Minor corrections: The Air Soldier section's voiceover says 6% for Lucid Stones, but the on-screen 4% is correct. The Mechanitaur section should have 12% listed for Wellspring Gems, not 8% for Stones, and the Toy Trooper should read Wellspring Shards, not Stones. KH3 is not bad and it did not ruin itself, that is over exaggerated. KH3 was and it is one of the best games ever and the best of the franchise till now. Even better than KH2. I mean it.
If you look closely, you can see that the berserker doesn't actually ever attack you, he is attached to his hammer, and gets flung around whenever the hammer itself moves and attacks. It's honestly pretty unnerving once you notice, since the nobody itself is almost completely lifeless, as if exhausted from being forced to obey the berserking claymore. Interesting design detail that I learned from Janice Dublin Animation.
I’m not even halfway through the video, but I just gotta praise the phenomenal comedy that’s always a hit in every Regular Pat video. I lost my marbles at your little chuckle at your own joke at 27:34.
Also, when you're talking about the Winterhorn at 34:05 , their horns melt if you hit them with a fire spell that doesn't kill them, and it changes their attacks until they regrow their horns! They're pretty cute, too!
@@4piecespicy589enemies in KH2 go down way too easy because of Reaction Commands (which is probably why the Hot Rod, Crimson Jazz, and Dancer are so hated, they don’t have one)

you describing the flutterings as from 0.2 as if they weren't in union cross (and a kinda crucial story beat too since their appearance is what leads the player to enchanted dominion)…just makes me realize i know way too much about these games
Also it makes me a tiny bit sad that after 4+ years, there are details and thought put into in these enemies' attacks and behaviors that go entirely unnoticed bc it's a game where I can slaughter anything within 2 sec of locking eyes
Great Compendium, There are some Elemental reaction/Trivia you miss. - Earth Core's Moving sand is immune to physical attack, but elemental magic can hit and stop its sand coat. - Large Body/Helmed Body red berserk mode can be dispel by Ice element attack. - Hitting elemental weakness on Prismatic Melodies will destroy their sigil, delay their attacks - Pole Cannon will get stun paralysis when in Shock status effect. - Winterhorn's Ice horn can be destroy with Fire attack, which I think make them unable to use Air Assault, and funnily enough, use Ice element on it restore its horns back. - Dusk and Reaper has Revenge Value like Humanoid boss, that's how they break out of combo. But in Dusk case, only Physical attack add to RV, Elemental and even Non-Element magic attack will add 0 RV, so you can combo them comfortably with Magic, Blizzard Claw/Blade, Shileds, etc. - Ninja will only use Reverse Thunder when there are 2 or less Ninja left on the field.
I didn't know that but I don't fault pat for not mentioning it because it's a function of the cloud condition, not something specific to the enemy. Also thanks for the info!
At this point i don't even care about the kh3 enemy compendium. I just love hearing Pat's voice and supporting his channel. It doesn't matter what the video is about
fun fact! when they were revealed, reapers were the only high ranking nobody with no corresponding final fantasy job! this was retroactively fixed when final fantasy 14 added reaper as a job which obviously also used a scythe!
I love that the titles of these have slowly gotten less specific. First, "Heartless Compendium" then it's like "Oh, alright, Heartless AND Nobody Compendium" and now it's just "Fine, whatever, who cares. It's all the enemies now, screw it, Enemy Compendium."
29:00 I love the continuity between the pogo shovel in this video and the driller mole in the kh2 compendium video joke! Love the jokes and wonderful narrating and script writing you have in your videos! Keep up the great work Regular Pat!
I'm making a TTRPG campaign with Heartless/Nobodies-esque enemies and your compendium videos are great for 1. having in the background while I work, and 2. information on what kinds of enemies I should apply/how to design them. I know you make these for crafting data but thank you regardless~
To this day, I still cannot understand why they don't have a more apparent method of displaying elemental weaknesses, despite how simple it would be to implement it. One other good reason why it's necessary is because most of the enemies in KH games don't have an appearance that makes it obvious what harmful to them; i.e. I would have never guessed that Soldiers are weak against Blizzard just by looking at them. Anyway the conditions to seeing them would be to either defeat said enemy or hit them with whatever elements they're weak/strong against. I'm pretty sure this would encourage players to actually make use of their spells instead of just wasting their MP on Cure 😢
Missed opportunity with the parasol beauty heartless, to make a joke from teenage mutant Ninja turtles versus Batman where Michelangelo geeks over the Penguin's gun/ umbrella. He called it a "Gun-Brella"
Any time I’ve been doom scrolling for too long and need to give my brain a much needed break, I come to your little corner of the internet and instantly feel safe again. The comparison between this and a nature documentary did make me realize I spend much more time and joy watching these videos instead of documentaries about the real world... aw well whatever lol!
Just want to say the way the water core resists lightning is cool, not only does it go against common video game type matchup logic, Pokémon is the biggest one, but it’s accurate as pure water has zero conductivity and unless darkness is a conductor the resistance makes sense
Part of me wishes you’d do this for Birth By Sleep and Dream Drop Distance, too. However, I know you hate DDD (one of the only KH opinions we DON’T share) and the synth material side in BBS is kinda shot as the crystals work differently and are generally more abundant due to having less types.
Less than 3 minutes in and I find out you can pull shadows out of the ground with Water??? Damnit Regularis Patroclus has done it again. He can’t keep getting away with this
Great video! One thing I noticed bout the heartless in KH3 is that don't seem as menacing as they did in KH1 or 2 Also, I'd love to see you do a Compendium for the Heartless in Days and or Re:Coded, or even a mini compendium for the Unversed in BBS
Sorry for being late. I absolutely love these types of videos. You in general, actually. You never fail to put a smile on my dumb face, even when depression is kicking my butt again.
