Whoa. That sounds awesome. I love and appreciate your full-length videos, having discovered them relatively recently. But sometimes it's also nice just to get down to the nitty gritty, as it were, and hear how something sounds. Like others have said, I look forward to having both options.

I really enjoy your "Hi I'm Hondo" format so I hope you will continue with those longer reviews. The quick format is ok but often it is the in depth review that is most worthwhile. Cheers. Michael

Oh most definitely will be continuing the long format stuff. They just take soooooo long to make! I wanted to be able to at least get some useful soundclips out to everybody at a quicker pace. Plus I've noticed when a couple weeks go by without me uploading, my engagement takes a nose dive. I'm hoping these shorter vids are useful to you all, and help get the videos out to more people.

I like the short form Hondo, and I also like your reviews which are a little more in depth. Really like your channel and really like that as a personality you are the opposite of "new product hype"!!! Also this and no slap! Perfect!

I like this new format, but I'm glad that your standard format will be continuing too.

Like always, one of the best Bass related reviews/example clips out there!
The pedal itself, I dig the design and the user interface but it seems like another lame version of pedals that already exist. It would be cool to do a series on unknown or overlooked bass drives/PreAmps, like the Pigtronix Bass Fat Drive, which is a superb drive and PreAmp in its own. Thanks for your awesome work💜
    Sending you good vibes 🤙

Thanks for the kind words! There's not another pedal anywhere out there I know of that's designed quite like this, and it's certainly not a clone of anything, so I don't really agree with the "lame version of pedals that exist" thing. Might make more sense after the full review, but this is definitely a special drive. I will look into that pigtronix!

That intro is so sick. Remind me a bit of when the Matrix movies came out, that sorta 'era-timbre'

That's exactly what I was going for! 🤣 glad you dig it!

I like the new format. Of course, I don't want the longer form videos to disappear.

Great clip! I just found out about this pedal, a few minutes ago. Should I rather get this or the Edison preamp? What do you think? (I know, they're not really comparable, but which one do you like better in general? ^^)

Oh man, they are entirely different beasts. This is way more capable of straight up drive sounds. The edison is much more tame and capable of clean stuff. The answer to which one you like best is essentially which thing do you want more: tube texture for cleaning sounds, or straight up raw drive 🤘🏽

@@HondoFelder Thanks for the answer, man! I'll probably have to get both, in the end. XD
