good job with getting a sponsorship, it must be tough getting one under 100k subs (you deserve 100k btw great content) first vid i watched and i loved it!
Hero is a solid mid tier character.
I love how Electric Wind God Fist needs no explanation to say how broken the move is. It just straight up shows itself as one of the most broken moves in Smash Bros. At this point, everyone knows and sees how broken it is, and no one will be surprised even to when it appears on the top moves list without any description.
EWGF is even so broken that it can get you banned for being caught in an infinite as PatchyDogg found out.
It's so powerful it speaks for itself
😂😂😂😂😂😂
it combos into so much does 0 to death and so much more kazuya has sooo much depth and potential it just needs time to be discovered.
it literally give kazuya basically a massive zero-to-death tree based on this move alone
Surprised Mewtwo's shadow ball wasn't there when charged shot was. Maybe because it's on Mewtwo. Samus is a better character overall, but shadow ball is better imo
Ewgf is so broken but I feel like there are only maybe 10 other characters that could really utilise it like kazuya does, and also I’m sorry but where is banana, that move is straight cheeting
I would genuinely like to know why you decided to not put steve block in here. That move is responsible for most of the steve tech put there, and after a week of steve buffs I thought it would have left a mark
Mainly bcuz not many characters would benefit from having Steve block with out the rest of his kit to go with it, I think minecart would b a more universal move that every character can use regardless of kit
It’s 100x better on Steve than it would be most characters. For a lot of characters it’d basically just be “Ok cool I guess I have a slightly better disadvantage state”. Mainly just characters with upair bridges or attacks that hit upwards and have long enough hitstun for a fast smash attack/uptilt that kills off the top or sets up into up airs could do anything. Which really isn’t many characters at all
@@NuBOrn21Steve block let’s you do ANYTHING in the air, most characters would get 10x more use out of this than cloud bair
@@ryanepic6577 Plenty of characters would get crazy utility and kill potential. Off the top of my head,
wolf: fair - shine - bair, already exists. What about fair - shine - dsmash
mario: upair ladder into upsmash, also the fact he can turn any stage into battlefield should have us. all in fear
fox: he gets a strong disadvantage state and stronger Off-stage-game, making him top 5.
cloud: gets a good recovery, and up air ladder combos into upsmash, making him top 3.
marth: can justice luna anywhere, making him able to kill at 40% consistently.
falco: up-tilt. enough said.
Banned
That sponsorship transfer had me like, what the hell, he's gone crazy. And then the sponsorship started, very clever
I’m just a little bit disappoint that it wasn’t
Yup
In case everyone was wondering why I didn’t include Steve’s moves it’s because materials and weapons and all that junk. Even if it was just block, tools can affect mining speed and stuff like that which requires you to have Steve’s tools to accompany it. These ten on the other hand are more agnostic, even Hero's Menu.
Can you please pin your comment. I feel others need to see this too.
@@zubair1149 Can't. Sponsor :(
@@VarsIII Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
@@VarsIII Couldn't you just add it to the pinned comment below the sponsor stuff?
glad i scrolled lol
They had to know EWGF chains were a thing. That’s why Kazuya has his weak spiking nair. They put it into the game, tested it and thought it was ok to have. What were they on?
Exactly what I'd like to know. PatchyDogg even found out as a result of being turned into a victim of it that you can be banned for being caught in an infinite.
Sakurai probably though the exectuion was incredibly hard (which isn't really)
@@Mepphy99 The execution's difficulty wouldn't do much to increase a move's counter play anyway. The other player isn't necessarily going to recognize the difficulty in managing the move. I can make use of an analogy with 2 things in Kid Icarus Uprising for direct contrast: the Spin Shot technique and the Mega Laser Cancel.
