Maybe Cassidy wrote those 2 questions to keep Michael alive, since we know that the animatronics are powered by strong emotion and since Micheal is in a sort of limbo state of animatronic-ness not really what to call it, Cassidy wrote these questions/statements to remind Michael of the pain he felt killing his brother and the anger he feels towards his father, just a guess though idk.

But hearing matpat call the crying child Michael OVER and OVER again was hurting my brain. I was worried maybe my memory wasn't right and my lore was all wrong. In hindsight, (also after watching security breach's latest theories), Ballora's shut eyes may be a metaphor that the mom's actually dead (most likely from suicide) as yet another consequence of Afton's actions.
Usually FNAF's lore feels like it's stitched together along as the games release, but this detail together with the 'tomb' lyric gives a feeling of that being the story since Ballora's inception.
You can say even that FNAF's lore is kinda... _stitchwraithed_ as it goes along!

The theory with suicide makes sense as in the therapy tapes that Vanessa did the therapist mentions her mother and it glitches out when she says “your mother…*glitches* after the divorce didn’t she?” And when it glitches the words ‘killed herself’ fit perfectly into the sentence.
William may have actually killed her to further cover up his tracks and give her new life as a new animatronic.

I thing it’s just like she’s ignoring the things that William has his eyes open to, Ballora is always dancing, the wife likely got lost in her hobbies, that was how she coped, she thought he was doing the same thing and wanted to share that together, encouraging him to come listen to the music in her halls, she’s doing fun happy things trying to make the best of life and he is stuck trying to bring the kids back, she thinks he’s getting lost in his work like her and feels like he hates her for doing the same thing he’s doing, when to him she is abandoning them by not dwelling on their deaths like he is

Another theory maybe since mikes name was crossed out and mike was also taken control of by baby so maybe the book was given to the crying child after he died like as will-iam pun intended. One theory: the reason that Mike Afton crossed off his name was because he saw the “do you remember your name” and all of a sudden, pairing his memory loss with that message convinced him it wasn’t his real name

Theory: what if it's not Cassidy talking to the crying child in the book but instead it's mike and it's him talking to his brother, if it is the case, that means the crying child doesn't remember his name, most likely because of the bite

Maybe in like for example 2050 where time traveling is a thing there and on that time scott is the owner of Chucky cheese, maybe he is so determined to make a game about the backstory of his company so he used the time traveling machine to go on early 2013/2014 to make games about the backstory about Chucky cheese but he put some pizzazz to the story then he planned to reveal it in another game way longer than the first game he created about Chucky cheese (FNaF) to make it more exciting

I’m a fan of your vids and Idk if you saw my comment (it has over 300 likes as of now), but I think that it is possible that William extracted remnant from CC after the bite and used it in the scooper in SL, having both CC and foxy Bro in the body of Michael. I believe this theory because it explains why in the lonely Freddy story and this story that the personalities of CC and foxy bro are mixed. But I do believe because it was through remnant that brought CC into Michael that CC still exists as shadow Freddy simultaneously, which explains how Cassidy is speaking through CC in the logbook.
But Matpat did seem a little confused in this vid because of the plot holes that exist of Michael was only foxy Bro, but at least now things are clearing up.

Maybe the line “Does he still talk to you?” Isn’t about fredbear but about William. Does your dad still talk to you? Is he still mad at you for what you did to your brother. We never really go into how William dealt with the older brother. And perhaps the reason he crossed out his name, he gave the book to his brother, only to take it back after the the crying child’s death.

You'd need some sort of reason to assume it's referring to William though. The page could technically be talking about anyone, but the assumption it's referring to the Fredbear doll is based on the fact that 1.) The Fredbear doll is constantly talking to the crying child and victim, and 2.) He's the only thing on that page, looking at the reader.
It's hard to say if it's *actually* referring to the Freddy doll or not, but for now, unless there's more proof first, saying it's referring to William would be a stretch, or just spitballing possibilities.

I’m thinking that the character in FNAF 4 is Michael. His favorite toy is the purple phone (referring to Michael), does he remember anything after the accident? While in the room we see references to a hospital bed which could be a reference to Pete’s hospitalization. Maybe the mini games are him going in and out out of conciseness and having guilt trips. And if I recall, Foxy is in the closet which could be him being tortured by Foxy.

Coming back to this theory after Security Breach: Ruin wondering if the Balloria story with holographic cardboard glasses is a reference to the Vanny mask in Ruin.
After Security Breach, it could be likely that the glasses from Dance with Me are made with the same technology used to make Roxy's eyes. Freddy and Gregory can't see the CDs and Freddy can't see Vanny until he gets the upgrade.

Ballora slowly got closer until eventually body-swapping with the kid, much like how glitchtrap slowly got closer until eventually body-swapping with us in FNAF VR. I believe this is scott telling us that the body-swap ending of FNAF VR is the true ending.

I just got done rewatching fnaf trailers and I stumbled upon the fnaf ar special delivery trailer, now I guess I have found a great asset to solve your problem with the confusion of ballora and the cardboard glasses. Hear me out so in the fnaf ar special delivery trailer you will see animatronics originally haunting inside of your phone but if you keep watching you will see that the animatronics will manifest in the real world somehow (mayyybe its a ghost thing a.k.a demonic). But anyway if you listen closely you'll hear whats sound like springtrap a.k.a William Afton a.k.a the purple guy say "this is real". Is it possible that the questions in the book aren't actually directed AT Michael, but instead directed FROM Michael? We've learned of psychic powers and whatnot - perhaps it's possible that Michael's thoughts and regrets are showing themselves in the logbook, unintentionally? I mean, we see in FNaF 1 that - assuming one of the animatronics is Michael's younger brother - that they can just say thing(s?) at practically any time - why would they steal/haunt his logbook and write questions in it for him that he probably wouldn't even see?

I know this is random, but I love how the majority of the FNaF fandom follows MatPat, Dawko, and other's theories as the true story. The Game Theorists in particular did a great service to the series and brought the fandom together like no one else could. MatPat is a highly respected and trusted leader of the Five Nights at Freddy's fandom. Thanks for being a part of my childhood.

That's exactly what I first thought before Mat finished the sentence.
I was thinking kinda the other way around. What if the child told his older brother at some point about the talking fredbear, and in a vain attempt to connect with is dying brother, he takes his side. He asks his younger brother if the bear still talks. In fact, all of the questions asked could be from Mike to the crying child, though it doesn’t explain why he’d write it down.

If I remember my own theories correctly, I thought that one spirit may have written the "faded" text (which Matthew quoted in a video) and another may have changed the typed text (like the pages where "I can't see" and "The party was for me" sentences are. I don't have a Logbook, I try to remember what I saw on the Internet...) These may be two ghosts talking to each other. I wonder why Mike, the one writing the red text, doesn't seem to notice this dialogue at all though... That's what I made up

Anyone else notice that the cardboard glasses mirrors the bunny mask in security breach DLC with its hollowgraphic tech and how it can affect reality (the virtual reality mechanic in the DLC), this may reflect a future story beat in security breach, potentially with the evil AI and a method it can use to take a host much like Vanessa and her whole bunny situation. Just saying.
