  • Explore further in your Ford Transit with the confidence that self-recovery can provide. This front winch mount integrates into the chassis of the Ford Transit extensively to allow for proper loading of the chassis during extreme recovery scenarios. Featuring two ¾” thick front shackle recovery points and an included front receiver that adds both style and functionality to the front of the Ford Transit.
Manufactured from high strength 3/16” and ¾” thick steel along with ¼” thick square tubing, this front winch bumper is CNC cut, formed and welded at Van Compass to ensure a perfect fit. The bumper goes through a dual stage powder coating process once constructed. A zinc rich primer is applied and baked on before the final matte black finish for maximum corrosion protection. The Van Compass front winch mount is fully compatible with all front-end sensors, including parking sensors and the brake assist / adaptive cruise control radar sensor.
This winch mount is bolt on with some simple trimming of factory bumper components. The included front receiver is rated for a static load capacity of 300 lbs and is great for bike racks or used as a self-recovery point. Like all Van Compass products, all necessary hardware to install this onto the Ford Transit is included. For more information see the detailed instructions and photos on this product page.
Add the optional 4079 Aluminum front skid plate compatible with the receiver on this winch mount for the ultimate in recovery and protection for the front end of your Ford Transit.
*** This front winch mount is designed around the Warn Zeon series of winches. Many other winches are compatible with this kit, but please reference the Warn Zeon 12 winch for the maximum winch size.
As for the front receiver hitch, it is designed to hold items like bike / motorcycle racks, recovery shackle or even a winch cradle for vehicle recovery. Manufactured from high strength 3/16” steel and ¼” thick square tubing, this front receiver is CNC cut, formed and welded at Van Compass to ensure a perfect fit. The receiver goes through a dual stage powder coating process once constructed. A zinc rich primer is applied and baked on before the final matte black finish for maximum corrosion protection.
The Van Compass front hitch replaces and replicates the stock front bumper hidden under the plastic front bumper fascia. It is fully compatible with all front-end sensors, including parking sensors and the brake assist / adaptive cruise control radar sensor. This receiver mount is bolt on with some simple trimming of factory bumper components. The receiver is rated for a static load capacity of 500 lbs. Like all Van Compass products, all necessary hardware to install this front receiver hitch is included. For more information see the detailed instructions and photos on this product page.

    Nicely done.
Please come out with a complete rear bumper replacement, with the hitch integrated into the body of the bumper, not below, so us extended van owners can gain some departure angle with hitch.

Best option out there without going Aluminess overkill (IMO). I'll be ordering soon. My only suggestion is a taller, and possibly also wider, nerf bar. If you've ever had a deer go through your radiator, you would know...

Could this/my van’s suspension up front handle the weight of a dirtbike/grom? Thank you! Love your products!

Can you fit your kits (Topo 2.0 lift, front bumper/winch, diff/intercooler skid plates, etc) to an already built coach? Like a Coachmen Beyond? I assume so since it is built on the Transit AWD EcoBoost platform?

Any overheating issues with this setup blocking the intercooler? A few friends with only aftermarket bumpers are experiencing it going uphill.

We have had no issues. We tested this design towing 7K lbs 1000 miles from Ca to ID in 90+ degree weather. No problems.

I would like to see a 600 lbs.-rated front receiver hitch so I can mount a dual dirt bike carrier on the front. Want to be able to transport 2 dirt bikes up front (approx. 230 lbs. each + 100 lb. carrier) & a 600 lb. (500 lb. bike + 100 lb. carrier) ADV motorcycle on the rear hitch. Van will be an Extended-Length Long Wheel Base High Roof camper conversion & I don't want to pull a trailer, so I want to carry 3 total motorcycles on front & rear hitch carriers. Can you guys solve this?

There is no way you can put 2 dirt bikes up front, imagine the lever effect.
The extended has a pathetic departure angle as well, probably not ideal to even have the rear extended 4 more feet.
Trust me through, I’m dreaming of the same :)

Yeah, the would be Hella sketch. The spot that the hitch mounts to is not very thick. That 300lb load rating is to keep you from damaging the van itself.
The rear hitch tounge weight is around 800-1000 lbs depending on the style hitch you have. I installed a class 4 on my van and seeing how it goes on, I doubt I would want to push that rating.
Transit is a unibody construction, it doesn't have a beefy frame underneath like on a pickup truck.

@@sampepthanks for the insight. I wondered about departure angle.