The Spin Shot technique allows for mixing and matching with the attack type and movement method on Dash Shots. The most clear example is that you can fire Forward Shots, which also have slightly better speed than other Dash Shots, right at your opponent while having the strafing mobility of the Side Shot. The window of execution is your re-aiming your camera and reticle being restricted to however long your Dash Shot takes to come out, the shortest being 4 frames for Claws Forward Shots, the next highest being 6 frames for Cannon Back Shots, and things only get better from there, making sure that this doesn't have any sort of surplus difficulty. Please note that this doesn't add any safer movement options actively; you can still be read if you aren't watchful with your strafing or moving back. What you do get is added offense options to erode opponents' durability better, just that the opponent can still dodge your stuff and catch you not making use of dodge moves.
By contrast, the Mega Laser Cancel can be done to get the intangibility of the casting animation of Mega Laser while doing a Dash Shot/Rapid instead, the intangibility lasting past the committal time of most weapon families' Dash Shots/Rapids. This is done by trying to cast Mega Laser (or Idol Transformation in singleplayer), then a frame after the cast input, inputting for a Dash Shot/Rapid. I think it may actually be 2 frames because ChromeNoir certainly manages consecutive uses of the MLC on a video of his, but that could just be me. Please note that the MLC does NOT actually decrement the Mega Laser charge, or it would be far more balanced especially with Mega Laser's full line cost on the Power Grid. A VERY short window to get the input correct for the risk of actually using the Mega Laser charge or doing an unprotected Dash attack does not change that the Japanese setting banned Mega Laser exclusively (keeping in mind OTHER busted things like Celestial Fireworks and Evasion+ existing) strictly because of the MLC (Mega Laser itself is not broken otherwise), which has the added bonus of being hard to properly detect similar to what happens with Steve's Phantom MLG.
I think that establishes that execution is a dangerous thing to use as an excuse for the balance of something. And I read that EWGF is spammable with excessive difficulty in whiff punishing it? If so, then what's this about execution necessity? There are people who are glad for good reason that L-Cancelling went bye-bye in Brawl and beyond. That mess gatekeeps. KIU's Spin Shot technique doesn't gatekeep, especially not at the point where the Club family (which can't make use of it and would particularly be threatened by enhanced distance opening) consistently has decent viability even with incomplete design involvement. And EWGF? Well, I'm not having a hard time remembering PatchyDogg, on a stock lead, getting hit by it repeatedly for being hit by it ONCE and thereby being banned due to being caught in an infinite. I think that demonstrates the whole issue quite nicely.
Simple. They wanted it to be like Tekken.
@@swordsman09 If by that you mean that they wanted people to be frustrated, then they certainly accomplished that.
I love how EWGF didn't even need to be described or argued for, and this is one of the rare cases where it wasn't some gag, the name really just explains itself.
Steve could genuinely have like 4 different moves on this list and I would be inclined to agree. Up Tilt is objectively one of the easiest combo moves to use, Minecart and Anvil force your opponent to respect you even when they’re winning, and Block gives you access to tech that genuinely breaks the game. The fact that none of those moves are here is almost comical.
Steve is like Broken: The Character
Literally the only one of his moves that doesn't have some crazy BS is dash attack 🥴
@@ruffeboi7304Steve is : What if we made our characters lore-accurate ?
Uptilt into up-air is only so terrifying because Steve can build blocks. Yes, any character would love an uptilt that is this safe on shield and this spammable, but it wouldn't be a guaranteed 50-80% every time you get hit by it.
Yeah it's block that should have been on here. Maybe minecart, but that gets weird with how you would transfer the materials mechanic to another character.@@legrandliseurtri7495
all of them (except the block itself) depends on the mining mechanic, and unlike hero's down b that hypothetically you can just slap MP to everyone, steve's mining waste another move's slot.
Not including stuff like Gyro, Gun, Blocks or Spin Dash is surprising
especially block
As a rushdown sonic main, yes we rely on spin dash and spin dash 2 but adding it to another characters moveset may make them better, but will just turn them into a rushdown.
@@fastestblader4968 no???
@@fastestblader4968 Wdym
There’s no way Gun isn’t a top ten move.
