MLB stadiums should not have any seats that close to the outfield wall, period. This has been an issue for years, it's easy to solve, just push the first row of seats back and leave a 6' gap between the railing and the actual wall.
Imagine having bet on that player to hit a HR😂 I’d be so pissed. Was the right call and if that gloves not there’s it would have been caught cleanly from looking closely at it a few times
Did they kick the kid out? tech under MLB rules if a fan intereferes at any point in the game of play the security team are suppose to escort them out but considering it was a kid.....
@@davidfitzpatrick6535 no, he didn't get kicked out. he had to move seats. i thought he got kicked out at first. he was sobbing coming up the stairs and everybody was booing the ref. u can facts check me tho
@@valleyguy633 ok yeah honestly I think that's fair. I would try the argument the kid didnt know the rule about ur glove is not allowed to be in play but a) he looks around 12 so is probably old enough to know that rule (esp since some parks announce it at the game) and b) in the clip it looks like he is legit taking the ball from the player's glove so I think he knew what he was doing. hopefully at least they let him keep the ball because its rare to catch a ball. I think when its along the low walls like that ( for another example the RF opposite the green monster at Fenway park) the unofficial rule is if the outfielder looks like he has a shot at the ball as the fan u must let him take the shot but if it tips off the glove or he drops it over (i believe thats a double) then u're allowed to grab it. honestly im willing to bet that if it wasnt a kid they probably would've thrown him out but because it was a kid the player wasnt too upset and just notified the ump and continued. At least it wasnt the ninth inning but mid game (look up Zach and Cody episode where MR Mosley costs the red sox the game by doing this.)
@davidfitzpatrick6535 Yeah, there's no MLB rule of automatic ejection, and the batter was called out as he should have been, so they did the right thing in letting him stay. Both were fully involved in tracking the ball, and probably not even aware of each other. Amazing, though, that the kid ended up with the ball.
He robbed an out, not a homer
No, the captions right
@@Aesthxtics-it’s not, he did not rob a homer because it was a homer. He robbed an out because he took away the ball from the outfielders glove
For Spencer steer that's an out 😂
Didn’t they reverse it though?… so technically the kid stole something from everyone 😂
@@loganwaterman2437It is because the call was that the runner was out and not that it was a homer
I like how the guy is telling the lady “stop celebrating he just interfered”
The fan was making sure that the ball got out for his team

Give that kid a contract
He got the boot 🥾 😂😂
No, give him a suspension from the stadium.
@@ltorres420he didn't get ejected. The family got moved to another section.
Fan interference..... clearly
ya, but hes just a kid.
@preppy.lifestyle.42 but it's a official game they don't care even he's a kid
So Steve Bartman is the only one who gets away with it????
Bro💀

Kid has a grip on him!
The kid should be thrown out just like an adult would be!!
The runner even knew
Good call
I love it! The greatest play ever! Watch them make a movie about this one... 😂😂
Doesn’t even look like that should have been possible. I mean it was for my in Spencer’s glove. Strange
HEAD TOP!!!!!!!!!
Eject that kid out of the park
That kid is the 7th best outfielder the mlb has right now
i was there

They didn't kick him out. They relocated him and his family to different seats, away from the wall.

The kid that got the ball is my baseball team
