It filled my aching heart with so much pride to be an Arab, a Lebanese born in Ras (head) Beirut (the part that extends outwards into the Mediterranean sea). A few months before this war flared up I made plans to travel to my homeland to visit my mother's burial ground for the first time since she passed away in 2012. Not matter the circumstances at the time of my travel, if there are inbound flights still operating with the airline I've booked with I will still go there and I don't care for one second if I get killed doing so!