The kazuya ewgf section was the best by so much😂😂😂
EWGF is so broken that my video stopped working when it appeared
People can even use EWGF to get their opponents banned for being caught in an infinite.
@@MasterKnightDH that wasn’t a joke, the moment EWGF appeared my RUclips closed
Ah yes Jigglypuff with Cloud Bair. Seems familiar.
I’m surprised monkey flip or incin side b didn’t beat out bowsers. Both similarly punish over shielding, with monkey flip also serving as an incredible mobility/burst tool, and incins having insane option coverage and crazy positioning/gimping benefits
Don’t forget steve minecart. It’s a kill move, command grab, mobility option, and a projectile all in one.
Also Minecart. That move literally lets the user skip neutral sometimes.
I’d even make the argument that kazuya’s command grab is better than bowser’s overall.
@@RNGuiceBowser is frame 6 which makes it better than Kazuya grab in almost every way
@@Alibaba-id1cs Kazuya’s has armor and can turn into an even better move.

Ridley down stab, is that skewer?
Still think DK bair is better than Clouds
Idk if it’s better than clouds but dk bair is broken as hell it’s just dk is trash lol
@jovin1880 the character doesn't matter for this list, I mean Hero is here
So are Ganon, Doc, Mario, Icies. Sans rivals this category, too.
@@mylorddio8272 ik I was just said he was trash because even though his bair is broken he’s still mid
surprised that there was no minecart but good vid nonetheless
In terms of how useful it is, EWGF is the best. In terms of how fair and likable it is, its the worst.
gotta disagree with Monado arts on this list.
Too much "in theory" not enough "practical application" (especially since that's ALREADY a problem Shulk has to deal with. re: Shulk the theoretical top tier)
Especially since you then have to do the same "in-match matchup check" that Shulk already has to do,
on top of if the art you choose to balance out a weakness (speed on Ganon) nerfs one of the strengths you use to justify picking them (damage reduction on a DPS character? Really?). Or buffing their strengths as a character exacerbates their existing weakness (re: making Ganon even slower just to make him hit harder)
Shield art alone puts it on this list as the best combo breaker imo
@@idkwhattoputhere871 I feel that, but then I'm a Luigi-main, so you already know what I'm thinking, in regards to combo-breakers (EDIT: just in regards to combo-breakers, not Cyclone being better than Monado Arts or Shield arts).
The best part about Monado arts is that it gives you i-frames when switching to modes. And when you hold the monado menu open you can store some of the time as extra I-frames on the mode switch startup, while also making the actual switch faster aka dial storage
Bro got no Steve moves on the list
I was awaiting EWGF the entire video and you have managed to meet the high expectations I had for when you were going to talk about it
Seeing things like Flying Slam, Link nair and Hero's menu above stuff like Steve's utilt (And Minecart/Block, the resource management doesn't even come into play 90% of the time and is easy to self contain), R.O.B. dtilt and Pac-Man's fruit is genuinely mind boggling
I get the argument but what the hell, Flying Slam isn't even a top 5 side B
The only characters who wouldnt trade their neutral b for monado arts are olimar and steve, because they would become useless
I know not everyone one talks about it but I like Corin back air a lot it is powerful and has some nice utility with helping to recover.
So, are we just gonna forget block
Bro how os bowser side b is here and not steves block💀
Listen to this biased MFer, "over simplifying cloud as just spamming back air".. that IS what every cloud in elite does.. literally lmao
Also, no link remote bomb? Its so broken for ledge guarding and trapping.
I'm a firm believer in Snake's Grenade being on of the best moves in the game. I think it is great for camping and forcing people to approach, increases recovery options, and makes shields threatening. Can you imagine a Luigi being able to shield drop a Grenade on blocking a move, and it combing in jump up b to kill at low percent? Imagine every time you hit Ganon. You take 10%. Thos would be even more threatening on small characters like Pika who have small hurt boxes, making it near impossible to hit them without blowing up.
