Hi, great explanation! Thank you. I just noticed that in 18:48 you said "leftmost stack", I found in the rules you can actually choose which air stacks you want to remove. page 18 in the rules - "Choose 1 of the Air tile stacks and move it to the Reserve"
Excellent job with this video! It’s great learning the game though this video, but with your playthrough it’s even better to understand the initial strategy.
Awesome! I hope you enjoy the game. I'll have the second part up tomorrow morning, which will teach the 1st attack and siege 1 stages. Thanks for watching!
I'm happy my video was able to help you get into this great game. It took me a couple plays but now it is my favorite game of the year so far. I'm happy to hear a reprint is coming. Thanks for watching!
Great video! One minor rules error. You resolve the defenders that returned with a delivery token after all movement is done. Looking forward to part 2!
Thanks for checking out the video, Sem. It is more of a Euro-y war themed game than a traditional war game, but I've really enjoyed my plays so far. The history is very interesting and the game brings it to life. Check out part two tomorrow -- the game really starts to ramp up.
Thanks. Yeah, I find it pretty brutal so far. Still figuring it out, which is nice. I like solo games that are unforgiving. The worst thing is when a game is too easy. In Part Two the game starts showing its teeth. Thanks for watching!
I believe it is going to retail. I'm not entirely sure when or in what numbers. I'm pretty confident, once the word gets out, this will become widely available. I sure hope so, because I think HoH will appeal to a large audience even beyond traditional solo gamers. Thanks so much for checking the video out!
Thanks for the video! Quick question for you: What is the plastic storage bin you used for tokens, and does it fit in the box? Trying to find a new solution to help with setup. Thanks!
I got plastic container from the Dollar Tree. It is a really thin and small container for screws and nails and stuff like that. I cannot remember the name. It fits in the box (but I cannot remember if there was an insert that I removed, I tend to remove most inserts). Thanks for watching!
Such a great playthrough, thanks! Do you generally do the same things the first 3 days? What would be a reason to do things differently? Does it depend on the Event cards you draw? Is this the main driver of what you focus on for those for 3 days?
Thanks for checking out the video! I'd say the event cards, the snow tiles, and the types of defenders you draw really dictate what you focus on in those early days. Weather plays a role in how much you invest in supply runs, for example. You can also decide to just try different things. I focused on morale in this playthrough and neglected other things. That was a choice I made before I begun playing. I could have decided to focus on something else. But I'm not an expert on the game, so I can't say for certain that there aren't optimal actions early on. Thanks again!
Hi! I really like your setup. Just out of curiosity: how many cameras do you have to get all those angles / close zooms and how are they attached? A huge rack at your ceiling? 😅
I'd be more than happy to explain my setup. I only have one camera set up on a C-stand hanging over the table. I get the multiple shots by filming in 4K and then using a 1080p timeline on DaVinci. That lets me zoom in and reposition the shot without losing quality. It is a very simple and streamlined setup, which works for my needs -- limiting but effective. Thanks for watching!
I do wish they would have added some flavor to the cards. Instead of just showing that Fear and Doubt went up one I would like like some explanation why. "Scouts spot large numbers of approaching troops." Fear and doubt are increased by 1. It is a solo game. I like a solo game to tell a good story.
That is a fair criticism. But I definitely feel the story in the gameplay and I am able to fill in the specifics using my imagination as I play. So I do find the overall experience to be thematic and even cinematic. Thanks for watching!
Setting up the tripods now. This game is kinda hard to record 😄 You need to be so high to see it all. What kind of tripod are you using, do you have a link? Thank you kindly
I use a c-stand similar to this one: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/372016-REG/Impact_CT40MKIT_Master_Century_C_Stand.html. You have to buy a few things to attach the camera ball head to the stand arm -- I don't remember the exact items but I'm sure you can Google it. If I only had a tripod I would probably record sections of the board at a time and move it when necessary, but that is a pain. Filming board games basically sucks, no way around it. Good luck!
So, hear me out. I don't even like solo games and I still watched from start to finish ! Come on man, these are too enjoyable ! I even considered buying this game and (again) I don't like solo games ! XD Now, where is part 2 ?
Wow, that is really cool to hear. Thank you. I'm glad you find the videos entertaining even if you aren't interested in solo games. Part Two is up on the channel and I hope you watch it and enjoy it as much as Part One. The tension really starts to ramp up.
OK.... this needs to stop... how am I to make a video playing this game now that won't look 1/3 as good as this, teach the game which I don't need to do anymore because you did that... and show the game mechanics to people which I don't need to bother with because you did that now... OK.. time to go switch my youtube channel to a cooking channel or maybe teach you guys how to ride a horse or something because my board game channel is dead... thanks alot Totally Tabled..
More coverage on a boardgame you're interested in is never a bad thing, perhaps you'll teach it in a different way that will click more with other people.
@@danbea4996 that is true but we can't compete with this guy... come on... the silky smooth voice, the great production values, the wonderful teaching... everything we do looks like crap compared to this... please forgive me now, I have to go cry in the corner....
I appreciate the compliment. Obviously, my way of doing things is only one of many ways and we need more voices and more coverage of board games, not less. Everyone has their own unique style and approach to content creation. My way is to spend a long time editing the heck out of my videos. A lot of people don't like that style and would much prefer to watch something streamed live that isn't overproduced. I can't do live. I talk too slow, too many pauses, too many mistakes, too much AP, etc. I have to edit all that out to create something watchable. I'm in awe of how many people can make such great live content. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. We all have something to add to the hobby. Thanks so much for your kind sentiments and support of the channel!
This is a killer game! I have been playing it on Tabletopia for awhile. I wish I would have backed the KS. I was told it would not be going to retail. Part two should be interesting.

Perfect timing, I just set the game up 😊.. another great video, thanks!!

I'm so glad I was still able to pledge this game. Looking forward to play.
Nice. I'm glad you got in. I fear a lot of people are going to miss out once the hype really starts. Hope you enjoy it!
The rule book is impenetrable. Even the recruit explanation has contradictory advice. Other than that, and thanks to YOU, I love this game!

cheers for the video, i think im going to get it

Great game and gameplay!
The bag building of different workers reminds me of Stan Kordonsky's Resurgence
I still haven't tabled that one, but I really want to. It looks very interesting. Thanks.
Another game I didn’t know I need n
It's great. And I hear it is being reprinted. Thanks for watching!
Is it just me or does this game feel like a more fleshed-out version of Maquis? I really like the look of this!
There is quite a bit going on -- much heavier and longer than Maquis, but some similarities. Incredible game and brutally tough. Thanks for watching!
@@TotallyTabled for sure: way heavier and complexer than Maquis. You make it look easy though :)
This is a nice game. Been on the shelf for a while now, but managed a win (on easy) zfter about 7-8 games.
A win in this game is an achievement! If I can hold out until the final onslaught, I consider that a success! :) Thanks for watching!
Welp. I'm sad I missed out on this one. Hopefully they'll do a reprint someday. Thanks for the video!

I ordered from Gamefound just two weeks ago and my copy arrived this week, there's still time!
I preordered from a US-based online retailer so at least some availability outside KS
@@garytheosophilus That's good to know! Thanks!
I just checked and it’s sold out there now. I see some current availability at KS resellers but there are the usual large markups :+(

Shouldn’t you draw 2 extra patrols at the end of day 3?
