I bought this as a set of 3 direct from china with the 17 and 35 f1.4 for MFT which got me lenshoods for 2 of them all included. I’m really impressed. In film days I was a Pentax user and spent lots of money on Pentax glass which I honestly don’t think was better than these Chinese lenses. Thanks for the review.
Speaking of Pentax, I use Super Takumar lenses...on Canon M3 with a adapter. This one are just as good, if not better. to be honest, which is a pleasant surprise.
@@Athrunwong yes I use some Pentax-M lenses from the MX/ME/ME-Super era on my MFT bodies. Also used adapted Pentax 110 constant aperture lenses they're tiny but fun!
@@simmybear31 Nice, i sweep up those lenses during a yard sale that cost me 30 to 50 bucks a piece which is a absolute steal. i never got any other Canon lens apart from the kit lens, autofocus is awesome and all but if manual is quite a bit fun to use. Got the TT Artisan because i wanted a 1.2, and hasn't regret it. definitely worth the price.
I must say that your videos are among the most enjoyable on YT at the moment. A fresh mix of older and newer, and especially a welcome relief from the “must buy the latest because it’s so awesome….”. Photography to me (and probably a lot of other amateurs) is all about mood and relaxation. I have a bunch of cameras, both digital and film, and all of them have been bought second hand. Usually at decent prices. Most of them, even old digital cameras with less pixels than my quite old iPhone 6s+, gets used now and them, even if there are “better” ones in the cupboard. Some of them are impossible to compare without touching on feel or taste. Many reviewers today are so fixated on detail, dynamic range and speed that they seem to forget that sometimes less really is more. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much and very well said. I think for me as an introvert (INFJ) I’m aware of the specs of everything but I’m much more concerned with the actual feeling I get from things. The majority of my cameras were all feeling-based purchases and not really logical or rational. Whereas I do notice, much like you said, where a lot of modern channels are simply focused on newness and specs.
I can't even thank you for all this great information, that was an amazing video. I mean, it's 4 a.m, I'm tired af, and this just feels really entertaining, Thank you, I will buy it now!
I have the TTArtisan 35 1.4 for less than 100 dollars. It has quickly become my favorite lens, even though I have other Fujinon lenses which cost 8-10x as much.
I think I'm like you and it breaks my heart to think of buying brand new camera gear. Looks good despite that! Looking forward to seeing your next one on the EM1 Mk2. I occasionally shoot the Mk1 & it's just really good fun!
what camera would you suggest to buy on a budget?i want to earn some money as a photogropher and also shoot videos for myself. should i get a better lense and cheaper body or vice versa? i have about 400$ i was thinking about fujifilm x e3, but there's not a lot on the market in my area
You might want to try putting a couple of small pieces of tape of suitable thickness on the lens mount to remove the wobble. I have the same lens but in Sony mount and mine mounts nice and tight.

I have this lens in X mount and it's really good. Punches above it's weight.
Man, I bet that looks good with those Fuji colors too.

I’ve had my eye on that lens for a minute and really like the look of it.
It actually surprised me. I thought it would be pretty good, but I ended up really liking it a lot!

You're doing a fantastic job with this channel. Keep going.
Thanks so much!
Great video. I wish you could do more of those chinease manual focus lenses in the future.
Thanks and I’ll definitely try! I’m really interested in them.

Thanks Cliff! I’ve got the E-M1 Mark II and the Sony ZV-E10 then I’m out of cameras. Lol
Great review
Please a video about the best budget flashes
also have you heard of eye damage that oled-screens may cause? due to shimmering.
what brand is more safe in these terms?
Do you think I can get this for my new R7? I have the EF-R adapter 🙏🏻
Strangely enough I’ve been looking at manual lenses on RUclips for my Sony a7iii, this looks perfect……
This one works in APSC mode and I think they’ve got a few full frame lenses as well. Either way, I’ve been really happy with this lens.
This lens can be used on full frame with a small crop
Adorama sells it new for $98 shipped !

You can get a Canon M6 or a Sony A6000 (used).

Hey, I'm the first to comment. I have a 7Artisans 25mm 1.8. Is this the same company? Never heard of the TT Artisan.
Yep. All of them come from same factory.
@@hoanglong-nv6wv Thanks, I thought that it was yet another new Chinese manufacturer.
@@hoanglong-nv6wv Thanks. Sure wish I'd waited and bought the 1.2 instead of the 1.8. Oh well....
Ttartisan is a scam. Such low performance lenses with horrible CA. The only thing that is good is the appearance.
So what's better for the same price?