Then there is Hero's Fireball. Don't think this gets enough attention. But if everyone had it, most characters would have to stop committing to leggy moves for spacing like tilts and aerials. Since of tou whiff a a Cloud Bair, you could die at like 75%. Strong whiff punish tool.
As a Steve main, I'm really surprised not to see Steve's neutral special on here. Without that move, he would be low tier, even if he didn't run out of materials / tool durability. With it, he's the best character in the game. Any character would love to be able to use blocks, whether to extend combos, mix up landings, or simply camp. Mine would give anyone a way to passively exert pressure, while Craft allows them to convert that into extra power on their moves.
Which really isn’t many characters at all. It’s easily the single most important move for any character as he simply doesn’t function without it thanks to craft and material gathering. But if we just look at block then it’s really kinda just meh for most characters
@@ryanepic6577this posts suffers from a fatal lack on f creativity. Steve has pretty unimpressive air mobility and gets massive upwards combo strings out of block. Lots of characters would get zero to death (maybe not literally but low to death) level ladder combos out of being able to make your own platform mid-combo. Block is a game breaking move for lots of characters.
you need to mine to get blocks
that would require 2 moves instead of one
@@GodEmperorKen Mine and craft are the same move - both mapped to neutral special, but depend on whether you are grounded or airborne
You are genuinely trolling by not putting blocks on this list like actually what are you doing?
If you think that Paul's back air is not better Clouds, you're on crack
Y’all the sleeper pick has got to be fox fair if we’re considering it in isolation. Because of the way it’s coded, fox’s fair grants floating time and on non fast fallers, it allows for stalling and insane ladder combos
It also does auto cancel shockingly early, fox just can’t make use of it because his jump is so short, and fox also falls like a rock.
Even on someone like krool😂 forward air into up air would be nuts
Jigglypuff with pound and Fox's fair would actually just fly lmao
Samus CS might not even be her best move in her kit (it might be bomb overall). And Mewtwo Shadow Ball might be a better neutral B overall lol Also not having minecart on the list which is basically charge shot but as a command grab is really funny.
How is block not here. I was also expecting gun but block is like top one no contest MAYBE besides shulk neutral B
Ok can we talk about how he didn’t mention block??
PAC-MAN bonus fruit is one of the best moves in the game, its like Samus charge shot and menu combined its a kill move with apple, key, melon and orange a fast projectile with cherry, orange and strawberry and BELL, bell can just be one of the strongest items in the game and the ability to b reverse and continue cycling through the items makes it so versatile a move shouldn’t be able to do all of that.
It's not nearly as effective if you don't have the hydrant and Pacman's great recovery. Those two facts are what allows a Pacman player to relatively safely cycle through fruits. The fruits are also made better through all of the interactions with the hydrant. Still, there are some characters who would be able to do more with the bell than Pacman himself.
One correction: Game and Watch's up special does kill as well. I can frequently chase an opponent recovering from the side blast zones, wait out their defensive option, and use it to push them through the blast zone. Its base knockback is pretty crazy, and its edge guard potential is devastating, being too fast to react to, and covering a ton of vertical space, while being nearly impossible to punish while trying to recover.
Dude … clouds Bair is so overrated
You don’t play this game
Projectile tier list when?!
this video is worse than goatphone
What about "Are you okay!?"
what about mewtwo shadow ball?
What makes Ewgf even better is that it's a command input move, if it was a special input like Tatsumaki. Brawler characters wouldn't really want to take Ewgf (if it was a side special) cause they'd probably want a burst option or a better ranged disjointed move or even a projectile. But no, Ewgf doesn't take up a move slot and can fit perfectly in virtually every characters move set, there's even a video where someone had modded Ewgf into every character and they all MASSIVELY benefitted from it (obviously). Though certain characters who are slower than kazuya will have to react more to Ewgf DI in order to combo from.
