i lost someone. she was a friend, a special one. even though i didn't love her in a romantic way, i loved that soul deeply, and i made sure that she knew that when she was here. this song brings her in my mind every time that i listen to it. when i found this video i cried a lot because i watched mostly of these movies (before the sunrise it's my favorite!). thank you for this masterpiece. it felt like a gift for me in a difficult time. i don't know, guys. life is hard, but the connections that we make are what make this living special. never be afraid to love.
Sadly this song is a lot more tragic. It's a relationship that's gone and I suspect the love interest might be dead when she says "Waiting for the call from beyond". It's a love letter to someone that can't read it.
It is indeed very tragic. Natalie said that this was about a friend that killed himself. I learned this after seeing her live, but the first time I heard the song when the album came out it immediately transported me to an old time movie scene. :)
