This will be my first project after I regain dexterity in my left hand. It took me about 5 years last time. I'm a year in now again. I'll spend some time working on my queen sized waffle stitch afghan. The first I'll have ever made for myself! This squishy is adorable!! @@mooglyblog The loss of use is due to strokes. I had a complete inability to even move a finger. A year later I can cook and change my 2 y/o grandson (for whom is make the squishy). Thank you for your well wishes.

The Octopus Squish shows the first few rounds and talks through the rest - it's just rounds of hdc in a spiral. :)

According to a quick google search, "Squishmallows are made from a blend of polyester fiber and a special type of memory foam. They are also made from a spandex/polyurethane exterior. These materials are strong and durable, which prevents the plush toy from breaking and shrinking"