Spin Dash and Steve Block not being on here shocked me but your picks made sense too, there def isn't a super clear top 10, theres a set 5 for sure but the other 5 are kinda up in the air
I like how he just showed Kazuya's move & didn't even explain it. The footage literally spoke.
Definitely would've picked Belmont Ftilt or Ridley Ftilt over Sephiroths. Ridley at frame 10 and Ritcher at frame 12.
Thank's for putting skewer at #0, glad to see you changed your mind on it and realized how b-b-b-broken it is.
Zelda phantom 🏆
What about alolan whip or revenge?
Shadow Ball outclasses Charge Shot both in a vacuum and character-specifically.
Shadow Ball moves slower, doesn’t combo into anything, and has a slower charge startup. Also, even if it does hit ledge, the little wavey motion it does while moving makes it inconsistent to line up at times. It does have a bit more knockback, but less damage. Another thing is that due to the faster travel speed of charge shot, it’s far easier to combo into charge shot over shadow ball. Of course, Shadow Ball is still a cracked move, but the general utility of charge shot would more usable and desirable by most characters.
@K0DA._. I didn't know it moved slower, huh. It DEFINITELY combos thoug lol, watch any of NotBae or Anbil's vids on it. Maybe part of that is Mewtwo's superior groundspeed but it is literally his most important move for combos, conditioning, etc.
Shadow Ball might move a bit slower, but not by much. It combos into a lot more than Samus's Charge Shot does though, but that's probably because Mewtwo is a lot faster than Samus, especially on the ground. But I also know SB has less lag than CS. It also kills around the same percents. I think a case could be made that SB is actually slightly better than CS, but I'm a Mewtwo main so there is some bias there for sure.
@@sggames4787 I guarantee you, even if it does combo well, it does not significantly outclass charge in that respect. One thing I will say about Shadow Ball is that is definitely has much more utility while at full charge, making it generally easier to work with. Samus’ charge starts quicker and the projectile comes out quicker and moves faster, but full charge charge shot comes out the same frame as full charge shadow ball, but Samus has significantly more end lag due to being locked in an animation. Due to this, Samus mains rarely ever have full charge CS ready, because fully charging CS makes the move minus 12 on shield, when right under full charge is plus four on shield. I still assert CS is better than Shadow Ball due to the overall better frame data outside of full charge release, but I could see arguments for both.
Sponsor aside, Luigi's taunt is better
Sheik engaging smash art and running up to your face to command grab with bowser side special, could you even imagine.
No minecart??
Bad list ngl
Imo id swap links nair, bowsers side and samus charge shot for for diddy's down or side B, steve's neutral B, and snake's neutral B
Links nair and charge shot are better than diddys and snakes Best moves.
@@Bustnq I disagree, that's why I said 'imo'
Swap the most spammable move in the game and the best you can't shield bitch in the game is wild
I might be biased as a Corrin main but I would put Corrin's bair instead of Cloud's. It's devastatingly powerful just like Cloud's, but even bigger and the momentum shift both helps you recover and gives you movement mixups in the air.
Monado and Block are too difficult to choose between. Tied for the best, at least in a vacuum, across the entire series. Brawl Mach Tornado is the best move on its character, but a character like Robin, for example, couldn't do much to abuse it. Monado or block on the other hand? Every character in every fighting game can benefit in a major way from stat changes or making their own platforms
Oh it's block alright. Shield art ignores you for landing a move, but block punishes you for landing a move. No move in smash history has ever allowed the character to penalise someone for choosing the right option except block
Ok but where's sonic spin dash? This move plays neutral for you as it plays mind games with your opponent every time you use it, it's commitment free, it combos, it's a recovery, it's hella annoying to deal with...Like it's just way better than sephiroth f tilt because sephiroth is still good without f tilt but sonic just falls apart without side b (is what I would have said if he didn't have an identical clone of side b in his down b but you get the point)
Hot take, corrin bair is just a better cloud bair because it’s only 2 frames slower but it’s just as strong and auto space for you and you can use it to recover
Cloud's back-air is overrated. While a big, safe kill-move is great, the mediocre speed and poor duration are thoroughly unimpressive. There are faster back-airs that are safe and kill, there are safer back-airs that are fast and kill, and there are stronger back-airs that are fast and safe. It's a top 10 back-air. Not a top 10 move.
