Savour the Serenity of an Early Morning Walk in the Cotswold Village of Ebrington || ENGLAND

- So, today we are out and about walking in the village and civil parish of Ebrington (also known as Yabberton by locals) which is located in the county of Gloucestershire, England. The village is approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) from Chipping Camden. According to the 2011 census the village population stood at 570.
The parish church is dedicated to Saint Eadburga. Although the church is mainly perpendicular in shape it still retains some Norman work in the north and south doorways. The church is Grade I listed.
There is just one OAAW logo placed within this video. See if you can spot it! If you do please let us know but don't give away it's location so that others can have a go at finding it - thanks!

Simply said.....this walk was heaven on earth!!!! I threw myself right in there. This is my dream place, my dream that sustains me and one which I will turn into my reality. Stunningly perfect. Another glorious peaceful walk; helps you forget the chaos of life. Splendid roses, vines, beautiful old stone cottages, those little gates in the landscape, birds chirping. The sounds of nature in their full early morning glory! It sure was a long walk; are you keeping track of your steps? Surely no less than 10,000! Always curious how you keep the camera (or phone) so steady! How lovely you share these spectacular walks with us all, and I am sure grateful for that. Slightly cooler in Colorado, but I can’t walk to return to the UK quite soon. Till your next video 👋🏻

Buttercups and morning dew drops ( great title for something). The flowers at 24:14 are gorgeous! I assume they are tulips, though I`m not sure, but I love the shape and colour of them. Of course I had been waiting for this video and it doesn`t disappoint. Stanton is still my favorite village, but Ebrington is definitely Top 3 now. It`s an absolutely stunning village. I hope the people who live there realize how lucky they are, being surrounded by so much beauty. Thank you for yet another wonderful and inspirational walk. 🌷
I think the flowers are buttercups. They are wild flowers. I don’t think tulips grow wild in the UK.

Well, you've done it again! The Tythe Barn in Ebrington was our very first cottage rental in the Cotswolds and the start of our captivation with this beautiful area.
We spent many wonderful hours in the Ebrington Arms pub at the bottom of the hill. Thank you for this beautiful reminder of such a magical holiday in a village straight out of a fairytale❤

Quelle magnifique randonnée et quel joli village fleuri et bien entretenu. Tout est merveilleux au petit matin la lumière est exceptionnelle. As is usually the case, I caught your video the day after it was posted. (Mondays I work, and then have music rehearsals in the evening- so it’s too busy to savor a virtual walk). I propped this one up on my desk today as I wrote a letter, and was able to enjoy it the same way one would enjoy doing desk work on a porch by a lovely garden, or in front of a picture window overlooking scenery. (I could view it even as I was writing). This was another lovely walk! The beginning stroll on the grassy path through the field was especially appealing….reminded me of walking on my friend’s farmland, which I enjoy so much. The flowers in the sunlight at around 8 minutes were really spectacular, as the sun almost seemed to gild them! Morning sunlight has such a luminous and beautiful quality to it! I also noticed that stiles are a truly excellent method of scaling fences….much beats climbing over them, I am sure. You have the technique well learned. I was amazed at the good price for eggs at the stand you passed by….did a quick google search to see how British pounds convert to US dollars, and that is a lot less than we pay for eggs around here! Can you mail a dozen to me?! (Just kidding, obviously). 🥚
The interesting figures on that one roof at around 38 minutes caught my attention….looked like two goats jousting. As always, the houses you passed were well-kept and attractive.

It is actually nice to receive some comments the day after a video is posted because for the first 24 hrs there is usually a steady flow of comments but then after that they almost stop as quickly as when they first started. This seems to be the way it works on YT.

