The brakes on those vintage Corvettes always had sticky caliper issues, which made the car pull in any unknown direction any time the brakes were applied. ... corrected only by installing stainless steel calipers.
That's a beautiful car,,,I think 1978 is when they reduced the horsepower,,,,I think can't remember,,,,hell at 71 that was a long time ago,,,but just wanted to say thank you young man for your videos,,,,,I'm still gonna come up and get 1 from you
1975 was the year where every car really lost power as that was the first year for the catalytic converter and while not back to full power, by 1978 the horsepower was starting to creep back up. 1975 L48 165hp, L82 205hp 1978 L48 185hp, L82 220hp Put a good exhaust on and get rid of the cat and you could easily pick up 30-40 hp and that's more like it.
I have one just like that, had it about 11/2years completely rebuilt the steering, brakes, a/c, rebuilt under dash, new radio, pulled gas tank, new compressor, new alternator, all new hoses, new heater fan rebuild cruise control, new tires, 62000 miles and a lot of others. The car is in very good mechanical shape only needs carpet and that is my next project. My question is this is a true sport car why do they hold their value like a Chevelle or a Camaro
Beautiful Corvette and one of my favorite year models. It might be heresy to some people but these cars just don't look right without that rear spoiler. I wish I had a set of those reflective glass T-tops for my sister's 76. The glass tops are sooo much nicer. Unfortunately, like many Corvette's of the era, this car has some potentially serious rust issues. It's a good bet that if you pulled up the carpet the floorboards are rust rotting away. If those floorboards are solid, this car at this price is a good deal for someone. If I had a spare $15k I'd buy it.
Its amazing that such a beautiful car is going so cheap. I love Maple Motors. I wish i wasn't so poor id love to walk your yard. If i get lucky, lottery or something, I'm a comin'. Rear brake adjustment maybe
some rust on frame rails, but other than that, beautiful Vette!! yeah, i am subbed. i just love classic cars, if i had the bucks, half that lot would be at my house.
You know Nick back in the late 80s my friend had a vw and they took a s10 short wheelbase and put 350 and a turbo 350 transmission,,,, plus they narrowed the frame,,,,and with with the motor in the front,,,,,it was a bad mow getter,,,and of course the wheely bars
I will never buy a new car. Give me something at least 30 years old and easy to fix, you get a personal connection with cars you repair yourself new cars even if it's a reliable model will eventually take the cost more than it is worth dump. There's a point in time where the tools just made it not worth it.

That car! 😍 My husband ordered one back in 1978 and it was his favorite Corvette out of the many he’s owned. THE best emblems!
My wife always wanted a vette she Test drove this very car 30 years, haven't heard one word since about a vette ! 😂👍
Now that is just a nice & at 46 years old is in remarkable condition, thanks for sharing a ride in a beautiful classic.

Now that is a beauty and at a beauty of a price!!!~
Ac doesn't really work though
Brings back memories Dad had same Vette but ours had black interior!

Looks very solid car
Always loved these cars but a little to low to the ground at my age
some rust on frame rails, but other than that, beautiful Vette!! yeah, i am subbed. i just love classic cars, if i had the bucks, half that lot would be at my house.
Very nice looking Vette. Won’t last long. Keep up the good work!
Good looking car! I love vettes, but man I hate how Chevy dumbed down their horsepower around these years.
I had a twin to this in the mid eighty's. Blew the motor so bad it busted the block! Sad I lost all the value of a anniversary car.

That's a really nice vette. Won't last long at that price.
Price was just lowered to $13,900
Needs some break work. But still not a bad Vette. Although in 78 they were not powerful at all!😊
A very good-looking car at a good price. You won't have this one long.
Good morning people 🤘
Descent driver for the price bonus has a flywheel cover looks like the calipers maybe sticking a little easy fix a little maintenance
I’ll take it!
Classic.
Not a bad vette for the price!
Nice
I'll take it
How did you guys @ Maple Motors make out with the Hurricane ?
We were not in the path
👍
Great looking car too bad the government and Chevrolet lowered the amount of horsepower during those years. Either 185 or 220 HP.
Is there a ticking sound or is that a belt sounds like it might be a valve ??
Do the lights work?

Too bad no 4spd manual.