I have always said this: smash aint a good fighting game. Its a really fun party game, but design and balancewise it is an awful fighting game. Just look at kazuya and gannon. Both are heavy hitters but one has consistent hyper armor, a projectile, and good recovery.
7:01 That's one of the things I love about Ganondorf (even though he sucks); his Forward Tilt is probably his fastest move and kills really early.
Cloud bair would be a pretty much direct downgrade to ike's bair since essentially both serve the same purpose exept ike's bair is smaller but kills earlier
Just list jokers moveset and the vid is done lol. Also aegis getting witch time for rolling aint a move but THAT is actually so effing broken
there are so many great moves in the game, and many great movesets in the game overall.
Why do
You say greninja has a bad grab game? Up throw combo and down throw combo.... slow but long grab.. dont get it
Haven't watched yet, but I'm assuming number 1, will be Steve's "Block" or neutral B
Okay but wii fit deep breath is gotta be somewhere increase speed and kill power i feel that would suit a lot of characters
Call it a hot take idgaf but I genuinely believe DK back air is 10 times more broken than clouds
Disagree with seph ftilt. Might be good on a lot of characters. But you know who it's mid on? Seph 😅
I would like to hear your takes on the worst moves in smash as well!
Alolan whip and revenge where? I would argue that revenge is better than menu, and alolan whip is better than bowser side b.
It’s not really a move but Peach float should get a nod for being the absolutel best movement option in the game
Snake's box technically is a direct upgrade for all the cast
I think dk bair outclasses cloud bair. Faster, more combo potential, and more killpower
Side note as for who has an out of shield option for sephiroth forward tilt. shulks up special can
can you mod a character with all those moves and 1v1 a really good player
Ganon with a charge shot would be terrifying.
5:35 aint no way you think seph f tilt is better than zss flip kick bro are you on crack?
As time goes on, Diddy Side B, Incin Side B & Steve Side B > Bowser Side B
Ice climbers nair is actually safer than link's at +2, but yeah links is still better
Gun, Waft, Banana/Gyro and Block going undrafted is wild
Waft would suck on fast fallers as your meant to use your floaty air mobility to weave around enemy attacks until you get your waft, while I can’t imagine a rushdown or a fast faller utilizing waft as well as a down B currently in their kit.
Sonic would abuse the shit out of waft though.
Forward tilt isn't even the best move on sephiroth, let alone top ten move in the game
Sephiroth’s F tilt is good but it is not even close to a top 10 move in the game
ewgf definitely a top 3 move along with g&w up b and monado
Block
@@greedo194 non-universal moves like the video
And spindash/spincharge remain the most underrated moves:(
you should make ur opinion of the best character
2:06 thats couldve been mr vars and we'd never know (hes a chad)
Wario waft spin dash sonic, steve block, roy jab,
No block, minecart, anvil, gyro, or spindash?
Duuuuuuuude! Imagine Chrom with GnW up b or ZSS flip kick! Up b - bair/up air would be a straight up kill confirm. Or you could do jab - flip kick. I could even see fthrow - flip kick being a thing. If he had either of them, he would unironically be the best character in the game.
If Chrom’s recovery was even just slightly better, he’d be probably as good as or better than Roy.
They could let Chrom snap to ledge on the way up and he would be top tier easy
Chrom with a normal or below average recovery would already be broken.
No minecart, bonus fruit, nokita, or omnislash????
I cant read that fast so heros down b wouldnt do well for me.
8:40 what the fuck give me some of what you are smoking
Steve block has more utility than bouncing fish
Why on EARTH is Steve neutral B not here?
gun should've been on there like top 5 at least
Fire can Stage Spike though which does Ko
