I'm in Punjab but since i have to travel often to the NCR i was compelled to change my car. To the best of my understanding this policy was designed to help the auto industry.
Such rules will demolish the economy of India. Logically if the cars are in good health there is no use of scraping the cars. If this is not stored new buyers will be discouraged against buying the cars. People will drop the idea of possessing the cars. This will collapse the car Market. Eventually the government and Indian car Mafia will fall. This rule (scrapping) is a great stupidity. Of the cars which are not polluting the environment are scrapped is the great loss of energy invested in manufacturing those cars. This is double stupidity. I don't know what kind of advisors are with the government who recommended such rubbish ideas. On other hand the bad roads are also responsible for the increase in pollution. You seem to have answered for commercial vehicles. There hasn't been any changes for private vehicles. FYI, there are only 8 states across India where fitness Centers are for 15 years old vehicle and that too for commercial . No fitness is done for private. I think scrap policy remains same for 15 years private cars. P.S. do add or correct me if I am missing on anything.

ज्यादातर लोग अपनी गाड़ी को लोकल ही चलाते है। और 10 साल पुरानी गाड़ी,15 साल पुरानी गाड़ी को ज्यादातर लोग बहुत अच्छा मेंटेन करके रखते हैं। कई गाड़ियां तो कुल 30000 से 40000किलोमीटर भी नही चली है।

I had to change my Toyota Innova and replace it with a new car because it had completed 10 years. Though I'm in Punjab but since i have to travel often to the NCR i was compelled to change my car.
To the best of my understanding this policy was designed to help the auto industry.

Such rules will demolish the economy of India. Logically if the cars are in good health there is no use of scraping the cars. If this is not stored new buyers will be discouraged against buying the cars. People will drop the idea of possessing the cars. This will collapse the car Market. Eventually the government and Indian car Mafia will fall. This rule (scrapping) is a great stupidity. Of the cars which are not polluting the environment are scrapped is the great loss of energy invested in manufacturing those cars. This is double stupidity.
I don't know what kind of advisors are with the government who recommended such rubbish ideas.
On other hand the bad roads are also responsible for the increase in pollution. Battery cars also put lots of pollution while manufacturing batteries and thereafter disposal of the exhausted batteries.
Recycling the car material is also polluting process.

You seem to have answered for commercial vehicles. There hasn't been any changes for private vehicles. FYI, there are only 8 states across India where fitness Centers are for 15 years old vehicle and that too for commercial . No fitness is done for private. I think scrap policy remains same for 15 years private cars.
P.S. do add or correct me if I am missing on anything.
Bring same policy as uk needs fitness of vehicles not age get fitness test every year the oldest cars in good condition very expensive 👍 like 1918 car costs u more than new mercedes ❤❤❤
