The question is so simple that even a single-celled being can understand it: "Are you aware that you will raise your children with blood money from the war...???" I don't know where you find the patience to do this job, which forces you to talk to these poor ignorant people, crushed by propaganda. Greetings from Italy, hoping for peace.

Man Is narccisst and psychotic sociopath, a demagogue with a huge following, whose followers are much as if a cult.

This is the BEST English dubbing/interpretation I have heard on this channel...very natural (unlike some earlier ones which provided the English words but NONE of the inflections, cadence or attitude). Well done whoever did the voice-over, hope you do more!
I understand why convicts have been tempted with exchanging army service for amnesty ( and a pay check) , BUT to actually ACCEPT the offer requires significant self-delusion and/or ignorance and stupidity.
If prisoners were told that they'd be just doing mundane tasks such as standing guard or driving supplies, cleaning barracks or whatever...well why would they think that would be true?
It surely should have been obvious that they were being offered this deal because Russia was losing too many regular soldiers, because it's an effing WAR, so OF COURSE they'd be replacing the dead/wounded soldiers, so OF COURSE the convicts had a high chance of being killed or wounded the same way...in fact it was MORE likely because they aren't even trained and of course the Army would have no regard for them because they are convicts in the first place and thus utterly disposable.
Add to those considerations, the 20th and 21st history of the Russian Army...surely the 'Patriotic War' is well known, the meat-grinder aspects of that, and more recently the mess that was Afghanistan...I remember there was plenty of complaints from those army Veterans about how Afghanistan went and how those veterans were treated when they returned.
The first POW at least seemed to have an idea of what would happen and planned to wound himself to get out of the war ASAP...he just wasn't quick enough about it.
My basic humanity makes me feel bad for the second POW's injuries, BUT the fact remains that, even though he doesn't appear to have killed anyone before getting maimed, he STILLPARTICIPATED in an unjust war that has killed and maimed innocents and trashed lives and half a nation, so....I have no abiding sympathy for him.
Regarding the 'big picture'; while Russian incompetence has been 'helpful' to Ukraine, Russian forces are still formidable, Ukraine is still extremely hard-pressed, and especially with Ukraine's new incursion into Kursk, Putin needs, now more than ever to crush Ukraine.
NATO surely needs to increase the supply of weapons, ammo and logistical support, and use other means to hamper Russia, while Ukraine has to somehow maintain sufficient personnel to keep the Russians 'at bay' until January 2025...when hopefully here in the US we will not only have a new President ( that ISN'T Trump!), but also hopefully, a decent Democratic Party majority in at least the House of Representatives, and better yet, also in the Senate. That would sideline the Republicans, most of whom have thus far done their best to delay and/or reduce help from the US to Ukraine.
The prospects for a more helpful and effective US assistance via a majority Democratic administration look pretty damned good right now, but I'm too experienced in life and US politics to let my hope become an assumption.
Meanwhile, eff Putin, and Slava Ukraine!

Interesting as always. The translation seems to be a bit more fluent than in some previous videos, so thank you for that. Particularly notable that Moscow's army denies recruiting convicts and is reluctant to cooperate in exchanges of them. The individual wounded in the arm seemed fairly aware, including of how Storm Z units are used by Moscow. 10 days or 2 weeks' training might be usual, as that period has been mentioned in other videos too.

Zolkin, if possible make a video of the whole process leading up to a interview and then the interview, it would be good content and the lying Russians could no longer lie about accusations of forceful interviews or beatings.

"This is not how I imagined it. You can't tell where they're shooting from!" - what, that YOU would get hurt?
And their answer to everything? "I don't know. I don't get into politics". Hmm...other than literally going to war?

They publish the videos on Telegram. In Russian. Why would they want an English version? The YT video is for non-Russian speakers.

@@mimisor66 What videos? Who claimed they want an English version?
You are also missing the point that even though the specific video we are talking about is dubbed, the original is not. The same information is still there, even more precise version.

    Sir
I would like to say thank you for trying to teach these Russian prisoners about their tyrannical governments lies. And I see that you get upset and irritated at times, and I understand your pain but I applaud you four-year restraint your clear-headedness as well as you being neutral and looking at the whole picture not judging no matter who you see because remember there's only one person that can judge and that's Jesus himself or God. We here in the United States are with you may God bless you and protect you.

29:14 Is the translation wrong or is Zolkin wrong? Nationalism is not love of country, and does imply the suppression of others. I hope what Zolkin means is patriotism. Otherwise we would be back to bloodlines...
