    Poor Temma, he wants to learn english but at the same time he felt way behind, just like Haachama after her first english collab you can tell that they felt embarrassed because is not their language, I feel you Temma, but don't worry with enough time you can learn english it takes time, but is possible

      Well, learning a language takes not only time, but actions as well, such as set the phone language, seeing that language in daily life social media, hearing it repeatedly in livestream and video, lastly be shameless and confident to speak with people
      But Temma is doing all his best in his way, I believe in a year or so, he will become native English speaker

      Here's the thing, learning language will never be easy so you don't have to feel ashamed of being behind. Just look at ID, some of them don't speak a lick of Japanese, but they just speak it anyway with what little they know. I think that's the best approach to learn language, just speak it and learn it anyway, even if you're bad at it. Learning a language especially English is never not worth your time and effort.

    • @alcor4670
      @alcor4670 Год назад +8

      Acquiring and improving language skills are one of those things that you just have to do regularly for the rest of your life. Kinda like cooking, cleaning the house, or managing your bills. Best way to improve your language skills really is to *immerse* yourself in that language regularly. Watching and reading are the two most obvious ways to achieve it.
      Japanese wasn't one of those things that I expected to begin learning, but I found myself picking up words and verbal cues just by watching anime and Hololive vids. I think I first learned English when Sesame Street was a thing when I was a kid, then moved on to cartoons and movies.

    Temma stated in a DBD stream a very long time ago that he graduated high school as one of the top 5 students of his class and went on to even graduate university with honors. So that already pretty much tells you that he's competitive, a pretty good learner especially at the fact that he's able to pick up things pretty well and understand them to a certain degree. Especially, when he's shown already when he picks up English comments in chat or reply in English to overseas fans or the StarsEN boys that stops by his streams.
    Plus, Temma tends to put VERY high standards on himself. I do think had Temma been given a member who only spoke English he would've used the opportunity to speak English but considering that Baelz is pretty much bilingual he defaulted to Japanese and there's nothing wrong with that. I'm glad that he had this talk with Baelz. What ever it is that Temma ends up doing or not doing with his journey in learning English, long as he continues to have fun with it. Sides, Temma is also very much a family guy considering how much he mentions his family; mom, dad, etc. and it's understandable if life takes priority.
