dont know if anyone gives a damn but if you're bored like me during the covid times you can stream all the new movies on Instaflixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend for the last couple of days xD
HI, I have my recording studio for 29 years. For some reason a few months ago I found your channel ... you look so much like my son physically that I was curious to browse your videos ... I'm just telling you that you have blessed me with your talent both in your recording techniques and in the music that you record. Keep going!. Blessings to you and your family. :D
Rock solid info on how to do drum replacement/triggering. I really wish this kind of info were so easily available to me when I was learning how to mix drums. Always felt so discouraged and uninspired getting bad recordings from really cheap mics and wondered how mainstream worship music can have such beautiful sounding live drums. Now I almost can't go without using this technique to get that worship drum sound! This is the real deal good stuff that should cost $$$ to learn :))
Aw thank you DJ! I’m so glad this was useful. Yeah that’s almost always the issue - we should be attempting to get the best sources up front, but we don’t always have the best stuff.. so this is the next best thing haha
please do one for keys and guitar!! these tutorials are just fantastic. i learned so much in 20 minutes ESPECIALLY from the "how to mix vocals.' keep it up bro, this is good stuff. God bless!!
This is my second message it was Dr. Gene Kim also from San Jose International . that was speaking about music. In fact you got quite interesting other topics like hybrids UFOs whatever he finds he shows you where it originally comes from
My brother! I'm glad to see another one of these Production videos from you, and then I see another great producer in the comment section... Jonathan Ogden? Bro? This is amazing
Great tips learned so much! I'm a logic user so I had to translate the processes in my brain haha. Great video and quality content! Can't wait for your piano vid! Would like to see how you record and mix your guitars too! Keep it up, man!
Thanks for the video! I was trying to find That Sound's "Mint 70's kit" and couldn't find it anywhere on their web sight. Is it in another library. I have the Nir Z and Paul Mabry libraries. Thanks
And by the way, I’d love for you to mix and master an album of originals that I’m gonna start working on! Haha~ I’ve had these originals for a while but never felt confident in my being able to process the audio properly :P I’ll talk to you separately about it ^^
Can David play the harp and it seemed to calm down King Saul. The Bible used six string instruments. Music has to have a beginning and ending. Music brings out endorphins that make your body happy. The wrong music can also be a curse. The rock and rollers that died 27 years old. I'm interested in many things that are true. I do believe Dr Chuck Missler had a message from either Lenny Seidel or himself. I learned quite a bit maybe you can get something out of that yourself. Oh when David played the harp for King Saul it says that he was vexed with depression and what's suicidal and tormented mentally. As soon as David play the harp these feelings left King Saul. Quite a fascinating story that has truth to it. Thank you for your input on drums music and all the things that I didn't know that I know now
If I remember correctly, the mint 70’s kit was actually a free kit for customers. Honestly though, buy everything they make. You won’t regret it. Actually, I think they’re on Splice now so you might find the 70’s kit there.
I've updated some of my analog gear since this video, but here's a list of the stuff I use! In my API lunchbox: 1) Empirical Labs DerrEsser 2) DBX 560A Compressor 3) Maag EQ4 4) SSL 611EQ 5) Heritage Audio 73JR Preamp 6) API 512C Preamp In my rack: TK Audio BC1 Mk2 (SSL-style buss compressor) KT2A (LA2A clone from Klark Teknik) KT76 (1176 clone from Klark Teknik) EQP-WA (Pultec EQ clone from Warm Audio)
To an extent! There's definitely not as much flexibility as far as processing goes compared to working inside a DAW, but I've seen a lot of FOH engineers use things like Waves Soundgrid to integrate Waves plugins for live usage. For triggering, I've seen drummers use physical triggers connected to Roland SPD-X to supplement their drums. Hope this helps!
I’ve been thinking a lot about it! I know it’s really difficult to find information about these things, so I’ve been wanting to make them available on my channel for free. Though I’ve been busy with school and a lot of other things, I LOVE doing this so I will continue to make time to do these tutorial videos :)
I enjoy the Waves DBX160 compressor, API 550A & 550B EQs, SSL E-Channel, API 2500, SSL G-Comp. Out of all of these, I would say the SSL-E channel gives the most utility/bang for the buck. It’s a channel strip with EQ, compression, gate/expander (quite the musical way of getting rid of drum bleed). Look out for their sales and if you can, demo them and try them for yourself! :)
@@beloved_music Hey, thanks so much for the reply, it is super helpful! So I just bought what you recommended :) The DBX, API, SSL-E and I am able to pick one more . If you had to choose between CLA-76 or Scheps 73, what would you pick 🙂? I am struggling bad trying to decide. I know it depends personally but I have tried them both and need to pick one.
@@HalfAcreFarms I personally don't have experience using the Scheps 73, but the CLA-76 finds itself in a lot of the stuff I do! One of my favorite things to do on the CLA-76 is to turn off the compression and boosting the input (while attenuating the output) to introduce saturation. It sounds lovely on the snare. And of course, the compression is useful for drums, vocals, and bass as well.
Can you just do one of these for every instrument? I learn so much from these haha
That’s the plan!! 😂
Hey, another fellow worshipper I follow :D

@Edison Tanner definitely, I've been watching on instaflixxer for months myself :)

For keys and guitar it's pretty easy, you just have to hit the Mute button and let the drums do all the work 😁
Glad to have discovered this channel this early into 2021! Can't wait for more mixing tutorials! :D
2021's going to be a good year! :)

Hi Beloved Music, I no longer see the purchase link for the "Mint 70s Kit" is there another way to find it?
