I remember paying a $5 cover charge to get in someone's house to watch this on their 25" TV. There was something like 50 people in the house. The owner of the house paid $35.00 to pay per view,, you do the math

I agree with the sentiment, but I saw them play a three hour show in '89 that still ranks as one of the best shows I've ever seen. They had an intensity and great audience connection. I don't think anyone took a bathroom break that night. Simon Phillips was the drummer for that tour. Much better suited.

I fail to see what was so bad about Kenney Jones' drumming.
I get it, he isn't Keith Moon but Keith was a one of a kind.
My only complaint is he never used that gong.
Don't make the roadies set that thing up if you aren't going to use it.

Roger didn't like him, Pete & John loved him, his drumming was spot on

Rabbit is off the tour now because Roger has a problem with him.

@@patricksommers2629Actually it was Joe Jackson, who was a last minute replacement as The Clash were booked on SNL (I believe) and couldn’t make the connection. I was there and remember it distinctly. Joe was singing “Is She Really Goin’ Out With Him?”,and it was a direct hit. Fed to the lions, poor Joe.

December was the cable broadcast date. It seems to me it was on Showtime, but I don't remember for sure.