I certainly don’t mind your asking about others’ inquiries when I was watching the walk- but I was actually at home when I was viewing it whilst writing the letter:) My work involves giving non-medical assistance to elderly and handicapped folks, so I am never at a desk while working, but am on my feet most of the time. (I really love my job!). That is why I must wait to be home when I wish to watch the walks. I have often thought that your walks (and other people’s virtual walks that are similar to yours- both from the UK and from other places) would be great in waiting rooms at medical offices and in hospitals. We have certainly sat in plenty of those in recent years, and I have frequently wished that I could turn the wall-mounted tv set off, as the programs that were on were either boring or irritating. (Do they have TVs on in medical offices over in the UK, too- or are these ubiquitous tv sets just an American thing?) I think a nice nature walk would be a great thing to have on at such places- especially as people who are in the waiting rooms are often stressed out because of medical problems that they or family members are having. I am surprised that no one has thought of this idea.
Have a good week. We have our Independence day holiday tomorrow- and I know that your country has an election on that day (though I have not read any particulars regarding that).

@janetryan9779 ah right I see. For some reason I had visualised in my minds eye that you work in a busy office environment possibly marketing (don't why marketing came to mind!).
That is great work that you do and very rewarding in the sense that you are helping others.
I think that would be a great idea for medical sites to have nature walks or scenes playing on screens whilst folk wait to be seen. I believe some medical offices here do have screens but I think they might be for information purposes. Fortunately it has been many years since I last sat in a Dr's office.

Isn’t it funny how we often picture what people do, look like, where they live, etc.- and then find out otherwise from what we had thought? :) Your reference to marketing brought a smile, as my personality is such that the only person I could possibly have sold something to would have been my mother, who is no longer with us! I would be an apologetic, understanding marketing person, saying “well, don’t worry if you can’t afford to buy this, that’s okay, etc…”. Pleasant to others, but not very effective in business! : D No, I am happy in my niche at present (and it’s only part-time). We will gather with family and watch fireworks for the holiday. The latter aren’t really my cup of tea, but if children are present (and they will be), it’s always fun to see their wonder and excitement at the explosions of color in the night sky.
Glad you are healthy- and walking must help you greatly in maintaining that health. Good health is a blessing that I never take for granted, as I see many others who are unwell.

Delicioso y refrescante paseo por Ebrington. un pueblo con muchas cosas maravillosas que apreciar. Sus casas, cada una en su estilo tienen esa bella arquitectura que me fascina. Hoy pudimos ver diversidad de flores en todo el recorrido, llenas de vida y decorando cada rincón con sus alegres colores y formas. Powerfully unique intro, a fox's perspective! All your nature closeups are compelling (& quintessential Cotswold) It's the best way of life. For Earth AND humans. Unbridling nature, mixing everything together, blooming from every crack & crevice with minimal hindrance. You're absolutely right, Ebring is of the Shire & Hobbits doth live here. The Churches (every one we visited in fact) how one can see straight through a window & through the other side's window without obstruction. You know what happened to me, not long after we met? I've contracted the minimalist bug & slowly room by room by vehicle by outbuildings I'm clearing out "the past" looking forward to today & the future. My brain is actually hooraying for the open peace. Now, me yard and English garden be opposite, overgrown and gorgeous. Well.....even Nature clears her attics come Winter, no? You know, I noticed that one yard, and ask if anyone can tell me how to mow stripes and plaids liken that! So cool! Welp, another thing? I can say I saw 🐎s, but I didn't even chase down 🚶, a GOOD thing, for the village was the prize, not the tag. You did VERY GOOD Sir🕶️. I wonder how many others have caught contagions; it'd been fun to know. ❤️always

Where did we first meet? Was it in Eastleach? Minimal living is not a bad thing at all. I need to declutter but I can’t find anywhere the size of a football pitch to store it all 🤣. Whenever I see the sun setting on the horizon I cannot help but wonder…I wonder what tomorrow will bring.

It was the Churches', so reverent and important, if they can handle less is more so can I.... Nope, I'm not relying on 📦-ing the un-never-used (oh but NOT sentimentals which really are few & far between), my 🗑️ & twice-weekly 🗑️🚛 is rendering aid, well, there's another side, I have only 1 offspring who's where "the buck stops" so-to-speak and I'd be embarrassed for him to close the book finding a horrible mess of....stuff from an century he wasn't exactly part of... & hasn't an offspring himself to pawn it off on. Just being sensible, eventually the 🗑️🚛 will get it anyway.... Let you know if 🚶 is still "glued" somewhere. 🙃
