- In this video I will restore this beautiful Tudor watch ref 7984 with a ETA cal 1156. I am a huge fan of Rolex and Tudor watches and this vintage watch is so perfect for me
I love the combination of the Rolex Oyster case with its beautiful round shape and the modern look on this matt black Tudor dial with this amazing vintage logo.
Let's see if can make this watch even better by fixing a couple of issues and by making it running great ones again.

Lovely ETA movement, just goes to show they make some excellent movements.
They are not bad movements
Lovely to see watches like this, Rolex and Tudor made them and knew that one day a watchmaker was needed to clean and oil the watch again. Great video.
Thank you
Tudor big rose is the best logo ever.
I agree 100% with you
Beautiful. Great job. I too wish they would bring back the iconic rose at 12.
It is such a great logo
I wish my Tudor had the rose on it :( wow I can't believe you got this watch to -1 second!
I wish all modern Tudor get the rose logo
Very nice video and thank you for not editing-out little oversights like stem length correction 😊Thank you for posting!!
I try to keep as much as I can but of you have any specific questions or things that you want to see in the video don't hesitate to leave a comment
Very nice watch. I too like the old logo. Good job. Thank you.
Thank you Serge
Lovely video and work ,These Tudor ETA,s are so nice .great job
Thank you. I love these vintage Tudor with the big Rose. One of my favorite vintage piece.
GREAT VIDEO
Thanks Greg. I love this vintage Tudor watches
Love it..and love the vintage Tudors. ice job on the servicing of that one. A great piece. Kudos to you.
Thank you so much. New Tudor project coming today on the channel
simply stunning
Thank you
I have the same Tudor watch, and want it to be restored... But finding a watch maker is Cape Town, South Africa is one challenging task.
Good luck with your search. A watch is easy to be sent abroad so don’t only look in your country.
Was so close in getting one of these totally regret not buying it nown
You can still find some for not too much but they will need some work. I paid mine just over 400€ so it is not too bad for such a nice piece
beautiful vintage watch, ....great amplitude after service
One of my favorite. Thanks for the comment
Very nice.
Thank you
Beautiful watch !
Was the mainspring orientation the same when you put it in compared to when you disassembled it?
Yes the mainspring was wind clockwise in both cases
Super video ! Cool de travailler sur des montre plus prestigieuse ! Super résultat final et avec une belle amplitude ! ✨👌
Merci bien Alain
Helloo turkey
I am also dealing with clock repair work.
Cool. Great passion
I've never seen anybody put epilame on the balance hole jewels (only the endstones). Why do you do it? Also, why didn't you use epilame on the escape wheel end stones? I believe they serve the same purpose as the balance endstones. Thanks!
You are probably right and I can only put epilame on the endstones. I put the escape and the pallet fork in epilame too. You can only see the drying in the video at 13:09 after the treatment.
@@FrenchWatchCollector I also use epilame on the escape wheel. If the escape wheel jewels have endstones (just like yours), I treat them with epilame, too.
@@jwoodyr1 Thanks for the tip. I will do on my futur project.
Hi. Were did you get that lime / file to open the hole on the barrel bridge? Thanks.
On cousin uk
Sublime et merci de partager cela avec nous
De rien car c'est avec un grand plaisir que je partage ma passion
Really nice job. I appreciate how you are moving forward with the better movements now. I see you have also obtained a staking set 👍👍. Your bench looks really nice; may inquire where you got it? Thanks
Hi Eric, Thank you for you support. I got a vintage staking set and it is very useful. So much tool to get if you want to do a proper job. I got my bench from a watchmaker who got it from a swiss manufacturer. The bench is very nice but I don't have much information as nothing is written on it (brand or model)
Du beau travail! Bravo!
Merci Guillaume.

Remember that these watches were assembled in the same workshops where Rolex watches were also assembled.
Nice info. They are so nice
Thank you for another interesting video.
