That's a really nice bike and one that is more bike than what most riders need. I see no changes that need to be made outside of maybe grips and/or bars, and/or saddle to fit a rider's preference... just buy it and go ride!
Love how good quality mtb companies are producing quality frames at more than half the cost of the “big name” competition. Quality, Warranties and customer service get my dolla 👍👍🇺🇸
Got my T8 in last Friday. Took me 25mins to get it together. Gotta get the air suspension dialed in and its gtg. Hopefully Ill get 1 decent day in soon before it gets too cold.
I've ridden some sweet trails in Colorado on a stock T7. When in the real gnar, it's exciting if not a little bit scary. It definitely causes a bit of fatigue since the suspension is a bit basic. I really think the T8 is the sweet spot regarding price for performance. The suspension will really help keep you out of trouble when things get hairy. Now on my absurdly upgraded T7 which I am calling the T11, it's so capable. 150mm fox factory 36, dvo jade x coil with cane creek progressive spring, berd hawk30 wheels with onyx vesper hubs, fox factory transfer dropper, xx1 cassette, gx axs wireless shifting, one up carbon bars, race face turbine stem, raceface turbine cranks with 165mm crank arms, one up aluminum pedals.
@@dr.crentist3155 sounds like he went with a SRAM setup. Race Face Aeffect, Aeffect R and Ride cranks use 24mm spindles so they will slide right into your stock Shimano BB no problem.
I have this bike and love it. My only criticism was the dropper post. Im 5'7" and had to buy a slightly smaller dropper post. The stock one and 170 cranks were just alittle too large. I debated buying shorter cranks but didnt know the logistics on that. Which ones to buy and how to install etc. The new dropper post was a 10 minute job
@@dr.crentist3155 shorter cranks gets a little complicated but it’s pretty easy. You either have to find cranks that are compatible with the Shimano bottom bracket, or change out the bottom bracket to fit the cranks you’re getting like I did in this video ruclips.net/video/fFkDtz-E9HM/видео.html
@@JaredHoff the Slash e bike sounded cool, but not at almost 15k CAD. I 'd agree on treks pricing. I've also had 3 new Ibis bikes. Polygon looks great. I hope they can bring more value to real people.
You know what I'd love to see one day, a T6, T7, T8, T9 trip to Whistler. See how the bikes hold up and see if a 6/7 could actually go to the mountain for a day and have fun. Maybe not fully bomb it, but get out there and have some fun on a budget.
@@JB50713 that’s one criticism I have for this bike. They need to include a water bottle cage. But I have my favorite one anyway that I’ll throw on there.
@@SwordFighterPKN maybe with all the crazy sales nowadays, you could. But if you are looking at just the msrp of all the parts on a bike+the bike frame, vs buying that bike as a complete bike (exact same components) the complete bike will be cheaper
Tubeless is not all that....too messy when you have to keep changing or topping them up..I use tubes with a Kevlar like strip on the inside of the tyre, and bar a massive thorn through the sidewall, I haven't had a puncture since, going on 7 years now..Ha!!

@JaredHoff the only stock parts left are the suspension bearings (till they are replaced), the seat collar and the seat.
