Thanks for sharing. That was a pretty easy RV to walk away from. The delamination on the rear wall would have had me running away lol. RV inspection would have saved this person a whole lot of headache.

Dave Mendoza honestly if money were no option a new Showhauler Super C. Their build quality is excellent and completely custom. Simple mechanism that work and they are small privately owned company. I agree with you this is probably not a good time to buy a production coach although some of the higher end Newmar/Tiffin produce 11-12 coaches a day.

We just acquired a 2004 Itasca Meridian 39K. I was up on the roof and didn't see anything bubbling like that, thank goodness. It's great info to hear an estimate to repair it if and when it becomes necessary. Thanks to James for being forthcoming with that information. Yet another reason to drive from Atlanta to Mesa to have him work on it - it's totally worth the peace of mind to know somebody competent is doing the job right the first time.

I paid a local repair shop here in NC $2500 to replace a roof on a 92 Prowler 5th wheel in 2005. He used rolled aluminum and capped it over the sides. That was a 30 footer. You can figure now it would be double that or more. Much more simpler than dealing with a fiberglass roof with fiberglass side walls. The leak was minor and we caught it early in the process. It was a rubber roof and lasted exactly 12 years. We actually had a higher estimate from a very reputable independent repair facility using the same EDPM material but decided to go with aluminum instead. We bought the camper used. Your prices are reasonable. A lot of work involved in replacing that roof. Thanks again Andrew for ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO.

Hey Andrew, this video just saved me several thousand dollars. I crawled up on top of my 2008 Itasca Navion and sure enough the roof seal was failing in several places. Got it sealed up before the radius failed, should be good to go and hopefully avoided this expensive repair! Thank you so much!

Andrew, James seems like a stand-up guy. It's always good to find a knowledgeable expert to tell you what's wrong and a fair price. Winnebago does not want to tell you and fix problem, that's why the price is so high. The price from Winnebago, makes want to trade rig in. Thanks for info.

In 2016, my 2004 Winnabago 40' Vectra popped its seam in a Denver windstorm and a 40'x8" roof piece tore off the roof. Cost me $14,000 to replace the entire roof. Took all of my reserve funds. Ended up in Tucson. Had to sell the coach and get out of rv'ing. Someday I will rv again. I miss the lifestyle.

I bought Winnebago 29 ve 2019 and I had the roof split on the drivers side (rear) looked like 3 gashes about 3inches long and 1/4 inch thick
Brand new coach only 6k miles just split Warrenty was expired but the dealer fixed it for free.
I live in California Bay Area and this blows my mind I hope it’s not a sign of things to come .
Be aware people read reviews and due your home work.

I looked at a fairly new Winnebago at a Camping World dealership. I noticed stains on the ceiling. When I climbed up the ladder, I could see half of the roof had been peeled back! This unit was still for sale & the dealer didn’t seem to care about the roof being damaged!

I hope every day I don't have a major expense so I'm always out there looking the coach over.
Yeah first time in Arizona a couple of weeks ago and it was 115**. I don't know how you do it. The coach ACs couldn't even keep it cool inside.
It was 77* here today. Our Winters gonna be tough though.

James replaced the roof on my Itasca Suncruiser a couple of years back. What he says about inspecting the roof sealant on the radius is no joke. No insurance company will cover the cost of a Winnebago roof replacement because the roof is supposed to last as long as the motorhome as long as that sealant is checked and replaced as needed. And no one tells you about the annual inspection.
