I saw another comment on another video about this place mentioning that the way to notice the noodles before they arrive is the water flow will seem to stop up a few moments before the noodles fly out. Hope the tip helps :) I checked it immediately and it was right every time the water would start to dribble, there would be noodles moments later :D
I have seen a number of videos showing this. However, you are the first person to talk about having your own flute, the noodles not returning and the pink noodles at the end. This makes the process much more hygienic and something I would now want to try. Thanks.

In Malaysia , we have a pretty similar concept but not noodles tho.. it's a whole damn meal served at restaurants that is on the water.. so their seats are on the flowing river 😂 u can enjoy food while soak your feet and look at the views
That's the law of the business survival: when you have a business that isn't new to people, you gotta find a way to be different to bring more customers and this is a great example. Really nice. My mom can't use the chopsticks, so she would probably miss all her noodles.
Oh this is really popular in Japan! It’s a thing that people do like in their backyards for parties. All you have to do is get lengths of bamboo and you hook them to flowing water and it’s like a big party event… Super fun! I used to do this with my kids when they were little it was quite popular at the kindergarten. It’s just for the summer.

I’ve been eating these noodles for years, cold noodles with the right dipping sauce is such a great and refreshing snack… I will even sometimes take my cold noodles and make miso(preferably with mushrooms and tofu) and add some dipping sauce into my miso along with the noodles, very tasty!

We were there, one summer, didnt anticipate a long queue for a queue number. Then when it was finally our turn, rain happened, didnt get to eat. Not even lunch, the restaurants around were like bookings only. it was a bummer experience. Yet very memorable.
I think it is more hygienic if the noodles where served in a bowl with water to the customer where only the customer dips his or her own chopsticks in that bowl.
It doesn’t matter if you dip your used chopsticks to grab another bundle of noodles from the flume as the water is constantly flowing so you’ll never get the same water that touched your chopsticks again. As she explained, any uncaught noodles are caught in a net at the end and the water is dumped and drained into the river or drain below. It’s essentially self-cleaning at this point.

Most of your meals at higher end establishments are made by chefs without gloves, sure they wash their hands but it's just expected at certain levels -- especially outside of the U.S. Same with bread and baked good as well, your immune system is pretty strong as a human. You'll be fine. And most foods you eat (if you do) like yogurt, cheese, are fermented and strained products with bacteria, I had a severe germ phobia growing up but grew out of it after seeing various areas of the world and food customs :)

It isn't unsanitary as everybody gets their own pipe and water, it's basically pan to plate just without anyone touching the plate as it comes to you.
